And the defence didn't question Oxton on any of the really compelling evidence like the blood in the truck, the DNA, etc.

There was no mention of blood or DNA evidence in the cab of the green truck, so it looks like he drove to the farm with the 3 victims in the back. If they weren't deceased at that time, they must have been heavily restrained or drugged to make the trek to the farm without being detected. If there was a large amount of blood, would any of it have dripped down between the tailgate and box during transit? Pretty risky, given that someone could have pulled up behind the truck at a traffic light.

There was a big roll of blue plastic outside of one of the outbuildings... maybe the inside of the truck was protected with it? Something else? Just thinking out loud

The blood found dripped down the tailgate and behind the licence plate was probably from when he cleaned the truck. The bloody water would have ran down the truck.

RE: Evidence submitted & comments about defense cross-examination. I agree that they are doing a good job. I think that it's important to remind the jury that a significant amount of the evidence that was presented does not make DG guilty of anything and has not been directly linked to DG. From the parents testimony, IIRC, DG & his father purchased LOTS of chemicals and supplies. IOW, not everything was sourced and purchased individually but may have been part of an auction or some other larger, collective, purchase. IMO, the crown needs to establish that DG had enough tools and supplies to commit the crime from start to finish.. that he and he alone had the ability and equipment required to take the three victims from the house to the farm and to dispose of the remains without leaving evidence that may otherwise be expected to have been found.

Can anyone speak to jury instruction in regards to forming opinions or discussing opinions as to the accused's guilt? I think it's important that the evidence be given and considered in totality. I think the crown is using this evidence to support their belief that DG had equipment/supplies that could easily be used to carryout the crime that they will suggest (specifics of how they think it played out).

Is it possible that he probably dressed up as a woman and went to the estate sale and took the fob and perhaps other items with him.? When the original pictures of his truck were released to the media weren't they taken during the day and described as a truck seen in the area numerous times? Maybe I'm misinformed...
