Again, his craft isn't "media relations", it's racing. He wasn't writing a thesis.....he was blogging. Think of Mike Tyson. The guy can't put two words together......but he's a "boxer", not a public speaker.

His vocation was "Competition Director and Company Spokesman". His avocation was racing.

JW's hobby might be racing but he listed his job title at his place of employment as media relations.

seems to me people who embellish their life & their resumes... normally have pretty unsavory characters... often seen in narcissistic personalities. There is an entire litany of strange personality disorders often attributed to this pathological dishonesty. While I am not in my mind certain he realized the SS family would be killed so brutally, my feelings he was complicit in the crime by offering knowledge. Thinking all of the time he would be able to show *hands clean* while later spending the $$ to finance his dreams!! The package of $$ he simply may have thieved a bit by skimming some off or possibly had *earned* out of the package dropoff from parlaying his inside knowledge to the crime ring. My guess there is an entire unsavory thieving ring attached to this entire mess.

Having recently been burglarized myself for thousands in jewelry and electronics, I completely agree with you. And these people seem to have a narcissistic sense of entitlement, helping themselves to others things. Chronic lying is never a good sign. Criminals are never honest and they're usually not just liars. Oftentimes it's to cover up their crimes- like Mark Hacking who lied to his wife about dropping out of medical school, then when she was about to discover it, killed her.
I believe Wallace was somehow involved, but at this time they don't have enough to arrest him, or they are solidifying their case against him. I don't believe his lack of arrest thusfar proves his innocence. I believe there will be more arrests in the future. I don't believe Daron Wint acted alone.

Guess I could have just googled it. It appears FBI can access that info:

"Even though your online crush doesn't know you're watching them, Facebook does. "We receive data about you whenever you interact with Facebook, such as when you look at another person's timeline, send or receive a message, search for a friend or a Page, click on, view, or otherwise interact with things, use a Facebook mobile app, purchase Facebook Credits, or make other purchases through Facebook.... Typically, information associated with your account will be kept until your account is deleted," Facebook writes on its website.

Where is this data kept? On servers stored miles below the earth, in bulletproof vaults, guarded by angry #3b5998-blue cyborg gnomes who hop from leg to leg wielding torches and spears? Actually, Facebook has data centers around the world, and they are fancier than your house.

Of course, the FBI can also access your Facebook records, but this is probably most relevant only if you're engaging in criminal behavior (advice: don't)."

Yes, I personally know someone whose job with the FBI is as a cyber-crimes specialist, and I've gotten to peek inside the mobile van when he had it parked at his house. The inside was all gray carpeting...

Wait, don't stop with the rug. What else was in there?

that the comparison is JW's mdvarsitykarting high school racing teams thing isn't real and is to be compared to snake oil?

Wait, don't stop with the rug. What else was in there?

Mostly computers that were off, I just saw a bunch of monitors embedded in the narrow walls. Wasn't so impressive what I was able to view, but as an active agent, my friend's not going to let me see it in action...

JW could have been arrested for all we know. I don't think he'd be arrested for lying since that was cleared up quickly, but if he admitted knowing anything before this happened? He could be in protective custody if he's to be a witness against DW or anybody else.

I did a vinelink search for DW today, he doesn't show up that I can find. Anything change?

IMO it's as bogus as Dr. Feelgood's weight-loss elixir. "Drink this stuff and you will lose up to ten pounds a week. Call within the next 24 hours and receive two bottles for the low price of $39.95. Our operators are standing by to take your calls."

You must have skipped a page. You can go back to post #267 on p 18 or just read "it" at this link.

I hope the 20th doesn't just give us a request for more time or some other somesuch.

I was thinking it might be an arrest in the case of the bodies found floating in the Tidal basin. Yes, the Capitol City is a wonderful
place.

Isn't it, though? At least they already arrested the guy who stabbed someone to death on a metro train ...

Right. A stabbing a day keeps the police in pay.

Just like his personality allowed him to set up his resume & his ambitions w partial truth embellished w lots of bit lies, so would his involvement in this crime... half way in half way out, just enough to get the prize & dust himself off nice & clean. I always say there is no middle ground w lies, you are either dishonest or not. left or right. one bit lie, brings you to the dishonest side..the end

I can't help but feel that JW is one of those people who mean well but can't control their impulses. He seems to have a lot of energy, ambition, creative vision, and commitment to spreading his passion for the sport. Those are fantastic personal qualities. However the other side of the coin is everything we have seen and discussed -- annoying self-promoter, serial embellisher, braggart, acting without thinking, hungry for recognition, a sense of feeling owed something because he IS so passionate and committed...and I can't help but think when I look at those photos of him on the varsity karting site of how attractive he is. Sorry, I'm a lady who appreciates a pretty face. He seems really charismatic and probably comes across as very warm and endearing. I could see how he may feel entitled to what he thinks is owed to him. Handsome type As are often like that.

His whole life just seems like a wasted opportunity. Like, he could have been a real success were it not for some key character flaws. Unfortunately -- you can't control the deck you're dealt. Who knows if anything in his upbringing caused him to feel so incredibly insecure...or maybe he was just born that way. I feel bad for the guy. Yes, I'm a softie and can feel bad for a pathological liar.

I agree that it's hard to overlook how attractive he is, and he seems from the photos like he's great at making the high school kids feel good about themselves -- some of whom I bet are sort of misfits -- which is a quality that is very easy to like. It also helps that his gf seems to have taken most of the photos of him at the track and other places, and we are seeing him through the camera of a woman who was in love. I feel very sad for him sometimes.
