I've been out of town and out touch with this case for a couple days. From your post I see it's still "allegedly" that Debbie said she was drunk on the night in question. Maybe tomorrow will bring some clarity. Thanks WOO.

Here's the link. It's no longer "alleged", but admits.

KANSAS CITY, Missouri - UPDATE: NBC REPORTS BABY LISA'S MOTHER ADMITS SHE WAS DRUNK THE NIGHT THE BABY DISAPPEARED. COVERAGE ON TONIGHT'S NEWS AFTER THE FOOTBALL GAME, AND ON THE "TODAY" SHOW MONDAY MORNING.

My aunt was an alcoholic, who always drank alone. :( I don't recall her ever drinking with others or certainly not much. Often hiding the bottles.

Who was with Debbie B. that day after the wine was brought home to drink it with her?
(If anyone knows yet)......

I didn't see the interview today that was mentioned when she admitted to drinking.

No one has seen the interview unless it was aired in the last few minutes. All of this is based on a posting by some reporter. Some are speculating that it is just a tease because another reporter is airing an interview with the parents tomorrow too. So, it is all rumor and not fact as of yet.

If anyone has seen the interview please post what was aired. tia

Other than the parents, who were the last people to see Lisa? Have we heard yet what time the father went to werk? If I have to go through another case where they don't release the father's work hours, blood is going to squirt from my eyes..

Thanks Mel . Do you think we will get details tonight after the football game, or will we have to wait for the Today Show in the morning?

There was a Monday 8 p.m. dumpster fire at an old casino - I believe I have it marked correctly below on the bottom right in orange. On Tuesday morning at 2:27 a.m. a dumpster fire was reported at the point I have marked in orange on the left side of map.

We don't know when Lisa went missing.

(Editted for a rethink).

Ah...okay, I think I got Lanette's directs wrong. Thanks for mapping. :)

Supposedly the neighbor. I don't know if that's even accurate.

imo

Momtective,

Is isn't a casino now - it used to be.

HTH

Thank you...I had no idea really and never even considered that there were Casino's in the area. I just saw Casino and scenario with the text seemed to fit.

Other than the parents, who were the last people to see Lisa?

This is the part that is unclear to me too. Supposedly a neighbor with her four year old was there? Was the teenage neighbor there? Was the brother there too? :dunno:

It is possible that Deborah is a parent that loved her child, but loves herself more. (Deborah might have been afraid that she would be prosecuted for her child’s accidental death, so instead of accepting blame/prosecution in order to bury her child, she secretly disposed of her child's body.)

I'm willing to have an open mind.

What plausible scenario involving an accidental death could have led to DB (or anyone else) covering it up & secretly disposing of her child's body, & claiming a kidnapping?

Just a teaser on the local news...

Lanetta2 are you saying that the news has had the feature tonight and that it was just a tease. Did they say anything about DB being drunk? tia

I am only on page 9 of this thread, but I have to say this now, and then will continue reading.

Why am I finding it difficult to believe this unsubstantiated "tweet?" Is it because I have not yet heard the words fall from Debbie's own lips, or is it because of all of the distorted "facts" that we have seen from supposedly legitimate mainstream media?

I am going to withhold judgment until I hear from Debbie herself that she was "drunk." For all we know, at this point, she had a glass or two of wine, and the reporter is a teetotaller and interpreted that to mean that she was "drunk."

Tomorrow morning can not come soon enough.

I was kind of amazed how many people were claiming this kind of behavior was normal and not strange that a woman home alone with three little wouldn't check if she locked the door, would leave the window open, or wouldn't hear the baby monitor when her baby was supposedly being kidnapped.

I don't think anyone was really claiming all of it was normal.....

What posters were saying was that they had made the same mistakes such as forgetting to lock a door, or accidentally leaving a window open.

It is normal to tune out a lot of sounds on a baby monitor when the baby is older and a parent is tired. Parents cannot be awake for every single sound a baby makes at that age.

Being drunk is not a wise thing to do when a person is responsible for young children....but it is a mistake that LOTS of parents make. DB isn't the first, and she won't be the last.

I can barely keep my eyes open and will bid you, sadly and sleepily, Adieu! until tomorrow. Sleep well and sweet dreams, dear friends.

I think the "drunk" revelation is part of a defense strategy more than a reflection of reality.

Drunk allows her to claim that she remembers nothing. When the baby is found and charges filed, her drunk admission allows the defense to go for manslaughter -- a drunken accident never to be repeared -- rather than a more serious charge. For all we know the next "revelation" will be that she doesn't even remember getting drunk, and maybe she was drugged by this mysterious ninja home invader...

Only have been here on and off tonight but Whisperer old buddy old pal, get the kleenex ready 'cause the father's work (werk) hours have never been released to my knowledge...yet again.

I agree with your post EllaMae. I make unwanted mistakes all the time. A door unlocked, a window open. It happens. I can't judge a person harshly for things as minor as that. MOO.

Yeah, I've been thinking about Dr. Garavaglia. However, would the doctor's opinion change if criminal conduct was added to the mix that led to an "accident"?

I don't know but I'm really thinking either this was a kidnapping or the mother killed her baby due to abuse or smothering, or something. Not an accident that she just made a whole lot worse.

I can't find one legitimate story of a parent covering up an accident by faking a kidnapping. (Sorry, casey).

I'm hard-pressed to come up with a logical scenario in which a child's accidental death would be made to look like a kidnapping. Accidents happen every day, especially accidents involving children.

You make a good point about criminal conduct. When I hear the word "accident", I tend to think of something that occurred that was no one's fault.

On the other hand, sometimes people do things they wish they hadn't.

Just because something is unintentional does not mean it's not criminal (which I'm sure you're aware).

Wow! I just got in from working 3-11. I was supposed to work 11-7 also, but I got out of it cause I just knew something was gonna break today and it was killing me not to be here to find out!!
I wonder how Peter A. got access to Deb? Why would she disclose this to a reporter and the world before talking to LE with an attorney present? Where is Deb now? Who is advising Deb-Wild BS?
The only thing that makes sense to me now is Jeremy's behavior and body language from the first time I saw them together on TV!!
So many questions!!!:banghead:
