Skipped here from page 42 - Greta if fixin' to have some more video of JA from last night that has not been seen yet in case anyone is interested. (I believe the interview was on a Fox channel in Phoenix)....I'll be back later...

An eyewitness on HLN said the Arias family had no one to escort them out.
Another eyewitness said the Alexander family had 5 deputies.
Did Jodi say something threatening concerning the Alexanders? Or, are they always escorted in and out?

I'm sure the judge denied the defense motion about asking the family be made to videotape their victim impact statements. Jodi, the lawyers and at least two family members o Travis, Juan would have all been in the hearing. Jodi was likely plenty mad about that. She likely was acting out something rare form, biblical proportions, today, having been in lock down of the suicide watch, getting a glimpse of what life has in store for her in death row. I betcha she was arguing with her lawyers, who finally decided to ask the judge to have a psych eval and or recuse them from the case since she is flat out refusing to obey their counsel. This would account for the part of the hearing that was ex parte (without the other side). Whatever happened in the courthouse today ratcheted up the suicide hold because in the beginning of the morning, the PIO said Jodi could have visitors later. Then tonite her mom went to go see her, only to learn her status had become more serious and now no visitors were allowed.

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

She will be declared competent to continue, Dr. Kevin Horn will complete his other business and once he is available again, come Wednesday, Juan Martinez will be ready to roll and the judge will carry on. She just delayed the inevitable. She is going to get the death penalty. This week, or next week, no matter...that is her fate. It is inevitable.

I'm off to recline in my bed and watch Castro horror house news. Those three girls need to give JA a heads up on what a true victim is.

OH holy Jesus? I'm sorry, but this is so DISTURBING? This woman is a calculated killer. Thank god she was convicted. Her tone of voice is shocking me. Arranging this interview? THIS is not an abused woman, this is a sick cold blooded killer. Again, tie her to her chair with chains, i'd tape her mouth so she doesn't spit, and let all the family confront her.

AND mostly, I'm anxious to hear what this Judge says to her when she sentences her? Judges often give a little speech and I am really anticipating what she will say. They have a poker face during the trial but that is their moment to verbally beat the daylights out of her.

SOMETHING tells me this Judge will go the route of "I sentence you to Death by Lethal Injection. You committed a heinous unimaginable crime against an innocent man and you have destroyed his life, yours, your family and his family and friends." blah blah.. give it to her good.

end it with "Nobody believes you, you are a liar, and again, nobody believes your stories and by the way they are stupid.. You're not even a good liar or story teller.. now, go to your cement cell and no pencils for you"

Calculated is right. The jury needs to hear all of it.

IMO, the only reason JA's Mother didn't see her was if JA refused.

I still vote for LWOP. Where she is now is Disneyland compared to the really big house with the lifetime hardened criminals. They're probably already already drawing straws on who gets to 'befriend' her first.

The 'in charge' games Jodi is playing now are tantamount to a Kindergarten Easter egg hunt.

I have 2 beautiful chihuahuas and they are NOT yappy. They are sweet, loving, loyal & intelligent pets. I adore them. I love all dogs & all animals.

to me, she appears as a hyped up chiguagua. I cant stand little yappy dogs....I have a big *advertiser censored* german shepherd no offense to those who like those dogs, but that is exactly how JVM appears to me.

I have 4 chihuahua's and I totally agree! They are the most loving, loyal dogs. I only have one that's kind of yappy. She actually sounds more like she's trying to talk. It's a low multi-toned humming noise, and she'll look at you when she's done like, Well?, why you no answer me? She cracks me up!

:please: Oh Please!!!

Omfg she sounds like she's on a business call.

I was a little disappointed she didn't say: If I'm found not guilty, I'll meet you at your place. Make sure you have a camera handy---fun fun.

A bit of an oxymoron kind of thing if you ask me.

I used to think it was ridiculous that they also give the inmate a physical before they execute them. I found out it's to make sure there is nothing physical going on that would interfere with the execution..... An attempt to avoid torturing them if things go awry...

Jean C is sharing on HLN that there is a huge team of mental health experts around her on staff today. Aburpt ending to something that never began. ? whether she was ever transferred yet early JVM did an interview with a COP who stated most likely too much and that she had arrived in a vehicle seperate from all inmates alone in the psych van.

Earlier today on HLN, one of the TH's stated that after JA's family left from visiting last night, that she was taken to another jail that had a psychiatric ward. She is not in the jail she was previously housed in. She wouldn't be taken to court with the usual prisoners, she would be driven in a psych van.

I think that the fact that Arias pre-arranged an interview to take place directly after the jury rendered their verdict - shows Arias self serving duplicitous plan. Arias is astute, calculating, "sharp, and insidious.

Arias while on trial for murder - which has to be taxing / an event that would leave a person exhausted.

Still - Arias had the energy, made the time, took the steps, thought about how to design that the post verdict concentration remained on herself. Keeping the post verdict concentration on herself along with contemplating the direction "Jodi Ann Arias" was going to "take" the post verdict events.

Arias designed a calculating maneuver by arranging the post verdict interview. Arias may not have been able to know the jurors' verdict (we see Arias Wilmott "which one is the foreman)?" Arias devised a plan for herself - if the verdict came back "Not Guilty" Arias was making sure she had "her media" set up so that she could illuminate everyone - she would have more than likely used the interview "junket" that she set up to say something such as, "This has been a vertical climb for me. I am stronger because of it. I now have the pose and prudence to help other victims of domestic violence. My only regret is that I forced into this trial because Det. Flores lies, Juan Martinez hides evidence and is an abuser - instead of using reasonable discretion the state forced a trial. The state have caused me extreme injustices - I am working on forgiving The State of Arizona for putting me though this outrageousness - when I should have been out in the world helping other domestic violence victims. When I think of the number of domestic violence victims have been murdered - victims that I would have been able to save had The State of Arizona wrongly indulged their need to have someone to berate and "beat" up on - unfortunately I was the person that Det. Flores and Juan Martinez chose to wrongly "beat" up on - I become disconsolate. I know that this experience is to make me stronger, and, has made me stronger. It is a shame that my brilliance and dignitary status has been hindered for so long because of people like Det. Flores and Juan Martinez."

