FM took those photos because they were drawing pictures to put on their grandfathers grave and so it was obviously an important thing to take a photo of. No doubt there are just as many photos of his sister, yet obviously they aren’t released as her identity is suppressed.

I’d suppose FGM might have a printer otherwise they’d have to find a printer at a neighbour or a shop.

How do you know they weren’t followed up? Genuine question. If those easily addressed questions weren’t posed at the beginning, then LE made even more of a mess of the initial investigation than I thought

MOO.

Imo I think weren’t followed up enough because the current LE team are going over old ground, conducting new searches, named a POI who was previously discounted, which as far as I know still is and they’ve still got pressure on.
If anything comes of this latest investigation this will highlight that previous investigations weren’t done well enough. Or, they didn’t have the information they required back then, which you could also argue are available now because of information they’ve found out recently. To get answers to these we will have to wait to hear what the lying charges were in relation to and what/if they found anything in the recent searches imo.

BBM - CO's book page 31

"They surrendered their phones, computers and cars, for forensic analysis. They each gave detailed accounts of their movements"

Their car was forensically tested, so everything would have/should have been tested.
We don't know for certain if a cadaver dog searched the FF's car though, do we?

I've googled but can't find anything. Were there any transients or people who lived off the grid in the area at the time WT went missing?

Do we need to if it has been forensically tested? I would assume that forensics could test for that.
Well many people believe that William was hit by that car and he died at the scene. Also many think that that vehicle was used to dispose of William's body, so it would be interesting to know if a cadaver dog did in fact search the vehicle.

Would you call FA & TJ transients? Not sure, but they both got around a bit IMO.

The only person in the street that seemed to live 'off the grid' was the neighbour that FGM reported to the Police.

'I can't think of anyone who would want to harm William,' she told police in the statement, dated two days after the boy disappeared.

'I was asked this question initially by Wendy Hudson (a police woman who lives in Kendall) and I suggested Peter across the road, (as he keeps odd hours and lives alone),' the inquest document said.

I don’t think wt was hit by mfc car. I think an accident happened like he either fell off the balcony or fgma or ffc accidentally ran him over in the fgma car that wasn’t searched or tested. Moo

I wonder if PS' friend in the forest (I forget her name) would be described as living off the grid.

Not that I am suggesting that she is a POI. But using her as an example of people who may live off the grid in the area, that we know little or nothing about.

Just taking "SouthAussie" discussion on how quickly children can be abducted further.

I can kind of understand why Jubelin was so interested in the neighbour PS.

He lives in the vicinity.
Has a reason to be walking around - which would not raise anyone's concern.
Goes for regular walks - could be aware of the comings and goings in the area - hearing children - so knowing possibly the earliest arrival - departure of occupants.
Had possibly seen both children at the previous Christmas street party - so may have even interacted with William - so was familiar and non threatening.

For a random abduction - opportunity plays the biggest factor. So PS certainly fits that criteria in my mind. MOO

The other thing that was a red flag was that Jubes thought that PS might have been hyper-vigilant around the time that postie usually delivered to Benaroon Drive (not knowing that she delivered early that day).

So PS might have been watching out for her around the time that William disappeared.

I am not sure if PS has really been ruled out properly, or if the investigators decided they had spent enough time investigating anything he might know and just moved on. I hope that someone listened to all of those hours of secret recordings that had yet to be heard.

In a sign that I'm obsessed with this case, I dreamt last night that WT had wandered off and been found by a woman in her late 50s/early 60's who lived off the grid in a tent in the bush and was raising WT. She wasn't a bad person and was unaware of WT's disappearance and WT was quite happy.

Obviously wishful thinking on my part that he'd be alive and well, but it got me thinking about POI's that might not be even known about because no one knows they were there.

l don’t see how he could’ve ruled out. He still hasn’t accounted for his time and lied on the stand at least once. He said while searching he saw a couple (l can’t recall their names) he said hi and chatted to them. They said they never spoke to him. He said he searched an area behind his property, yet other people who were searching there never saw him. During Jubelin trial he claimed Jubelin threatened him. Yet once the tape was played there was no such thing. The stalking of the postie, then getting an AVO and continuing to stalk her shows he either thinks he’s above the law or delusional.
