And just to confuse things more, LG, the motion mentions only the July 15 handcuffing (which maybe never happened) and not the October 14 handcuffing (which surely happened).

And I'm now expecting an amended motion before 5pm, which will include the October 14th handcuffing. AZ, quit helping them!

:floorlaugh: Oh good, I was thinking I'd fallen off the edge of the world - good to know why I'm confused - now I'm still confused but I don't feel so bad about it!
This does sound more like Mason hasn't got his facts right again. Remember when he first started speaking about evidence in court we all thought:waitasec: is he in the right courtroom? Has he even glanced at the actual evidence because he was so far off the mark. Maybe he made this deduction because they had this evidence all laid out in pages on the table in the boardroom to look over and it was Baez's job to gather them up and staple each of them back together for Mason, and..........

Well it makes sense to me!

OMG... the defense is basing this on KCs texts? After all the lies the girl has told? Yet they ignore her stories of a job and a nanny. I am truly dumbfounded.

Maybe they're thinking that they can just say whatever and it'll be more work for the state to have to disprove the lie? Confuse the jury? There's no way that they actually just take her word on that, it's not like there weren't other people there.

I keep remembering a girl a few years back who faked her own abduction or something like that, and when it finally became known that she had lied, she was ordered to pay back the money the police and rescue spent trying to find her. I wonder if there's any way the state of Florida can be recompensed for all the tangents and misdirects KC sent them on. Just gas money to and from Universal would be a start.

Has the defense demanded her payroll records from Universal? Has the defense demanded the rental history of Sawgrass Apartments? Has the defense checked the hospital where Zanny was taken after her accident? Has the defense demanded records from Zanny's insurance company (the papers KC had to get, while Zanny's sister kept Caylee)? Has the defense asked for anyone who may have witnessed the altercation at Blanchard Park to come forward? Has the defense interviewed the employees of Fusian (where KC was looking for Zanny), and other places Zanny was know to frequent (according to KC)? Has the defense subpoened KC's cell phone records to find Zanny's number? Has the defense demanded that Universal turn over to them KC's WORK phone?

hahahahahahahaha I think not.

Wasn't that crazy-eyed Jennifer Wilbanks?

Anyhow, as much as I would love to see the state of Florida collect back all the wasted tax payer monies spent going on a casey-led wild goose chase, seeing as miss thang never had a job or any assets and never will (except in prison), such a lawsuit would be a grand waste of time.

iirc
They did send the PI to go pick up employee records at Universal and other Clerical duties...and then bill the JAC for work that could be and should be done by a Baez Law Firm employee...

You are kidding??? I must be in a goofy mood today because that really strikes me as funny. I wonder how the defense will spin her Target purchases? Blockbuster video rentals? Maybe those won't even be brought up but since they happened during the time she was searching for Caylee on her own I'd think they would be important. Since they want some old boyfriend to testify that she actually wrote in that diary in 2003... what are they doing about her nanny/work/searching on my own stories?

..for the what it's worth pile, lee doesn't recall handcuffs.

lee---state depo--

Q -- but do you have a specific recollection of seeing her in a police car?

A Yeah. She was in the cop car before I ended
up going to Tony's. I'm trying to remember how that --
kind of how that was or what -- oh. I was asking her, like, what her sign-ons for MySpace and, like, her e-mail and all that kind of stuff because I'm trying to -- I want to go through her, you know, her stuff to see if I can, you know –

Q When -- I'm sorry.
A -- figure anything else --

Q When were you asking her this?

A That should have been before I went to see --
it should have been before I went to see Tony.

(later on)
Q -- Okay. The discussion that you and Mr. George had about getting Casey's passwords while she was sitting in the patrol car --
A Yes.

Q -- was she cuffed in the car?
A I don't think so. I think she was just in the backseat.
Q Door was open?
A Her -- no. No. No. The door was shut. Like, the door that she -- her door was shut. Police officer was still in the car. I'm pretty sure it was the first responding officer, the very first one that came, his window was down because I talked through his window while he was in the car to her so --

BBM-

I have no idea. We've been waiting on this "ah ha" moment JB has been promising us since 2008 where we will all finally "understand." The catch: we have to wait until trial.

81 days until jury selection begins! 81 days!

You'll have to go check the JAC invoice/payment thread for the invoices..
JBP did mention at a hearing that some of the things invoiced would not be paid out by the JAC because it was work that could have been done by a paralegal and clerical staff..

didn't you hear Casey was tipped off Zanny and Caylee were shopping at Target...she thought they might be in the beer and lingerie aisles but must have missed them..even Target surveillance was out to thwart her investigative attempts at finding Caylee.

I'm surprised that Fusian was allowed to keep their doors open after Casey went looking there for Caylee and Zanny. I've heard of clubs and bars serving and catering to minors before, but two-years-old seems a little young, no?

I decided to take a ride back in time and visit some old docs tonight. I'm not sure if this is the July 15th incident you are referring to...but fwiw, in Officer Adriana Acevedo's report, she states that "Ms. Anthony entered (voluntarily) my marked patrol car to show us the apartment complex where Caylee was last seen."

Officer Acevedo's Report (pg. 1)

At least at THAT time, there is nothing to suggest she was handcuffed.

eta: Okay, I read another doc that refreshed my memory. Yuri took her back to Sawgrass after her ride with Officer Acevedo and that is when she pointed out the seniors facility . I guess this is the time you guys are talking about. YM simply states, "The defendant agreed to show me the three last known locations of Zenaida in hopes of identifying her."

Yuri's Narrative (pg. 2)

I was watching WESH/s report from today's news thread
http://www.wesh.com/r-video/26919240/detail.html
their first on Caylee, and it dawned on me why they ran this particular piece now. It shows in the video, Casey being placed, handcuffed in a patrol car. This was after she was escorted out, wearing the blue hoodie she bought with Amy's hard earned money.
I know this is not when the motion states she was placed in handcuffs, however, I do believe WESH regurgitated this video for other reasons than just a walk down memory lane.

In AU Family speak - It's ALL IN!!! :woot:

Read Order Here

Read it and weep, Casey!

Caylee thanks you, Judge Perry!! :heartbeat:

Okay... now that I have calmed down, I think I am going to go and listen to every word Casey said during those interviews. They used to make my ears bleed, but something tells me they are going to play like sweet music to my ears today!

Wow! Some beautifully written opinions there. The defense team really needs to go have that sit down "come to Jesus" meeting with KC, and make her understand just how bad this all is.

I think the judge also just fired yet another clear warning shot across the defenses bow with the inclusion of the Universal studios interview. He does do his own research, and he will NOT be responding well to attempts to intimidate his court by threat of appeal. He rules on what is in front of him and the Law he has.
