I note Mr. Harrod's Myspace page has not been updated to reflect there is now a reward being offered.

Can any of the locals let us know if they see new reward flyers go up in the Placentia area.

Re: The reward of $50,000.
If a new poster is done, we could ask PPD if they would help hand out
the flyers.
Perhaps, GS and his family could help.
Maybe Fontelle could have a large poster on the lawn or in the
front window?
We, WS, could email posters to local businesses in Placentia,
with a letter of explanation.

Other ideas?

I like those ideas. WalMart has a ton of posters for missing kids-I dont know if there is one near by, but I would think WalMart and CVS, and the Three Home Depots and any local Grocery stores would be happy to post them. I might be able to get one of the organizations for the missing to sponsor a sign for the Carnation drive address. Until Fontelle's long past due spousal support is provided to her by the conservators of the Harrod Trust, I would hate to place another financial burden on her.

That would be good to get a missing persons organization involved, in any case.
Perhaps they would have volunteers who could hang out the new posters.

I wanted to bump this because I think it is important. Why didn’t daughter J go with her husband that Monday and “change the linens” and get the house “ready” while her husband did the “home repairs?” It’s not like she had a job she had to be at on Monday, and IIRC she didn’t seem to like going down the hill.

In fact, *the same day that Bob went missing*, in the early afternoon, daughter J posted on a website -- 'I actually cringe if I have to go (down the hill)!' That might confirm that she wasn't working. One wonders why she didn't just call Placentia and say something like: "Hey JM, can you make sure that the housekeeper makes Dad's bed, and make sure the house is ready? If she doesn't make his bed, could you set aside 5 minutes to change his sheets so I don't have to spend three hours doing it tomorrow? I cringe thinking about driving down the hill!"

Let’s look at the post again from Aug 4, 2009. Think about it – her father is missing, she is calling the local hospitals and the coroner’s office (relating to dead bodies), and then she is going to Bob’s house to change the linens? It defies logic no matter how they try to spin it after the fact.

August 4, 2009
My dad lives in Placentia which is no where near Van Nuys, I believe is near LAX he lives between John Wayne Airport and Ontario Airport. I appreciate the lead. I did learn something that when he went missing, before I went dth to get the house ready, linens changed for he and his wife; I started to call all the local hospitals. Then I was directed to call the Coroner's office which I did and they had only 1 John Doe and he was Hispanic. They did however have me e-mail me photos and all his information to them and they would send out a "blast fax" which is a huge distribution list to all the hospitals and other institutions.

bumping this point again.

If one is calling local hospitals, coroners offices and LE for a well being check, WHY would anyone not think Bob may have left to see his wife? Especially given the heated family meeting less than 24 hours earlier? Why not call Fontelle and ask: "We can't find dad, has he flown out to see you? He was upset last night and we are worried about him."

Amidst all those calls no one called Fontelle in the hours the family was supposedly making frantic calls to find Bob. How can you know where your father is NOT, if you don't know where he is? :waitasec:

Most people I know are able to determine if it is late morning, around noon or when mid afternoon is approaching if they aren't sure of the exact time. Yet 16 months after Bob disappeared no one from the family or SIL, the person who was with Bob that day, have come forward to clear up the very obvious inconsistencies.

Where are you Bob?

LOS ANGELES (AP) --

This is fairly close to where Bob went missing.
We'll have to keep an eye as news on these remains progresses.

These are great ideas. Perhaps more media will do stories on Mr. Harrod's disappearance as a result of reward posters being put up!

Where are you Bob?

We also have daughter J, the wife of SIL, giving timeline information the day after her father disappeared. In one day she gives two different times. This is the same day she went DTH to change the linens.

Daughter J states her father disappears around noon or 1 pm.

Reporter:
“J says her husband was with her dad, at his home yesterday. He went to the hardware store alone. When he came back…”

J: “My dad was gone.”

Reporter:
“What time?”

J: “We’re thinking maybe 1, noon?”

July 28, 2009- Daughter J posted on ROTW at 1:50 pm and says that her father has been missing for about 28 hours. That would put the time of Mr. Harrod's disappearance at about 10:00 am on July 27, 2009.

I guess we won't be able to count on help from SIL and daughter J in clearing up the timeline discrepancies. They were not speaking to the press as early as Oct. 2009.

"J and J M's, contacted through RB, would not comment for this story."

Yes, the moving target of a timeline. When someone is dealing with something as momentous as the disappearance of a loved one, you would have to believe you could accurately account for your time and when you last saw him.

Maybe J and SIL dont speak much to one another. Perhaps one or the other is on a need to know basis in the other's lives. I guess it didnt occur to me until now that they may act completely independently of one another. Hmmm...

True. It's just sad to see the victims family not put forth efforts to streamline the inconsistencies in the search for Bob. Not only are the two J's not speaking to the media, I can't recall reading a single plea from any of the daughters directly to dad to please come home in MSM- Especially in this most recent MSM article a few days ago. :(

My heart is a bit heavy for Bob as the holidays approach.
He should be enjoying the new love and new interests in his life.
Now we are left to only imagine the joy he would have experienced.
He deserved to have the love given back to him that he gave to others.

Help us find you Bob. We'll never stop searching.

Has anyone even seen J and SIL or heard from them? Maybe they are separated. Gosh, perhaps even divorced?

The other two sisters are divorced if memory serves....

Perhaps a well being check is in order?
That is, if anyone can remember when they were last seen and what they were wearing.

A little more information on the skeletal remains found Sunday, November 21 in the San Gabriel Mountains near where Bob went missing.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's investigators say the remains were found Sunday on the Mount Lowe Railway Trail in Angeles National Forest.

Investigators also could not say how long the remains had been there however, the remains were probably uncovered in the recent rain.
