My parents used to go to Bike Week. All these people may be exposed and when they return home, they are exposing others. Why won't people just be responsible??????

Coronavirus: US adds UK and Ireland to European travel ban

The UK and Ireland are to be added to America's European travel ban over the coronavirus pandemic, government sources have told the Reuters news agency.

It is thought the new restrictions will begin on Monday night.

Some restaurants are still open only for delivery. On the weekend the only grocery’s open are small ones. One will have to wait outside because they limit people. They must follow the one meter rule.

What is going on with schools closing and both parents needing to work. Is there government help for financial reasons? I’m pretty sure in Italy they are paying an amount to help a parent stay home. Obviously a lot are home now anyways. But just wondering.

I mentioned yesterday that two female physical therapists were talking about TP rolls during my therapy session (hip bursitis). One of my alternate therapists mentioned an episode of Seinfeld that has a funny restroom scene. I didn't watch much Seinfeld and didn't see the episode, but this sounds like the episode she described: "Seinfeld" The Stall (TV Episode 1994) - IMDb. I will watch it sometime over the weekend. We can all use a little laughter during this global crisis

Ethical? The time for the US and UK to act was 2 months ago. We are on an inevitable trajectory that can only be changed by social distancing that as individuals we control. STAY HOME, SAVES LIVES....Its my motto. IMO

Everybody just stay home, postpone your vacay or business meeting.

It's a pandemic fer crissakes, this isn't the Dark Ages. Humans have known for eons how to stop disease from spreading.

Yeah, and we're still dragging our feet on other basic, critical decisions. Delays that will make this much worse than need be, for national health, the economy, etc. This isn't rocket science, it's pretty basic common sense.

I hope we still have laws on the books for criminal prosecution of fraud and profiteering in times of natural disasters.

Yes. That is why we need a nationwide lockdown like other countries that are not even worse off than we are to control containment and reduce community spread.

Italy shut down but allowed restaurants and grocery stores open and they still had widespread contamination

Last I hear yesterday? that they have now closed ALL stores nationwide.

Here in the US we barely have anyone social distancing.

I just saw someone on FB who is still going ahead with her daughters 3rd birthday party this weekend and said that she was still going ahead with it. Sigh.

VA closed all schools. I received notice last night thru FB from the city school system, they are providing daily meals at two school sites and will be BUSING kids to the sites.

The county schools will continue to hold practice for sports at the schools.

Neither school system prepare for lessons to be sent home. The city did make a statement Friday, they were preparing lesson plans but needed a two day notice. That was about an hour before the schools closed.

Kids went home Friday with NOTHING in either school system.

Is nobody listening, following the news?

Most people don't even stop and think that the life they risk may not be theirs. It take everyone to ensure the vulnerable ones are safe.

Store based operations will continue as usual. All cashiers and customer service employees will disinfect card readers/phones/UPC scanners/& counters every 2 hours and wear disposable gloves during all interactions. Sanitizer stations will be set up in various locations around all stores. Will continue to monitor developments but may temporarily close direct access to the pharmacy in locations that have a drive thru and may stop stocking loose fresh fruits and produce, only offering prepackaged options.

Home office employees will be encouraged to work remotely when possible.

ETA: was extremely surreal conversing with colleagues from so many nations all over the world who share the same concerns. It really made me realize in a way I didn’t truly appreciate before how global the impact is.

Don't know what area you are in but, the south eastern coastal states do have strict laws for price gouging and resale of product during a state of emergency. These are prosecuted by the State Attorney General and the media are all over it.

I know I said i would get back to you today. You have likely read posts here where Canada has discouraged any travel out of our Country. It was a work email regarding any employee who has travelled outside of Canada must self quarantine for 14 days. Check with your work policy. I am speaking to my own.
