Yes the river does move pretty fast, we had some flooding issues earlier this year so it's still pretty high. There was a guy a few years back who would murder ladies of the night and toss them and their body parts in the river, most of them were retrieved. There is a pretty strong current that churns everything up and a lot of debris washes up at some of the river parks. But the bodies were found not too far from where he tossed them in so I don't think stuff stays down for long

Can you walk or drive right up to the river's edge? Are there parks or cleared areas around it? If someone went to the river would there be tracks and maybe muddy shoes or tires? tia

I am not happy to hear this new information. It's making me slip off of the fence. I just wish there was total honesty from the parents, especially the mother. This feels like an arranged circus, where we're getting little bits of info at at time, be sure to tune in for the next bit! I don't like it.

Someone needs to have a Come To Jesus meeting with Debbie ASAP. This charade just has to end. She just needs to lay it all out on the table no matter what the truth is. There is no excuse for letting this continue. Baby Lisa deserves so much better than this!

If she wants to convince people she's innocent, she's not doing a very good job of it. Not at all. I want to keep an open mind, but this new info is just inexcusable to me. Not good, Debbie, not good at all!

Does any one know if DB is an alcoholic, mild drinker? Why did she get drunk that particular night? A reason? A first again?

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting but I've been following since day one. I live about 5 minutes from Lisa's house, and I work about 5 minutes away on the other side.

I work security for a rather large healthcare tech company in KC. We have several buildings around the city. One of them is an old casino right on the river, also right next to where they had the police post the first few days. On Monday before Lisa was reported missing, we also had a dumpster fire that was found around 8pm at this building. The only one still there was a cleaner. I dispatched my officers down there and the fire department came and put out the fire. We narrowed it down to the cleaner going out for a smoke which she does all the time, and tossing her cigarette into the dumpster. It's been really dry here. And there were cans of sterno fuel in the dumpster from catering. I didn't think much of it until the next day when detectives showed up to talk with my officer that is posted at that building during the day, although he was not there for the fire. The detectives then returned the next day.

I only bring this up because there is direct river access from behind our building. Other spots would make it difficult to reach the river in that area, which again is accessible by both major streets that surround the Irwin house, Brighton and Chouteau (also the same street as Festival Foods where the wine was purchased and where the diapers were found in the abandoned house).

I don't think our fire had anything to do with case, but I just wanted to say that the river is very close and you can drive or walk to the edge.

GREAT first post, Lanette!

I've read it through twice, and still need to read through a few more times...lots of info. Just what we like. :)

There is another female with the same name and middle initial as Deborah. You have to check the birth dates. I made a mistake last week r/t this name.

Actually it appears that both of them have criminal/traffic infractions so I suppose DB did have a license at some point.

unless whatever it is, is maybe weighed down with a rock or something heavy. :(

Casenet shows that in 2009 she had failure to register a car and no insurance. She got probabtion for no insurance. She also lived in Independence, MO at one point, some of her family lives there. There is another entry about child support from her current husband. But nothing about not having a license when she was stopped in 2009

The average box o wine is 5 litres, which equals about 6 bottles of wine (750 ML).

Sure does save on hiding bottles in the bin if you might have a drinking problem.

Just saying --

Mel

Speaking of bottles in the bin, I wonder what glass bottles LE were knocking around behind the house in one of their searches last week. I was thinking baby food jars in the recycling bin but now...who knows what they were looking for or found.

I don't think the media person made this up, but we all know that they expound on a statement. That's all I meant. She may have just said I had too much to drink and he took that and ran with it. It worked because we will all be watching tomorrow. Just have to wait and see I guess and the waiting will be awful. jmo

I am very confused as to what do you think the difference is between having too much to drink and being drunk?

BBM

Hold the phone. Did we know about this??????

Yes, learned it last night along with a bunch of other info. Jersey was brought into custody (LE says he has nothing to do with case), a man called LE about an abandoned house with diapers, back pack and mens clothing. LE conducts a search, says diapers have been there a very long time. probably not related. Yada yada yada. Look for the "Abandoned House" thread for more details. (Whew!)

LE said early on that neither parent had any "serious criminal background" but never expounded on that. I've been wondering all along, as ANY criminal background would be interesting in your basic parents, JMO. Will try to find the link but it may not exist anymore, it was in an msnbc.com story.

Here it is, it is the last sentence.

Imagine the questioning by LE the person who she was drinking with her has had to go through.

Maybe her license just expired and she didn't have time to renew it...

I think there was some confusion with another person with the same name on casenet. That person had some insurance issues but I think it was determined that it was not the same DB. With no driving infractions to her name at this point, it's quite possible that DB has never had a license IMO.

Even if she never had a license, it doesn't mean she doesn't know how to drive.

Thanks for this info. I am not so quick to rule out this dumpster fire, but perhaps you have spoken with the cleaner yourself and it is certain that the cleaner threw a lit ciggarette into the dumpster? Or even better, you have this on surveillance footage? I am a smoker myself and never do that, and since you mentioned the cleaner smokes out there as a routine, would it not also be routine to put the smoke out before throwing it in the dumpster?

Debbie's timeline is BS. 8 p.m. is very interesting to me. I hope you can provide more input on this fire. Also, have the surveillance camera footage been reviewed for Monday night? Thank you.

My theory by the way is that Lisa was put in the river. If you can elaborate on where a person would come off N. Brighton and have access to the river bank, that would be great.

Imagine the questioning by LE the person who she was drinking with her has had to go through.

And I wonder why that person hasn't come out swinging in the press defending her friend. :waitasec:

We had a horrible accident in KC about a year ago, the driver had a suspended license.
I only mention it for this reason: just because your license is suspended does not mean you can't drive. It only means that you are in trouble if you are caught.

While I agree with part of what you said, I feel it's wrong for any of us to consider DBs life "immoral." Every human being lives their lives in whatever way they live them. Considering immorality is subjective at best when looking at anyone or any case.

I respectfully disagree.

I'm still old school.

I believe that morals are politically correct, and the lack of morals have a huge impact on crime.

I could have sworn that early on it was stated that either DB's mother or mother-in-law was at her house until 10 or so ? Does anybody remember that ?
