Being sober is boring: Charlie Sheen

I don't think it is an act at all. 'Unofficial' word from TAHM set is that CS was 'not right' after New Years. He had lost weight, was flubbing his lines, missing his marks, missing rehearsals etc. It was like his brain was fried.

This is *rumor* from someone who works on the show so take it for what it's worth.

Charlie Sheen sues Warner Bros. for $100 million
Two and a Half Men' producer Chuck Lorre named as co-defendant
http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/42012577/ns/today-entertainment/
The suit also names the show's producer, Chuck Lorre, as a co-defendant and was filed on behalf of the program's cast and crew, according to a copy of the suit posted on celebrity website TMZ.com.

:loser: I loved how the suit says it was filed on behalf of the cast and crew. CS's drug addiction/alcoholism cost the cast and crew their employment. But now Charlie is such a good guy he is filing a lawsuit on their behalf?

New thread (I didn't want to put this under the other Charlie Sheen thread):

Story still developing.

http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20472862,00.html

Charlie Sheen has been attracting a lot of attention lately – including from the cops.

LAPD officials confirm they are on the scene at Sheen's Beverly Hills gated community, but declined to say why.

"I can confirm police are there, but we're not releasing further details at the moment," LAPD spokeswoman Norma Eisenman tells PEOPLE.

What do you think? 5150? Drugs? Threats?

UPDATE: Someone at the house tells us, one of the reasons the cops are there is because Charlie allegedly violated the temporary restraining order Brooke Mueller obtained ... which prohibits Charlie from possessing weapons.

Story developing

(wonder if it was the machete he was weilding the other day). Interesting --

I am wondering if this is a preemptive mental health/welfare call discreetly made by one of the goddesses?

I don't understand how running on a treadmill while doing an interview shows anything at all. I talk on the phone at the gym when I'm on the treadmill and have seen many others do the same.

I was in radio for nearly 2 decades, trust me nobody in their right mind makes a MEDIA appearance while running to the point of breathlessness. A private convo is totally different. Not only does it make him sound stupid but it's disrespectful to the interviewer.

UPDATE 10:18 PM PT -- Sheen just tweeted: "#fastball; the LAPD were AWESOME. Absolute pros! they can protect and serve this Warlock anytime!!! c"

UPDATE 10:22PM PT:
Law enforcement sources tell us LAPD has wrapped up their search. Charlie was not arrested ... and we're told he was very cooperative.

UPDATE 10:42PM PT: Charlie's attorney Mark Gross says police found one rifle -- from the 1800s -- and "some bullets." He says Charlie has no other weapons in the house. Gross also confirmed that police were executing a search warrant because of a phone call, but would not say who placed that call.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... cops raided Charlie Sheen's house after receiving a call earlier today that Charlie threatened to harm himself with a firearm.

Here is what I thought:

"A source close to Sheen told CNN that the actor knew authorities were coming to search his home for firearms. Sheen told the source that he has no weapons there."

http://www.cnn.com/2011/SHOWBIZ/celebrity.news.gossip/03/11/charlie.sheen/index.html?hpt=T2

Any guns were already removed. This was because of the restraining order and CS saying his lawyer wanted to take the bullets out of his gun. All guns are most likely at his lawyer's office or being stored by his lawyer, or someone "official." It happens all the time, even to the not rich and famous.

This was just routine, and CS knew well in advance, hence the hamburger party and pretending to be okay with the police there.

I can well believe some of it was fake b/c he thought it was funny - some of those lines were "too crazy," KWIM?

Still doesn't mean he's not screwed up, as well, though.

I still think he is well aware of what he is saying and doing YET
Charlie was/is his worst enemy. Granted, he has addiction/possibly mental problems or may just be suffering from w/drawal in public. Symptoms can last a long time.

I think by being an attention grabbing --, Sheen has done himself in this time. He finds all the attention amusing but the public only has so much tolerance for his behavior. He will not be forgiven in Hollywood either after making so many enemies.

Sheen is just digging a big hole and when he crawls out, (and he will) he will be sorry for his antics.

His arrogance truly knows no bounds. How exactly does he have standing to file on behalf of the cast and crew? If anything the cast and crew should be suing HIM.

Two and a Half Men Is Better Than None :

Some good advice for CS from Alec Baldwin.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/alec-baldwin/alec-baldwin-charlie-sheen_b_834847.html

Thanks for the link Nancy. Very good article by Alec Baldwin. He speaks the truth about showbiz....it is a very cut throat and money driven business. AB writes as if he thinks the show will continue and so do I.

My source who works on TAHM, is not a big dog, but a 'below the line' crew member. This person says that filming of TAHM will resume next season because once they reach 200 shows, CBS & WB will get a big chunk of money (or bonus) for syndication. ( I think they now have 171 IIRC) Also the crew is not too happy about Carlos' shenanigans. They were also VERY grateful for the 4 episodes for which the studio paid them as they were suddenly displaced and without jobs.
The last episode that was filmed left the door open for the show to continue without CS. I don't wish to say any more than that because I don't want to spoil it for those fans of the show who post here.

The above is considered rumor so take it FWIW! But the above reasons are why I think CS is now in CYA mode.
