I wish that we had more of a post/reply stack. I see posts in quoted by other posters replying but struggle to find the original post.

Anyway, thanks @Baby butterfly and the doctor who mentioned Selena Gomez for cluing me in about having Lupus and being in the sun.

@Tippy Lynn , you cracked me up with your post about staying silent.

Do you know how to find the original post?

See the little arrow, right next to the quoted posters name? Click it and you will be taken, like magic, to the original post.

The headline you posted is intentionally misleading. The order I just linked pertains to the headline you posted. The Defense had asked for an order prohibiting the DA from releasing the logs to the public. The Judge went further and denied the release of the logs to the DA. That's a pretty big deal because the PD has previously accused the DA of leaking. It's a win for the P.D. JMO
Yes, I understand what you said. I just wanted to thank you for the link, but also let you know that it was discussed earlier today in case you want to catch up on that discussion.

Well that's a partial victory for him. He will be able to consult with experts without the state knowing who.
Will the Prosecution not know the identity of the expert witnesses until the day these witnesses testify?
I'm just a lay person but the Staircase Killer (Michael Peterson) defense brought in Dr Henry Lee as an expert blood spatter witness. I've watched Dr Henry Lee many times in documentaries and he seemed to be an excellent authority in solving cases with the police. However when he was employed as an expert witness for the Peterson "Staircase Defense", it was obvious he tried to pass off the blood spatter evidence as a slight possibility it was due to a fall. MOO but I was surprised that someone as distinguished as Dr Henry Lee would be an expert for the defense because the blood spatter seemed to indicate blunt force trauma and it was a HUGE stretch for HL to testify it could come from a fall. I hope the prosecution has the very best experts to ensure that justice is served.

Is that just pure speculation?
We've been talking about whether CW wanted the separation or SW and that maybe one was dumping the other.
What if a mistress/gay lover dumped CW after finding out that SW was pregnant and that she and the girls hadn't moved to NC after all since they were now back in CO?
What if it was that rejection that caused CW to flip out? Maybe CW didn't want Nico and thought he'd be single again after SW and the kids moved back to NC but then a mistress told him that she was pregnant.

1. The pattern found on girls necks, would the finger size be traceable to one size hands, a man’s or a woman’s? What we would be talking about are areas of hemorrhage on outside of neck. It would have to be a rather forceful grip to the point where you would create hemorrhage that would contuse the area to the point where maybe you could say that this was created by an adult. That’s about as far as you can go with that. If there is contact with a porous skin they can utilize one particular method to lift prints. Superglue fuming. Heat superglue and glue converts to a gaseous state, and settles on oils in a fingerprint on a body. When it cools you get a print. Sometimes, you can actually see the whole palm print. If girls were in plastic bags, prints would have been preserved.
2. Touch DNA from necks will depend on how much DNA sloughed off killer’s fingers. The dryer the hands, the more DNA is left behind. If C.W. killed girls, then placed SWs hands around girls necks, his DNA might be on the backs of SWs hands.
3. Possible Motives
A. Cheating, lady at work, reportedly men and women.
B. Financial, 2015 bankruptcy, Shanann quit work, Shanann and kids sick all the time, Private preschool, new house, new furniture, life insurance
C. Baby on the way
All add pressure, but Prosecution doesn’t have to prove motive, they just have to prove who did it.
4. Most family annihilators kill during month of August. August because kids are not in school and most likely not to be missed. CW does share similarities with family annihilators. Tend to be people with poor sense of self, unstable identity. Tend to be people with no criminal record and people who by outward appearances seem to be fine. Someone who never felt comfortable as a husband, a father, or as a man. Acted out in selfish way to form a new identity.
5. 60% of family annihilations are done in rage, 30% were spousal revenge, remaining 10% they don’t know cause, don’t ft into a neat profile.
6. Although they occur in rage, they overwhelmingly tend to be planned.
Viewer Questions
1. Was a shovel found? Investigators will look, and also look for trace evidence.
2. Why hasn’t CWs family commented? Do they think SW killed girls? They’ve been tight lipped. But C.W. did confess to his father first.

