Mr Ardley doesn't talk about the Kimono. He's talking about other clothes. He probably wasn't the only person that police re-interviewed about clothesline thefts.
I very much doubt that many others would of gone to the press, especially the person who lost the Kimono. It's not something you would want to become notorious about. IMO
My Theory
1988 Offender on the prowl in Huntingdale, sees the Kimono on a line and takes it because he likes it and thinks it will fit him.
With his knowledge from prowling the area he knows a young female lives in specific block of units.
He enters the unit and attempts rape but in his excitement prematurely ejaculates as the girl is screaming.
He wipes himself and in his haste to get out, drops the kimono.
Police investigate? The Kimono is bagged, tagged and ends up in evidence archives.
In 1995 a 17 yr old girl is dragged into Karrakatta cemetery and raped.
In 1996 the body of SS is deposited in the swampy bush land of Wellard or thereabouts.
Later that year in June the body of JR is deposited in the same area, by chance, due to unusually tall lilies growing at the spot, she was found in August.
In March 1997 CG disappeared Wellard was not safe now so the body of CG was deposited in bush land north of Perth at Eglington.
I can only surmise here that at some point there is a cold case review of unsolved sex crimes and the Kimono is tested and checked against the DNA data base.
It throws up matching profiles from other crimes but does not identify the perpetrator.
The task force try matching Familial DNA with no success until at some point there is a match leading to the arrest of the alleged perpetrator.

Thats all from Suttons post that I linked for you Spooks. I had it copied so I dont recall what others may have said about it now, but they were pretty clued in sleuths who'd done a lot of research. I'd question the 2008 date for the JR fibers at least as we now believe they were lost until 2011. Then again, theres lots of discrepancies between dates posted in MSM, the official story & what makes logical sense.Spooks said:The last bit about police clues released in 2015 - can I please have weblink? will save me looking
No blocks of units existed in Huntingdale in 1988, if you mean hi-rise.Block of units? I dont remember it being referred to as a block of units before.

Regarding the mystery woman captured in the CCTV. Her feet aren’t visible, but possibly threw her shoes over the balcony, intending to pick them up when she reached the ground.
There were several people who claimed to have seen JR walking along. Any sightings without shoes?
Perhaps JRs drink was spiked with something.
Still not 100% convinced that it is a person / girl in the ice box pic however, I dont have any other explanations for what it could be either. If it is a person, the only reasons I can think of that would cause someone to come over the side instead of down the stairs is...That's interesting as the drink spiking thing seems to ring true with JR and not the other girls to me as this would make it appear she was drunk and staggering (which some people have said they saw a girl that fitted JR description doing this and of course we all dismissed this as not being her because she was fine in the "waiting/watching video"). I still think different methods of capture for different women.
This sheds some light on drink spiking:

"Rohypnol as a brand name for the generic drug flunitrazepam was withdrawn from sale in Australia in 1998" BBM
So it was still available at the time of the murders, and the CSK could have "stocked up" on them to have in his "kit" for future use? JMO

Quote from abovementioned article below:
" Rohypnol
The effects of Rohypnol can be felt within 30 minutes of being drugged and can last for several hours. If you are drugged, you might look and act like someone who is drunk. You might have trouble standing. Your speech might be slurred. Or you might pass out."
No blocks of units existed in Huntingdale in 1988, if you mean hi-rise.
Area surrounding the accused parents house was all Bush through to the backyards of houses on the next street parallel. I think it's called Bullfinch now.
The streets and houses seen on Google Maps in between didn't exist then.
Probably a peeping toms paradise, jumping fences, (if there were any - some of the properties along the eastern end of Bullfinch still don't have any fences).
