What children do we have missing in Australia aged 3-5? I did a quick search but couldn't find any other than William?

I'm thinking that if the parent(s) had died/been murdered as well, then no one would have reported the child missing.

It being a child not yet reported missing is possible, but terribly depressing. That nobody knew her (assuming it is a girl) well enough to notice her gone other than the person/s who did this is a terrible concept to get one's head around.

Earlier in this thread someone wrote a shortlist of possible candidates. I'll have a look and edit if I find it.

Rahma El-Dennaoui - 1 year old [2005]:

http://www.missingpersons.gov.au/mis...ahma - nsw

Helen Karipidis - 10 years old [1988]:

http://www.missingpersons.gov.au/mis...elen - nsw

Bradford Pholi - 10 years old [1982]:

http://www.missingpersons.gov.au/mis...ford - nsw

Leela McDougall - 6 years old [2007]:

http://www.missingpersons.gov.au/mis...leela - wa

Out of those, Leela would fit? If the sizes are 3-5. My daughter has everything from size 6 to 10 and she's a tall 8. Sizes are so inconsistent. Her cousin is nine and is still in 7.

Interesting you should say that inspector rex.
I was just reading this

"We encourage everybody in the community, whether it be ordinary members of the community, people within the criminal community, this is a really, really tragic case and we ask everybody to get behind the police."

What about the missing WA mum and daughter? That would fit that theory? Parent also (possibly) dead.. Although daughter was 6 so the age is off

Just catching up, the first thing I thought was that the dress is from cotton on, my daughter is a teen now but up until she was 8/9 I shopped there for all her clothes and it is sooo familiar with there products.

You mean http://www.missingpersons.gov.au/missing-persons/profiles/profiles/m/c/mcdougall leela - wa ? I guess it depends how big she was. At six my quite tall daughter was still wearing some size 4s.

Yes this is the case! Thank you!

I'm not familiar with girls or girl sizing apart from with myself.... And ladies clothing is vastly different!!!

I have two little boys my two year old is in size 3/4 and three year old in size 4/5, so I just assumed sizing because of age may be off

My 8 year old boy still fits into size 4 shorts ! Depends so much on brand

Suitcase could have been thrown away in water, it would have been very hard to find and also to destroy DNA evidence, this was meant to be found IMO

Why would someone want it found? If they did want it found then why go to the trouble of 'hiding' it on the side of a road when they could have put it in an even more obvious location (the main street of that town etc)?

Not completely sure as can't find my daughters dress but think they came in a 1/2 3/4 5/6 etc. pretty sure hers was a 1/2 and she wore it til she was about 4. It was super stretchy like a leotard.

Sadly.... aged 3 - 5 the child has less chance of being missed.... as the child may never of attended daycare.....kinda..yet.

Thankfully the police have released all they can to the public.... someone must recognise these items ???

That's the thing with different brands sizing and children fitting a wide range of clothes. My son was 5 and still had two pairs of size 1 target shorts

Yup exactly. Brands vary so much. You can't assume clothing sized 3-5 means a child aged 3-5 only. Based only on the kids I know I'd guess a 4 to 6 year old. Maybe a very tall 3 year old or a really small 7. That's if these clothes aren't just a planted red herring.

“We have a victim of, we now believe, three to five years of age, we don’t know the sex of the child and the fact we have female clothes doesn’t mean the child was necessarily a female,” he said

“Police emphasise that while it’s possible that the victim is female, the presence of female clothes should not be taken as confirmation of that, or that the clothes belonged to the child,” Detective Superintendent Bray said today.

Lol... I think your right... Lugging a case that far is too big a feat for anyone, especially an elderly man..

Which makes me think he's driven/been driven to a point, got out with suitcase and walked... Or been dropped just prior to town hitch hiking etc

or the man with the suitcase has nothing to do with this at all.

"That person was about 60 years of age, average height, lightly built and neatly dressed and clean cut," he said.
"We have no description of the clothes he was wearing but he was carrying a dark-coloured suitcase in one hand ... he was not a local.
"There would not be many people walking around Wynarka carrying a suitcase at 7:30am in the morning."

No description of the clothes he was wearing.
The witnesses remember a bit about this bloke walking through town - age - appearance - height - build
He was neatly dressed - it just seems that if you noticed that - then you might recall long pant v's short pants, jumper v's polo shirt.
He made no eye contact - was he wearing glasses? Grey hair - bald.
Who is this mystery man?

or the man with the suitcase has nothing to do with this at all.

What are the chances of a well dressed older man being spotted walking along the hwy in an isolated area with a suitcase.....and then a suitcase being found along the hwy in the same area.....not being connected??

Hitchhikers don't tend to carry suitcases... rather they tend to have backpacks...

I'm trying to understand any logic that this person couldn't be connected... but am coming up with nothing.

Is there some reason why people could see he wouldn't be connected?