I've wondered that too. Suddenly 4 kids in the picture, possibly, and an ultimatum causing his head to spin. IMO

We can conjecture until the cows come home but I think it all boils down to he wanted his freedom.

BBM: That's really interesting, I did NOT know that most family annihilators kill in August! Thank you for this info.

Has Scott Peterson or other family annihilators been diagnosed with any psychological disorder? Not that it excuses murder but I would like to know.
I know it's not popular discussing other family annihilators ....but I beg to differ, the more equipped we are with information, the more we can try to understand the unfathomable. Don't lawyers cite other similar cases in the trial?
Could our helpful lawyers help me out? :p

Christian Longo, in 2001, strangled his wife, Mary Jane, and their 2-year-old daughter, Madison, then stuffed them into a suitcase and tossed it off the docks in Newport. He drowned Zachary and Sadie, dropping them off a bridge into Alsea Bay with rocks tied around their ankles.
Longo talks about the trial: "I got up on the stand and essentially blamed my wife for everything. I was still stuck in a phase where I couldn't fathom the thought of me being capable of doing what I was convicted of."
He writes that he eventually began "studying what a psychologist said I was and came to terms with it, almost totally agreeing that he was right ... his conclusion was the narcissistic personality disorder which he called 'compensatory' -- basically self-centeredness related to a damaged core sense of self."

Words of a Killer: Longo writes about family he killed

If the FB delete was a little more than a week before she got back, wasn't that right when he was back there with her and the family? IE week 6 of the vacation? So maybe the FB delete was done together, and didn't relate at all to some theory about his being put out because she posted endearments to him on her own FB page. So, when was it deleted, while he was in NC with her? IMO (asked of anyone on the board, where was he on the date the FB was deleted? There should be a date, when it was deleted, and if he was in NC that day)
SW didn't only post on FB. She posted on Instagram and Twitter.

I’m younger than him, but I’m aware of these things. I’m not sure it’s as dependent on age, as it is overall interest in the subject.

But I agree with you. People of a certain age do generally have more knowledge on a subject like this.
I don't know CW, just what I've gleaned in the last 6 weeks. I don't know you either, but just reading your posts on here you are worlds ahead of that guy in the "brains department"... lol

Well so much has been insinuated on the board about his deleting his own FB because, the theory goes, that he was begging her for a separation and mad cuz she kept posting a postive view of their marriage. So I was wondering when he deleted the FB page, and if he was actually with her in NC, not in CO fuming at her positive posts. IMO

BBM: That's really interesting, I did NOT know that most family annihilators kill in August! Thank you for this info.
It IS interesting. But I think AB might have it a bit wrong....more family annihilators murder their families in August than in any other month (if memory serves, the article I read said 20%)...so it is the most popular month. Just not technically correct to say most occur in August. Sorry to be a dweeb! :)

BBM: That's really interesting, I did NOT know that most family annihilators kill in August! Thank you for this info.

There's also a whole theory/thing about wars and financial crashes happening in August. It really seems like they are saying people are on vacation and not paying close attention. Go ahead and crash the economy, invade a country or disappear your family.

Or a way to shut the PD up, IMO. Any future leaks would be PD or Judge (never).

Was it during when all that Facebook privacy stuff was going on and maybe he deleted because of that?

Respectfully, I disagree with this. He knew without a doubt her body wouldn't fit through either of the holes on the tops of those tanks. He had seen those holes at least a hundred times. He knew exactly how big they were & what would & wouldn't fit through that hole. If it was his thought to do something "later" with her body, IMO the only other thing he could have done, sorry to be graphic, would have been to go back, take her body out of the ground & cut her up so she would fit. IMO I think even he knew that was too risky.

All MOO

I think he would know the size. He was a car mechanic and I think size of stuff is probably second nature.

Why do you think he put her in a shallow grave? Couldn’t he push her off of the side of a mountain or is there nothing like that?
