FBI warns of coronavirus-related scams

U.S. Attorney Billy J. Williams for the District of Oregon says scammers have already devised numerous methods for defrauding people in connection with coronavirus.
"They are setting up websites, contacting people by phone and email, and posting disinformation on social media platforms," Williams said in a statement.

- Scammers are offering to sell fake cures, vaccines, and medical advice related to coronavirus
- Scammers are contacting people pretending to be doctors and hospitals that have treated a friend or relative for coronavirus and demanding payment for that treatment.
