TY! I'm gonna try this.

When you say 2 browsers, do you mean tabs? :waitasec:

I am SO non-techy. :iamashamed:

No I run cnn.com/live on my firefox browser because it doesn't take any fiddling, refreshing or whatever. It is the cnn stream screen I have on my left hand top page side. I minimize the page it "comes with".I have WS open on another browser (but it can be done with the same one.) and shrink the WS page enough so basically it is long and narrow, but I can still read and post. So the two sit side by side on my screen - I watch and post - no problem at all!

if you right-click the link to the live video and then select "open in a new window" you will then have two separate windows and you can resize them to whatever works best for your tasks and screen so that you can view both windows simultaneously. HTH.

I open the video in a new window and minimize that. Then I minimize the other window with WS. Resize and have them side by side.

All I can say is....

Why the he77 did HHJP not charge this man with contempt for posting the rules, talking about it, and making jokes about a book deal....yet he charged that Publix guy for just trying to get out of jury duty.

Seriously...that guy needed to be taught a lesson.

I think that opportunity has long since passed...IMHO

I totally agree!

Perhaps his book can be called "I'm lucky I didn't get a contempt charge!"

With 500 friends I'd say he is addicted to Facebook. Some people just can't stay away from it, like other sites we know, ahem, won't mention any names. But sometimes you just can't give it up because it is part of your life. jmo

I TOTALLY agree! What he did was just as egregious as the guy who spoke with the InSessions field producer on purpose. In fact, more egregious, IMO, because at least the first guy was honest in saying he did it to get out of jury service. This guy said on Facebook straight up, "Look for book coming SOON!" :maddening:

He was worse that the first guy by lying and attempting to get seated for his own financial gain.

I think HHJP didn't do anything because he didn't want to waste the court's time. I don't agree with that decision at all.

Well, if Jose is still on the case 'til the end of trial, and KC is convicted, guess what. She will probably write him very long and bizarre letters daily and mail them every stamp opportunity she gets, she will file all the claims she can and he will have to answer to the Courts, she will request a complete copy set of everything (yes, that entire who knows how many thousands pages file) every time she can and he will have to provide it, at his own expense. He is stuck with her for the rest of his life, one way or another, unless he gets off this case somehow very quickly.

Guess ignoring her now is all he has left.

ITA, she will creep on him until her next target comes along.

I'm not sure how it works in Florida, but here in Texas an appellate attorney steps in (if you can get one to accept your case) after a conviction.
If Florida courts operate like this, Jose may have an opportunity to walk away from this train wreck. He may choose hang around the scene though......

Oh Merc well said - how fitting they are tied to each other for all time, poetic or what.

Well I think that's a nice thought right now but I'm pretty sure those cards and letters would be returned stamped as " no such address, addressee unknown." and "return to sender" .

Now are you all humming a little "Elvis" for me???:great:

I have this file on my desktop, and it opens with my jet audio which is excellent in viewing. I can re-size it without losing any quality and it is in very HD quality. I have firefox re-sized and to the left of the video. To re-size, grab the corner of the page and push it until you reach the size you want. Vise verse for the video. It won't let me upload the file but it is a reflector_20877.asx file

Is it possible he did charge him* with contempt just not in the camera's view? That first dude was insolent as he kept insisting he didn't know he did anything wrong and sneering as he left the stand. Must've really po'ed the judge.

ETA: *The Barry White dude, I mean. Sorry.

2nd Edit: Suppose we would've seen it if he had charged him with contempt. Not thinking clearly today. Bronchitis for the past two weeks. :-(

(all TECHY people can move on . . . nothing here you don't know)

I am really a non-techy too but I will try and explain what I do in most non-technical jargon.

1) Minimize the pages you are working on.
2) go to your browser (ie: internet explorer or whatever you use) and click open up a whole new one just like you are logging on to a website to begin with (while still keeping your other stuff minimized).
3) go to whatever site you want to be on the opposite side of the screen (for instance if you have minimized WS thread previously - then open the link to CNN or WFTV or whatever you use on the new (2nd browser page).
4) click the middle pic of the double boxes in the far upper right (between the "-" and the "x" on the page.
5) move your curser to the edge of the page and click and scroll to the left or right of your screen.
6) click on the other browser tab and repeat steps 4 & 5 to be on the opposite side of your screen.

Eureka . . you have it a "split screen" Woo Hoo For You!

This Judge is soooo fair I have never seen anything like it. He just triggers my interest. I loved the Bio on him that was in the paper. He has had his obstacles in life to over come .. and he really has no prejudice.. I just love him..

I think he difference is the first man was deliberately trying to get out of jury duty. This man was not but may have misunderstood exactly what the judge meant. Some people have their social outlets and won't give it up. I guess he felt he was not specific by saying he thinks she's guilty so he was okay. But the book deal, even though he was joking, he should have known better. jmo

I :heartbeat: you!!!

OK, so I will never be writing a "technical manual" for anyone in the future . . . I took up way too much space . . . what a waste (sorry) move along

He was trying to be a Slickie McSlickster with the facebook and news- I felt he was being UNTRUTHFUL on purpose, Casey must have been able to relate to him big time. He went on facebook after judges admonishions, oopsie. But wait, it was only to post he was on jury duty. Oh yeah and while there read a few posts and replied back. Yeah, he was excited about the opportunity that had come his way.

Oh thanks - I um er thought that might be too techy for her....:blushing: apologies Beach....

Must be coming back from lunch a little early. Camera feed just started back up..Casey is in the courtroom.
