I think MM2’s device being on the list doesn’t necessarily mean BM used it, just that it was paired with his truck at some point?

Of course it was an empty pledge. It was an act, BM attempting to look like a husband who didn't know what happened to his wife without actually putting any $ at risk (since he knew she'd never be safely returned).

He must have been really surprised when that friend matched his offer. I must say that I wish that friend had specified the matched amount was for information leading to SM's return, recovery of her body, or arrest and conviction of the party responsible for her disappearance. That would have put the ball back in BM's court to remove his own condition.

In theory, there really shouldn't have been much of anything. MM1 had her own apartment in Gunnison. She never lived at the Puma Path house. MM2 had been on the road with MM1 for a week so any daily items went with her on the 5th.

The house was released back to them on the 23rd or 24th, I think. So it's unlikely. But a former/current LE member might have a more definite answer.

Would many of us put stock in the notion that BM has undergone a re-boot of his essence since being introduced to his "top-shelf" legal team? I place that adjective in quotes because BM, in terms of his psyche is a 'done-deal'. IMO
As a narc, controlling, manipulative, misogynist, he is thrilled that he's got so many women-of-stature in his orbit: MM x 2, and now tandem counsel. As he's accustomed, he's in charge. And, again, the ATM all four actually. He's so reinforced/validated to this point, he likely cannot recall ever feeling more cocksure!
BUT - and this is where I mean to go - if we are to think that female counsel will be successful in leading Barry into court with assurances that they can deliver a hung jury ...well... I say, au contraire . Barry will not gamble on that likelihood. He wouldn't, even with male counsel.
Ergo, I don't expect to ever see Barry in the dock for Murder1, ever.

BM's relationship with MM1 definitely appears to be quite different from his relationship with MM2. They went on camping trips alone together and apparently he was privy to information regarding her sex life which I will admit weirds me out. That's as much as I'll say about that, but I think MM2 was the child who was close to SM and I think at this point she probably feels like she has to go along with whatever BM and MM1 tell her to do or be left alone in the cold. As upper middle class daughters, I think they were really sheltered and would be easily frightened by the prospect of losing their source of financial support.

The daughters always look so carefree in pictures.
Imagine living what most consider a charmed life and the first real-world adversity is your father charged with mother's murder.
Add to that all eyes on them as they try to cope.
I think the image they've been coached to project when with their father comes natural.
It's what they know and have been doing all their lives...

LE could have retrieved some things for them as well. The only other thing I could think of was plain old curiosity. The daughters could maybe provide LE with collaboration of where and how things were done in the household as well.

Let's discuss that bizarre story BM told to LE about SM mixing chemicals while she was cleaning the shower.
This from google: "Both chloramine and chlorine gases are immediately irritating with a very pungent odor, causing watering of the eyes, runny nose and coughing. ... Close the door to the room and stay out of the area until the smell has dissipated."

Running a google search on "how to neutralize chlorine gas" leads to the following answers by chemists on Quora

1) I’d suggest getting the fumes out of the air by taking advantage of chlorine’s high solubility in water.

2) Dry it up as quickly as you can. Throw a towel on it, dry it up quickly, put the towel in a bag and tie the bag shut or toss it outside until the reaction stops

The great thing about chlorine is that you know very quickly if you have been harmed. It is not one of those substances that give you cancer 20 years later or makes you die of liver or kidney failure in 6 months. If you can just smell it (4–5 ppm) you are likely to get some respiratory effects in about an hour if you stick around. Much higher than this and you will automatically go away. Get fresh air. Tell someone what happened (in case you are not able to later). Changing your clothes (to remove any gas absorbed in them, air them well), having a tepid shower and rinsing your eyes is likely to help. If you feel bad, and particularly if you feel worse, get medical help.

I have often breathed small amounts around swimming pools. Nothing to worry about, but if it stings my eyes, I go away.

Edit edit: BM would undoubtedly have breathing equipment to avoid getting too sick from fumes due to his being a firefighter.

I think their first real world adversity was dealing with a father that was manipulative and controlling. If you were on his side, you were good. If you were just quiet about it, you were good.. but if you pushed back against what he wanted and the image he wanted the world to see, well then you would find out.. maybe it was small at first.. not allowing them to go places or do things, not allowing them to use their vehicle that HE bought for them, etc. This is all my opinion, but I think they saw his controlling side and maybe they don't or didn't realize it for what it was until they saw it through their moms eyes when she started pushing back. I could be wrong... but I don't see him being so controlling over Suzanne to the point he is calling her friend when she doesn't answer the phone, coming home early and sneaking up the driveway, etc and having him NOT being controlling over the girls. I mean he mentioned his older daughters sexual activity status to friends that came over for dinner. I think their behavior now is a result of trauma and that doesn't have to be physical or sexual abuse.. it is likely this slow controlling nature he had with Suzanne and them. You learn to walk on eggshells when you are living with a person like him. He repeatedly left when he was made.. for days and turned his phone off. That is traumatic for kids.

I think it was coming out of his friends and his friends funds so it was never given to any organization to manage or to be part of a Crime Stoppers fund etc.. It was just personal promises. I think most of us think she is deceased so a reward for safe return is effectively moot.

Yeah, we don't know all the dynamics within the Morphew family. I'd say even MM1 and MM2 disagree somewhat in their opinions and experiences regarding their relationship with BM.

By real-world adversity I just meant when what's private becomes public and how it's dealt with outside the home...

I'm curious about Suzanne's RR and whether it has a bike rack, couldn't see one on bodycam footage from MH2 being at PP property. Not saying she had one but would make sense if she did imo. If she did have 1, and it's not on RR, where is it and why isn't it there?
