But when you look at Haleigh Cummings case - its almost word for word. There was no real, consistent, drinking or drug use by KC. The Cummings - well that's what got them behind bars for 25 years. Misty being left alone with 2 minor children. First time daddy was working night shift. Here - front door unlocked - Cummings - door propped open with a "bricko block". And I could keep going. We have never found Haleigh. The only difference in the two is that Lisa couldn't have wandered off by herself.

JMHO

I agree, WOO. I said this earlier. This case is all too similar to HC.

I'd like to know where Joe Overstreet is currently--in jail or out?. 600 miles from Antioch, TN to Putnam, FL AND 564 miles from Antioch, TN to KC. Sounds far fetched, but plausible.

I won't fault DB for drinking. On more than a few occasions I have had a few beers when my husband hasn't been around, but normally it's after the kids are in bed. I've also had some drinks watching a football game with my friend while our kids played together. I think it's entirely possible to drink responsibly even with your children present, so I won't fault DB for wanting to relax with a few drinks. I DO find it irresponsible to be DRUNK, especially with no other parent present if that was the case...and the way the parents have handled this with the media and not the LE.

If this is true, I'm sad about this news. I don't believe it to be a good judgement call to drink any amount of an alcoholic beverage around your kids. However, we all have made mistakes as moms, as people... I can't judge. We all fall short of the glory of God. Praying for Lisa.

Thank you. So no footage of what started this fire and no confession from the cleaner = I am still curious about this fire.

I looked on google and am curious if this is the casino and parking lot here:

Respectfully snipped and BBM

Could mom and her brother have gone to the casino? Is that maybe what the 2:30 text "I'm ready when you are" was all about?

Is where I marked in orange where the fire was approximately? Also, the area I have in yellow, do you know roughly how deep that water is, and does it remain relatively calm waters? It looks like a good place to weigh down a body, IMO. Has it been checked to your knowledge? Was there anything suspicious in that dumpster that looked out of the ordinary? Thanks again.

So Monday night there a dumpster fire at this site near Lisa's home. On Monday night or early morning hours of Tuesday Lisa goes missing. And in the early morning hours of Tuesday a dumpster fire is also reported at the apartments just east of Lisa's home?

Do I have this right? :waitasec:

To me his look is that of shame..not that he hurt his daughter but he didnt protect her.

He knew Debra drank alot..and left his children alone with her. This I am sure is not new bbehavior for her.

Is this a supposition or do we have info that Debra had an alcohol problem of some kind (besides possibly getting drunk when she is caring for three young kids)?

I think it's crazy and wrong to get drunk when you're the only one there to care for your kids. And it looks like she planned to "party" that night as she bought boxed wine that afternoon. But it happens all the time with young parents, unfortunately. And it may not be due to an alcohol problem. Instead, it may be due to stupidity, immaturity, lack of parenting skills, etc.

I just don't want to get confused as to what is a possibility and what is a probability based on facts we know. It gets confusing when I've been away from the thread!

Things are just getting messier and messier. Poor little Lisa.

With the revelation tonight, I think Deborah just might have a guilty conscience -- hopefully guilty enough that we'll soon find out where baby Lisa is.

I can only pray!

KANSAS CITY, Missouri - UPDATE: NBC REPORTS BABY LISA'S MOTHER ADMITS SHE WAS DRUNK THE NIGHT THE BABY DISAPPEARED. COVERAGE ON TONIGHT'S NEWS AFTER THE FOOTBALL GAME, AND ON THE "TODAY" SHOW MONDAY MORNING

Any amount? Not a glass of wine with dinner ? I have never heard of such a thing. JMO

In my mind, it's not necessarily the 31 days that's in question, but the preposterous idea that a loving parent would try to cover up the accidental death of their child by claiming it was a kidnapping (as has been recently proposed in these threads over & over).

I think this is the same point Dr. Garavaglia made when she testified that no parent would do such a thing.

I'm seeing that same unbelievable scenario continuously floated in these threads: "maybe the baby died accidentally & ..."

IMO, it wasn't plausible in Caylee's death, and it's not any more plausible now in baby Lisa's disappearance.

