I'm sorry you've had to deal with so much in your life, Slanda. I have GAD too and I cringe every time Juan gets loud. He and most of this board would hate me if I ever ended up on his stand! lol
I, too, agree that he was treading dangerous waters right in the beginning. To certain ears...
Why is she a joke for not wanting her presentation misrepresented? I'm pro-Juan usually but I'm going against the grain of the board here. I think he is not doing well today. At all.
I thought it was a nice change to the monotony of the testimony which I figured the jurors might have appreciated. I heard some chuckling in the courtroom-at-large. Saying that, I don't think either your opinion or mine are wrong.
I'm bringing this over from the Observer thread because it's more of a discussion topic. :seeya:
I still like and feel apprehensive for ALV. If she stuck to the admonition not to follow the trial until called to testify, she has no clue - or is just gaining a dawning realization - of the...
Perry was lenient to the defense to a point with it being a DP case, sure. However, he was also VERY courteous to the jury, punctual, knowledgeable of citations, would correct incorrect motions, kept the court MOVING as much as possible by both extending hours and threatening to hold Saturday...
No, seriously. Does this judge even like judging? Because she's always taking and extending breaks and never reprimanding anyone or making people stick to a schedule. Judge Perry she ain't.
I am so glad I am not watching this trial in person. I would have been thrown out fifteen times for yelling in frustration and then gone to jail for contempt.
Is he really winding up now? I feel like we should be spending more time on the murder but maybe I've just become too acclimated to Jodi stalling and arguing for hours on end.
She looks lost. Her heart isn't into the verbal sparring just now. Jodi knows she isn't winning right at this moment, but she's definitely still looking for any opportunity to gain the upper hand (in her mind) again.
She doesn't know what to do with ANYONE when she can't predict what they are...
So where does the dragging onto the carpet and down the hallway come into play? That's the part I don't get, with that huge pool of blood. Did she keep him there while she showered? UGH.
I think Martinez is doing a GREAT job. Jodi seems like a slippery eel every time she pulls these stupid tricks. The last thing she seems to be is truthful, recalcitrant, or remorseful.
This jury has it easy. Jodi's testimony is like a negative space painting. Just look at all the things she spontaneously can't remember (like the grandfather's handgun) and you basically have a confession.
