And the FBI cannot legally or ethically investigate any state police department/officials. That is a job strictly for internal affairs.

I have no idea how one is able to go to FBI with dirt on the police department, bypassing internal affairs. Sure it could be done possibly if just providing a tip that will not be used later in court or documented... then again sure maybe internal affairs is ran by incompetent individuals. Who knows.

And it's late and I've been packing all day and working. Nighty night.

YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. And who does Internal Affairs work for - the police department.

Please don't take my posts personal. I value everyone's opinion. I learn something from everyone's posts.

When you say it is unethical for the FBI to investigate police corruption and say that such investigations should be exclusive to the particular police department's IAB Units, well, I can't let that one go. You suffer from the same affliction all of us suffer from time to time: Naivetés.

I believe the most important function of these types of Blog Boards is to educate others by those who believe they have expertise in certain areas. I believe I am somewhat of an expert in the goings on in the SCPD, and LE, in general.

My BIAS and AGENDA is well known to most posters that visit and post on this Board. I hide nothing from our fellow posters. It is up to read them and decide for yourself if my posts can still be on the mark, despite my bias and agendas.

I went to IAB and spent an hour and 20 minutes with them detailing instances of corruption. 3 years to the day after not hearing from them I wrote a letter to the police commissioner asking for a reply. After 3 years with no answer I did get a reply and it said my allegations were unfounded. The allegations were primarily against the now Chief of Department. He is now being investigated by the FBI.

A few years ago I filed a complaint with the NYS Attorney General. They replied my complaint was sent to SCPD IAB. That was about 2 years ago and I still haven't heard from them. Not even a letter of acknowledgement or a BIG F U.

Do you know see how silly your remark about corruption should be investigated by IAB.

Some years ago a Judge reported a cop to Internal Affairs as being one of two cops that tortured a man into a confession. He dismissed the case and wrote to IAB. IAB did NOTHING with the case. The Chief of Patrol responded: 1. those things happen in those neighborhoods. 2. The police officer is an aggressive cop.

The victim of this tortured confession sued Suffolk and received $85,000.00 for his troubles and for having his teeth knocked out of his mouth with a blackjack.

These same to stellar officers are widely known throughout the legal community as those that bring suspects/targets to open graves in cemeteries for a morning burial and put them in the grave with a gun in their mouth to give a confession, or else. It doesn't matter what they confess to as long as it is a crime.

Just wanted to say HawkShaw, thanks for taking the time to inform all of us of this. It's very important IMHO

:thank you:

Keep in mind this is ONLY my opinion based on what I believe I know about the SCPD and DA office.

Like I have always said, I have a bias and agenda when it comes to these people.

No, it's not a copycat -- the Newport Beach killings themselves are totally unrelated to each other, according to detectives, so there isn't a serial killer there who is copy-catting anyone. One of the detectives notes: "There is no evidence of any kind suggesting that the two cases are related, and significant evidence indicating that they are completely unrelated."

LE arent going to divulge that info to public even if there were ritualistic serial murders of escorts occurring.

Typically they try to keep the media from discovering about any news of a SK or SR.

Once that news gets out, there's no turning back.

I was thinking this info might be more of interest for the Atlantic City cases:

Identified! NJ - Corson’s Inlet State Park, Shoe with Human Foot, Aug'13, Franchesca Alvarado - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

"A Philadelphia family is waiting to find out if DNA, from a severed foot found inside a shoe at the Jersey Shore, is a match for their loved one who has been missing since last year. A fisherman discovered the skeletal remains of a foot inside a size 5 1/2 tennis shoe that had washed ashore back in August at Corson's Inlet State Park in Ocean City. "We're just praying that it doesn't belong to Franchesca, just like anyone who is missing a loved one," said Christine Dior. Dior's sister, Franchesca Alvarado, left her home on her way to Atlantic City in March of 2012 and was never heard from again." Franchesca's family has confirmed on FB that the remains do belong to Franchesca.

I posted this over at the FV thread:

Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community - View Single Post - PA PA - Franchesca Alvarado, 22, Philadelphia / Atlantic City NJ, 17 March 2012

In this facebook photo of Franchesca Alvarado, she is wearing a heart-shaped pendant.

A similar heart-shaped pendant was found with the skeletal remains found Sept 23, 2013 in Ocoee, located in the north/west area of Orlando Florida.

Those remains is believed to be a African American woman in her 20s, who died between four months and a year ago, according to a medical examiner. and in a video clip of police news conference they said that 90% of the skeleton had been recovered, could that mean they still haven't found the feet?
If that is the case, that could fit that the foot of Franchesca Alvarado was found in NJ.

So could the skeltal remains found in Ocoee be the missing remains of Franchesca?

"Police did not identify the victim Thursday, but Fitzpatrick termed the death "suspicious" and said the homicide squad is investigating. Police declined to disclose other details about the woman's death"

"The body was found about 300 feet into the preserve, "just off a path in a wooded area," "

"Fitzpatrick said there is "no reason to believe" the death is connected to any of Suffolk's ongoing homicide investigations."

Time will tell...I hope...
