To me she seems to be clinging to him in mutual support . . . I don't get that she looks afraid of him.

By the way, did anyone see signs of a wet face? I wouldn't judge someone for not crying, but her facial expressions and the handkerchief seem to indicate tears but I can't actually see any.

Borce claims to have gone on his drive from 10ish to 12pm.
The cctv footage of Merc captured at the diggers crossing is at 11:15am thereabouts .
So he was still heading out to toolern vale then gisborne/Macedon . If body was buried on that trip, he still had the drive to Macedon (30km approx 20 min drive approx), followed by looking for a suitable burial spot, taking her body there, return home direct not via coburg (approx 50km, 40min drive). Coming home via coburg would add an extra 40 minutes at least to the journey.
That's a quick turn around to have completed all that, not even taking into account that he may have wanted to clean the car, dispose of items elsewhere.
If Coburg is of no significance as in not related to stopping off at TAB joints or visiting people, do you think he could have travelled to coburg to use one of the car wash places just off the freeway on bell street coburg.
Wonder if police could tell if Karen's car was squeaky clean on the outside which would indicate a very recent clean .

I'm not believing Borce's story that he was gone from 10ish to 12pm. I'm not believing much of what he says at all, if anything. (Not that he has said very much in his very-quick clammed up silence!) I far more believe this .... which extends the timeline.

Critically Mr Ristevski’s phone was switched off for two hours between 10.30am and 2pm.

Which means, to me, that erratic phone pings (as the phone was off for just about 2 of those 3½ hours) may have been an indicator of his presence on Sydney Road, as Poirot's niece has suggested.

Also, the car wash idea is great. I remember now we had discussed car wash locations a long time ago. Looks like Bell Street intersects Sydney Road. Maybe Sydney Road is the closest phone tower?

I notice that there are also a couple of car wash places on Sydney Road.

Another thought is it may have been to confirm an alibi, maybe a person of interest said they were in Coburg on that day [emoji848]

Remembering the Rusty Duck/Presidential Catering is only a short few Kms from Sydney Road .....

and given his interests/ownership of race horses .....
a TAB would be a place he is well familiar with.

I wonder if the car was professionally detailed in the days before Karen was reported missing as I recall it was described as "squeaky clean". It would be hard to remove all the mud and dust from a dirt road so thoroughly with a regular car wash.
Also I found an old article describing the nature of the argument before Karen went missing as being over "a sum of hundreds of dollars". I don't recall having read anything that specific before but it might give some context to the mysteriously specific $850 cash Karen allegedly had on her when she disappeared.

At 2min 50sec ACA say that an axe and shovel were found at Karen's burial site in Mt Macedon. This is the first time I've heard about an axe. The reporter states he's not sure if it belonged to police or not. I know a shovel was found at BR's home with matching soil, but was there any more evidence regarding the axe and shovel found at Mt Macedon?

Also BR's comment about having his phone bugged being his only comment to the press when his wife has just been found is both telling and upsetting.

Looks like Vasko smokes.
It appears to be a packet in his left hand and now I see the outline of a packet in many photos.

Cigarette butts stay intact and don't readily decompose and some smokers will drop butts wherever they stand, the burnt out restaurant, around Karen's resting place, throughout the bush or especially where they were bogged.

LE just might have his DNA on his brand of cigarette.
It'd be interesting to see if Borce smokes as well.

Perhaps 'an error' but it states BR's phone PINGED THE SAME NIGHT, (not day) in the article.

Do Uber cars have tracking? Do they show the customer how far their ride is away via an app?

Maybe Karen's Merc was the only untraceable option.

Karen's body was layed to rest at Williamstown cemetery .
Karen's aunt said they were planning to lay her to rest near her parents at Bacchus Marsh cemetery according to a channel 7 interview back on feb 22.
Wonder why this wasn't fulfilled. Bossy Borce having his way again, taking control of Karen even after she's gone.
Did Karen's brother approve? Did he have a say?
