Suzanne's Wedding Band ?
Anyone here opine that BM disposed of Suzanne's remains without first taking her wedding band from her finger?
Not I.
Barationale :
"After all , I bought it;
She broke the vows;
And it is of value;
...someone will give me something for it!;
Yeah.
So I'm takin' it.
-----------------------------
IIRC, an observation was made awhile back that, ofttimes it proves to be the tiniest of details that trips-up the criminal.
Indeed, details don't get much tinier, (or would be more ironic!), than this mistake re. Suzanne's wedding band.
Thus, trace possession of, or recover the wedding band, and BM, E&N will have a pretty hard tune to dance to.
-----------------------------
Possible "Helps":
IMO, BM would have fenced her ring early on and in the area; not likely pawned because of record-keeping reqmnts; Salida PD is likely to have some book on where to check and with whom to chat, initially anyway;
Simultaneously, obtain detailed description(s) - current, or even original, of the ring's characteristics, to include inscription(s) - from Suzanne's close/intimate friends/family in CO and IN; circulate the foregoing, and couple with offers of significant reward(s) for info/leads/return.
------------------------------
Aside: I opine BM would never have permitted Suzanne to re-size her wedding band. Check-out the photo of BM's left hand. His ring is going nowhere. In character: Good for him; So it's good for her. 'And hey, if you need an MRI, they can put tape over it'. [Uhh... don't believe it works that way, Barr.]
In this regard, JL for one is likely to know if SM's ring could be removed. IMO; trying to be delicate here.
More helps?
