Karr's neighbor lady just said on our local news that the only thing strange she saw about him was that "he had 3 children but her never played with them"

Karr's brother seemed very nice but also seemed to be completely unaware of anything bad in which his brother may have been involved. A simple misunderstanding because his brother was writing a book about men that commit crimes against children? Perhaps. But isn't it a bit ironic that this same man is wanted on sex charges and was found with child *advertiser censored* on his computer? I personally think that the story about writing this book was just a convenient excuse. The "research" he was doing was probably more like recreation and the research angle was a pre-fabricated excuse that this sicko had in case he was ever caught.

On Greta, Nate Karr seemed to have no idea of any past trouble that his brother may have had with LE. Sadly, I think that he is going to be shell-shocked to learn what his brother had really been up to.

It should be pretty easy to figure out ... if he's been researching the case for 10 years to write a book, he should have at least a couple of drafts completed by now. No one, not even a teacher, writes that slow.

conducting classes as the sole teacher in the classroom, making assignments, and issuing grades. I taught 22
classes per week. The classes were 45 minutes in duration with an average class size of 18.

Heemstede, Netherlands: I volunteered as an English teacher at an atheneum school, planning and conducting
activities revolving around English and the U.S. culture.

-Primary School Teacher (1996-2001 and Currently) in some of the most prestigious schools in the United States,
working with children from high profile families. I have taught all classes to elementary students including English,
Math, Science, Reading, Social Studies, History, and Computer Technology. I have taught Physical Education with
large groups of 100 to 150 students, ages 5 to 10. I have worked with large groups of children in school plays.

Same mouth - thin upper lip, pouchy lower lip in center, jaw would show more from side view, left eyebrow facing you in newer pic has same line as right eyebrow in older pic - I think one of the pics is turned around, left to right. Plus he is squinting in the newer picture.


I see a lot of distinct similarities.

The new pic almost resembles a news reporter on TV - NBC I think, except his face is a bit wider and he is heavier.

PS: I think this case has had a following for so many years that posters get engrained in their formulated ideas about it. It might be difficult for some posters to accept the fact Patsy didn't kill JonBenet if it is found this guy is good for the killing, as for 10 years they have been convinced she did.

I think the guy slipped into the house some time before the night he killed her and got acquainted with the home and the Ramsey's lives, discovered that little room behind the furnace room and took something Patsy had written. He studied her handwriting to duplicate it which wouldn't be too hard as he is educated and a teacher, and had the note all written when he got to the home on the night of the murder.

What gets me, he murdered her with everyone sleeping soundly who never heard a thing! The balls to do something like that is beyond me.

You think that he stole the pad & pen out of the house, used them to write the note, and then brought them back in and put the pen back in the cup and the pad back where it had been?

Atlanta, was detained in Thailand on Wednesday in the slaying of 6-year-old beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey.
News that Karr had been arrested shocked some family members of the little blond girl, whose killing 10 years ago riveted the nation.

months of investigation. Federal officials familiar with the case, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Karr was already being held in Bangkok on unrelated sex charges.
His brother Nate Karr, speaking from their father's home in Atlanta said, "We're sure he's innocent. We heard that there's good DNA evidence. I hope they can test him as soon as possible so they can exonerate him. We're just positive he's innocent. This is ridiculous."

JonBenet Ramsey's name still summons images of her in makeup and elaborate costumes, performing in tiny-tot pageants. Few news stories in the past decade gripped people as the death of JonBenet, a child homicide that occurred during Christmastime and steamrolled into a national obsession. Strangers thronged to her grave in Marietta, filled the Internet with theories and transformed the little girl into an icon identified by just one name: JonBenet.

I think he broke into the house when they were out and wrote the note, then waited in the basement until everyone was in bed and then murdered JonBenet. I think he had plenty of time to learn the layout of the house, find out what the bonus was, find the note pad, see what the handwriting looked like and more.

Our local news has just said they just received confirmed information from an official in Bangkok that Karr has in fact confessed. Just called it breaking news on our local channel.

Wow! This is amazing. When I heard the news I had to come check out these threads, I knew they'd be busy! It's nice to see familiar names.

Those two photos look like the same guy to me. Same eyebrows, same nose, same mouth. I think it is him and I think he is probably full of it in his resume.

Sounds as if they may have finally caught their guy. I cannot imagine that they would be flying to Thailand to bring this guy back, after having the Thailand authorities arrest him, unless they had some pretty substantial evidence. I guess we will have to wait to find out what it is.

The brother seemed positively clueless to me. He didn't know if his brother was still married, how old his kids were, or that he was in Thailand. Oh--but he DID know that his brother had been writing a book about horrendous crimes against children and had talked about JonBenet, doing all sorts of in-depth research. **shudder** He knew his brother was in some kind of trouble in CA, but didn't know what it was.

Makes no sense. :hand: That's not the M.O. of child molesters/serial killers, they don't leave ransom notes.:snooty: Why leave a ransom note if you don't even have a body to ransom???:doh: More likely the ransom note was part of the staging to cover up JB's murder.