At this point, we don't even know if baby Lisa is alive or not. All we know is that she's missing under very questionable circumstances.
It is possible that Deborah is a parent that loved her child, but loves herself more. (Deborah might have been afraid that she would be prosecuted for her child’s accidental death, so instead of accepting blame/prosecution in order to bury her child, she secretly disposed of her child's body.)

DB alledgedly said "I was drunk". Well, that in and of itself doesn't mean much. Just saying "I was drunk" - you need qualifiers. Were you so drunk you couldn't walk? Were you so drunk you were slurring your words? Were you so drunk that you don't remember how you got home? Were you so drunk that you don't remember how many drinks you had?

DB added no qualifiers, so we really don't know what she means by being "drunk". I do think it is highly suspicious that she would come out with that now and even more so - with no added qualifiers. Why would she do that?

And back to the boys - they are young - only 6 and 8 so info would be limited. But would love to know if LE has asked them about how much mommy "drinks her juice box" - is it every day? A lot? Only sometimes? Kids pay attention and that answer would be enlightening.

My aunt was an alcoholic, who always drank alone. :( I don't recall her ever drinking with others or certainly not much. Often hiding the bottles.

Who was with Debbie B. that day after the wine was brought home to drink it with her?
(If anyone knows yet)......

I didn't see the interview today that was mentioned when she admitted to drinking.

Momtective,

Is isn't a casino now - it used to be.

She was with her brother. The interview has not come out yet.. it's going to be on the Today Show tomorrow morning.

Yeah, I've been thinking about Dr. Garavaglia. However, would the doctor's opinion change if criminal conduct was added to the mix that led to an "accident"?

I don't know but I'm really thinking either this was a kidnapping or the mother killed her baby due to abuse or smothering, or something. Not an accident that she just made a whole lot worse.

I can't find one legitimate story of a parent covering up an accident by faking a kidnapping. (Sorry, casey).

I will say that I imbibe in the occasional adult beverage after DS goes to bed. He's a teen and I do not drink alcohol in front of him, nor does DH. But I do like a tottie before bed.

I didn't have DS until I was 32 and my party days were over -- so I can't relate to having kiddies and getting snockered while under my watch. I just don't know what I'd do with myself if something happened.

If something did happen to Lisa, I don't understand why mommy didn't fess up and call 911 or her SO. It's gonna be far far worse now when LE gets to the bottom of it (and I believe they are very close). It now makes sense to me when she reportedly said "I'm getting ready to be arrested". I believe she already knows the reason why she should/could be arrested.

Just my opinion - thanks.

I've been out of town and out touch with this case for a couple days. From your post I see it's still "allegedly" that Debbie said she was drunk on the night in question. Maybe tomorrow will bring some clarity. Thanks WOO.

Detroit's Tigers fizzled. Lions didn't fare well. Ditto, Wolverines. Maybe good things on the horizon for the Red Wings.

And blessings to Two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Dan Wheldon, who died today. DH is a huge Nascar fan and was gutted when one of his favourite drivers died today...right in front of him...on television.

We are soo sad.

Sorry to get OT.

I agree with your sentiment but I do think it's okay to have a glass of wine or two around your kids, especially with food.

My family is from Europe. Everyone drinks with meals. People just don't generally get wasted and act like idiots. (That's mostly tourists at October fest and stuff who do that). There is a such a thing as responsible drinking.

Buying box wine, though, at two in the afternoon and partying all night while hubby works and three little kids need to be cared for, is certainly not responsible.

But I'm with you in that all moms make mistakes and everyone in general falls short of the glory of God. The difference for me is whether a person realizes their mistake and resolves to do better.

There was a Monday 8 p.m. dumpster fire at an old casino - I believe I have it marked correctly below on the bottom right in orange. On Tuesday morning at 2:27 a.m. a dumpster fire was reported at the point I have marked in orange on the left side of map.

We don't know when Lisa went missing.

ETA: The fire on the lower right is slightly lower, next to the river, west of the building just south of where I have circled. That is the parking garage that links to the main building on the river. The dumpster fire was just west of the main building.
