But prior to the claim that Cindy's email account was hacked, WFTV reported that the FBI was investigating the hairbrush incident and saying that Cindy could face obstruction of justice charges. The email hacking has not yet been reported to police, there is no reason the FBI would be involved in this supposed investigation. WFTV is rapidly losing the little bit of credibility they still had, IMO.
I am not following why the FBI investigating the hairbrush/obstruction issue is a reflection of WFTV's credibility? Did WFTV contact the FBI with that info and not local LE? Or did they simply state that the FBI is investigating it? The hacking issue would be under FBI jurisdiction.
Cindy has stated many times that local LE and her have issues. I wouldn't find it odd at all for local LE to let the feds handle the investigation of the hairbrush issue just to keep things clean and not have anyone say they are out to get the Anthony's. The FBI is involved in this case anyway. I don't think they would come into a case just for that, but they are already deeply involved in this one. They have stayed involved long after it was clear there was no kidnapping.