Arias is astute (and imaginative). She arranged an interview (self serving press junket) and was prepared to keep the post verdict concentration on her even if the jury rendered a guilty verdict. Arias both invented and crafted this interview - the questions were more than likely pre-arranged. Arias while designing the post verdict effects could have easily said, "you may have this interview ... here are the questions that you will ask." Arias planned this interview to use for her advantage after the verdict. Arias knew exactly what to say to get what she desired - moved to Lower Buckeye Jail. Arias knows that suicidal ideations have to be treated seriously by the jail (the jail would have to put her under a 72 watch/evaluation). Again, IMO Arias knew exactly what she was doing -she knew that she would get the attention that she received today by giving that interview.

I heard Dr. Drew talk tonight about how Arias would have to be really suffering a real mental break for her to be moved into Lower Buckeye Jail. Dr. Drew said that the Psych Staff (his peers) would know if she was having a real break - and must have witnessed Arias having a real mental breakdown which led her to be moved to Lower Buckeye Jail.

In other words - Dr. Drew believes that if Arias was trying to manipulate the Maricopa County Psych Staff - they would recognize this, and, she would not have been moved to Lower Buckeye Jail.

I do not agree with this - in my life I have worked in correctional facilities providing mental health evaluations, care, ect. I have never been impressed with the Psych Staff at any correctional institute that I visited. Lower Buckeye may be very well staffed - however, my experience has been the Psych Staff consisted of CNAs (Certified Nursing Assistants). The CNA's that I worked with became CNA's after 2 - 6 months of schooling. CNA's simply do not have the training to evaluate. Often, there would be a Psychiatrist that would work one to two times a week (really putting a strain on the CNA's).

I think that it is enjoyable for Arias to be at Buckeye. I think that she enjoys talking to the CNA's (every CNA that I have met has been very friendly). Since she has a TV in a room, I think that Arias enjoys seeing how her plan worked: the post verdict coverage has been dedicated to her - the star, and, only person deserving of attention.

I do not think that Dr. Drew has spent time in state correctional facilities - lawyers, psychiatrists, psychologist, psych nurses and CNA's have a much different "venue" than Dr. Drew (a person that I believe wants to help people).

Buckeye was a part of Arias scheme - a calculating maneuver that she has been thought into (we know this since Arias arranged the interview). Arias wants to maintain control - and she has.

The post verdict interview - her plotting her way into Buckeye - are not the first, and more than likely will not be the last, devious device astutely planned by Arias to accomplish her goal of being in control / center of attention.

I hope that the posters that believe Arias is asking for the DP - are correct. I hope that the posters that have reported that Travis Alexander's family were in "high" spirits are true. I hope that Arias is not in control over anything (this is difficult to believe due to the interview).

I am so sorry that Travis Alexander's family and loved ones are still being tortured by Arias - it will soon be 5 years since Arias slaughtered Travis Alexander. It is upsetting that Arias has so much power to hurt - more so, that Arias has the desire to keep on hurting others only thinking about herself.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Beth Karas said that JA was in the courthouse. She didn't go as far as saying that she saw her in the courtroom itself. Later she confirmed that JA had been returned to the jail....

Ok, I watched today and heard three different stories: Beth K. said she was at the courthouse. Jane V. inquired about her manner of dress and was told JA was in civilian clothes so Jane made an assumption that she was at the courthouse. Then Jean C. who has been at the jail said an official there said JA never left the jail today. So, I don't know what the truth is.

Plus an ambulance but JVM said it was for something else...but I bet it was for her

The judge denied the motion for impact statements via video and Jodi couldn't handle that she would have no control over what the Alexander's family would say and flipped out. That's my second guess. Travis' family was escorted out by deputies. I bet they had to take Jodi out strapped on a stretcher.

Absolutely!

I also was thinking on this a bit last night. I think if she had left out the pedo stuff she could have possibly gotten away with Murder 2.
Don't jump on me yet!
The fake fight, the fake abuse, the "self defense" had a tiny chance of flying, some might give a woman benefit of the doubt as they might feel she was too scared to speak up about it while going through it.
But adding in the pedo angle blew her butt out of the water, I think.
Because it has to be downright nil to rare that a pedo shows zero signs (to anyone who pays any attention). They may say things, show odd things with behavior, but most of all in this day and age there is almost 100 percent going to be some electronic proof (computer, phone).
To me this was the part she should not have tried to toss in, but I am dang glad she did!

PS- See edit below....

I won't jump on you because I agree 1000% and have said the same exact thing in the past. Who knows? Her little sob story may have swayed the jury to not give her 1st degree on the off chance she's being truthful. But I feel the pedo lie is what absolutely sunk her. 1.) it's just too OTT for any rational person to believe. There is just no way this lady killing cad rapist is also a pedophile. It's like they just threw every terrible allegation out there to make Travis look as terrible as possible. And 2.) it, like Juan said, demonstrates her hateful and manipulative nature. Only a truly sick and deviant individual could think of such a thing to make people hate her victim.

As much as I feel badly for loving this...when I get under the cozy covers tonite I will be very aware that someone is sleeping on a concrete mattress, and it ain't me LOLOLOL
