Thank you for your sweet post! No, I don't have any profiling experience. I started out in crypto maintenance and that slowly evolved to computer and network management over the years. Thank you, though, for the compliment! :)

I want to say 'thank you' in this post because sometimes pushing the 'thank you' button just isn't enough! :)

I'm going to go through the very first links posted in these threads. There appears to be a few different stories about the co-worker and witnesses. I've heard that someone sat and watched the van and I've also heard that someone drove by, turned around, and came back to the station as the van...

Yes, I'm sorry if my post was confusing... As far as I know there was only one 911 call.

From early reports, the 'witnesses' were driving by the Exxon station and saw something 'out of the ordinary'. This is what I think happened: Husband and wife (Jessica's co-worker) are driving down the road. Wife glances over at the Exxon station. (We all do this when we pass by our place...

A military cop (MP) does not know the specifics of training for Special Forces. Nobody participates in Special Forces training except for Special Forces. ALL military are in danger of becoming POWs. It's inherent to the nature of "Fighting for your Freedom". We all serve or have served...

BBM... I'm retired Air Force. Passing a poly is not the 'first thing they teach'. Or teach at all.

BBM I agree that she wasn't being harassed or stalked openly. I believe any stalking was done covertly. He had to walk a fine line between watching her and being obvious that he was watching her. Being as pretty as she is, I'm sure she had a lot of admirers. And I agree that Jessica would...

The cash drawer being out is a disturbing detail. Does anyone know if it was actually 'out' as in 'out in the open' or 'on the counter', or was it 'out' as in 'still in the cash register and not put away for the night'. I go with the theory that she went out to 'help' him because her family...

I agree. This is very much a sociopathic crime.

It was a crime of obsession. He is obsessed with Jessica's type, but not necessarily Jessica herself. This guy knew he was going to abduct somebody. He did it on HIS terms. He picked this station due to its location. I think he had checked out other stations and other workers. Jessica fit...

I agree that there may be another witness that the police have not publicly mentioned. I also think that the person who saw the van that night had probably seen the man before at the store. If he was stalking he may have been at the store a lot. The clerks would know a 'regular' customer...

Good questions! Personally, I believe the perp was stalking several gas stations and several girls. He took Jessica because his 'stars' aligned so to speak. She was alone, there were no other customers, etc. I thought about a smoke break... but very early on in this thread someone pointed...

Thank you. I did see where she spoke to her fiance shortly before the abduction. I just didn't see anything specific about her cell phone being in the store. Thanks again for the info!

Her car, purse, and 'personal belongings' were left at the store and no cash was missing... has anyone seen anything specific regarding her cell phone? It would be inferred that it is a 'personal belonging'- and therefore in the store... but in other recent missing person cases the cell...

Not to go too off topic, but I graduated in 1983. My graduation night was full of parties with no adult supervision. And, after many changes of plans, I ended up at home only because the last party we were at was busted by the police (otherwise we would have all crashed there for the night)...

Thank you for your kind words :) There are several on this board who I believe do their 'due diligence' (perfect wording- thank you!). You are one of them also. Thank you for sharing your expertise with us! :)
