I did see the video, thank you for posting it.

LE has been very guarded in this. They don't seem to rule out anyone, and when they hint that they have....it seems to be a muse.

We all know the cousin took a gun, Ron got mad, yadda yadda....but after meeting with LE, Ron no longer even admits there is a cousin/gun/fight.


Ron and MC are being told to withhold info from the press...imo

I wouldn't be shocked if LE is doing that too.
 
i'm sure if/when asked about it again, LE will just spew their standard lines:
we're not excluding anyone.
no one is a suspect nor poi.
we will investigate any tip or lead that we feel could be credible.
yadda, yadda, yadda.
 
Shocked about LE withholding information. LOL

That was the first info from LE about anyone involved being cleared or "Not a person of interest". Not sure about the RSO.
 
This is I believe the great grandmother told the media,from what Misty told her.And ofcourse she had to be brought into LE to answer questions on that.I am wondering if she isn't giving up info to RC's family to justify the different stories she's come up with,strange that when Media started questioning about her stories varying,she all of a sudden came up with the cousin story.So now she's saying she got into a fight w/cousin,but earlier it was Ronald got into a fight with him.hm

I noticed that's changed along with him actually taking the gun to "trying to steal the gun". It seems to be a big leap from attempting to steal a gun to kidnapping Haleigh. And, he's supposed to have been visiting for what, two weeks?? :waitasec:

Biggest difference though is LE only had one shot at questioning KC but this story keeps morphing because of the length of time since Haleigh's disappearance and nobody in custody. MOO
 
Something just occured to me so I'm going to post it here under cousin thread.

Now Misty likes to talk. She can tell you about blankets for quite a while. She can tell you about a lot of things. But when the media asked her if she has talked to her cousin.

She said very simply and did not elaborate: I haven't talked to him since he left. (can't remember the exact words sorry). Odd for her not to ramble. Not picking at her just sayin'...

I noticed that, too. Misty really isn't dumb like some think. She understands the questions and answers them just enough to give some info. Maybe it's the media that's getting things twisted around, but why is Misti even commenting to them about her cousin. LE is the only one that should know these things. If the cousin took Haleigh it could be dangerous to blurt out all this stuff on national tv.

Yup I agree txsvicki and you know what else I remembered when I read your post?

You said "misty really isn't dumb like some think"

In the article where she talked about herself to the media. She said she's a city girl and doesn't really like the country. She's a city girl and I think she might be a bit more savvy than we are giving her credit for being.

At first when I saw her I thought she might be a little slow to comprehend things, but after seeing her Today interview, I've changed my mind. She sure was quick to jump into the defensive mode when talking about the pink shirt. MOO

Surprised at this. He, SO LE arrested and AC guy, I believe, are only ones I recall LE actually saying were cleared.

But was his friend Brandon F. involved? Have they questioned him? It's my understanding that it was Joe and his friend who visited. I could be wrong but that's how I understood it. This Brandon looks like trouble looking for a place to happen. If he was indeed with Joe then I think he needs to be questioned as well.

I've not heard about a Brandon, so i'm not sure.. just that Misty's cousin was cleared.

Recently, tipsters said they saw a man and a young girl who looked like Haleigh at a Carrabba's restaurant in Tennessee. The man was reportedly seen trying to shield the child's face and driving away in a sport utility vehicle with a Florida license plate.

Misty Croslin, the girlfriend of Haleigh's father, has a cousin who lives in Tennessee. At the time of Haleigh's disappearance, her cousin was visiting.

There was some thought that he may have had something to do with it.

Matt Lauer, of the "Today" show, spoke with Croslin about her cousin Friday morning.

"I really don't know," Croslin said. "I don't know if he did or not."

"That's an interesting way to answer the question," Lauer said. "I think a lot of people might said, 'No, I'm positive that person had nothing to do with Haleigh.' You're not sure?"

"I'm not quite sure at all," Croslin answered.
