I understand what you're saying I read that too. But I'm pretty sure they're meaning that you don't have to register a touring vehicle because it's to registeredbe already registeted and insured from the country or province that the owners live in. So if you're in BC touring then you don't have to change the registration and insurance for 6 months. But you have to have insurance and registration from your originating location.If you are using the vehicle for touring, you don't have to register it for 6 months, which I assume also means you don't have to get plates for it because you need to register first, get plates second.
Register a vehicle in B.C.
I live in Alberta and have friends and family that live in BC. And you have to have registration and insurance on any vehicle on BC roads. Even in some cities you can't have a parked vehicle in your driveway unless it's registered and insured.
