I think that whole petition thing is well intentioned, but a bad idea.

If every missing kid under 13 is “endangered,” then the classification means nothing over time.

Everyone pays attention to an Amber Alert, as they are not used all that frequently.

Second to that, is “missing endangered.”

So you’re triggering an automatic response that has the potential to both unnecessarily overwhelm law enforcement, and lessen the psychological impact of of hearing that phrase (people taking it seriously).

In the vast majority of cases, you have kids running away for a short period of time, or more commonly, there is some miscommunication.

So I don’t just think this is a bad idea, but I think if implemented, it could have unintended consequences. It’s a knee jerk, emotional reaction to a tragic situation.

It wouldn’t have saved Gannon anyways.

I’m not saying there aren’t perhaps things that could have been done better here, or that should be changed going forward. But the time for that is when you have all the facts.

We’re nowhere close to that.
I agree.

I think LE knows pretty much everything except they have been unable to find Gannon. They will find him, of this I am certain. I believe there is a concerted determination on the part of LE to find Gannon and to ensure justice for our sweet boy. When a child goes missing, or is hurt, or murdered, do not underestimate the emotion that drives LE. If you think we want the guilty punished, they want it more. They're going to find Gannon.

I think they could arrest the guiltee party right now if they wanted to, however, I believe they want to nail that person to the wall so tightly that there is absolutely NO WIGGLE ROOM. Whenever that arrest happens it will be swift and it will be ironclad.

No deals are going to happen here. Whoever disappeared Gannon is going to pay a severe price for their actions. This might be the first time that manipulation, lies, gaslighting, denial, and distraction have not worked in their favour. We all saw through the chaos and misdirection. We all saw it immediately.

When all is said and done, those that did this, will wish they never crossed paths with Dan May.

Sweet Gannon, my heart breaks for you! You will be found & have justice!

This is what I have saved in my notes. Of course, the link is now updated. I’ll go see if I can find the YouTube.

“Secondly, I'm going to be so ecstatic when I am able to say to people that I hope they have a really sincere apology for all of these theories that have came out online, for all of the things that they say that I have done, or people have done, and I just want everyone to know that we are going to find Gannon, and I love him so much, and I have been taking care of him for so long."

"He was always so helpful with the dogs, " "He was always the person I could say, Gannon, could you go do this, and he would go do it right away."

Sadly, this idealization of him convinces me that he is no more on this plane of existence. It speaks to an idealization of Gannon's swift, perhaps unquestioning, obedience. Past tense is very sad and chilling. "He would go do it" (...be my minion).

Even in death, she has him as compliant and obedient. The only thing that should be making LS "ecstatic" at this point is the return of Gannon (alive), but instead she goes to her own joyous exoneration.. It also implies that Gannon was the 'little man" of the household, when in fact, he was a little boy. I wonder what happened if he didn't do things "right away." I wonder how often he was called upon to do things "right away."

here’s the standard floor plan for this model. I only see a emergency egress window in the basement. The print is teeny, I make out the garage is 18.4 x 19.4 (?). I don’t think the red truck fits fully in it but what model truck did someone say they have?

Thanks for this. Just pondering a punishment or injury in Gannon's room. Sad as that is.

I have seen Casey Anthony’s name thrown in here and there among posts...please enlighten me. If there was clearly evidence that she murdered her child, why did she go free? I am assuming we do not want that to happen to the person that disappeared Gannon. So why did jurors not vote that Casey Anthony was guilty? I have wondered about this for years, but never followed the trial as it was happening etc.

Wait. Wait right there. This line “for all of those things that they say that I have done or people have done”

That right there in bold. That’s an unintentional confession about having an accomplice. Because nobody had thought anything shady about anyone except her.

I am not ready to believe he is not among the living ! Still hopeful!

One wonders... what does that mean, "working out", how? Treadmill? Yoga? Kick-boxing?

I have not seen an exit from the basement that leads directly to the outside of the house... doesn't mean there isn't but I didn't see any in pictures I've seen.

I don't either see basement exit. That heightens my fear a bit, like he was trapped when injured.

I am assuming we do not want that to happen to the person that disappeared Gannon. So why did jurors not vote that Casey Anthony was guilty? I am relatively new to following crime cases.

Many of the jurors stated that the State didn't provide enough solid proof that she did it. Lots of circumstantial evidence, not enough "scientific" evidence, etc.

My fear is there will be a similar outcome if and when an arrest is made in this case if they do find his body due to the length of time that's passed, if there's a body at all. JMO.

They didn't include all possible lesser charges. Simplified example: Murder 1st degree and child neglect - they didn't charge with ALL options, 2nd degree murder, manslaughter (accident) abuse of a corpse.

BBM.

I understand what you are saying. But I'm reminded of that old adage "hard cases make bad law." A one-size fits all law may not be the best solution.
JMO

I agree. While it should not be the case that parents/legal custodians of children can just disappear the kids and no one can hold them accountable unless there's a body...it cannot be the case that we make law based on cases like this one.

For one thing, it goes against research and common sense in criminal studies, and I think we're inching toward other legal solutions. CPS should maybe be doing its own parallel investigation here.
