If you go to the 17:48 mark in the video (about 4 minutes before the "you're acting like a two-year-old" comment), KC is upset about something about her place at the table. She says something to CM and points under the table and the guard comes over and looks under the table too. The camera then pans back to JP, so we don't see what's going on, but it seems like the judge is just waiting for the issue to be resolved. I get the idea that it's a sort of princess and the pea situation that JB gets annoyed with, sparking the "2 year old" exchange.

I remember seeing that and tried to figure out what she was whining about. You can see the guard looking over their shoulders early on, trying to see what she was going on about too. I was wondering if it was cords of some kind to charge the laptops or something like that. Whatever it was, it paled in significance to the Capital Murder case that she was ignoring as it played out around her.

Oh I agree with you on this. As much as I dislike JB,think he's arrogant, ill equipped for this trial, cocky and any other thing you can think of,I really feel sorry for him at this moment. Here he is trying his little heart out to do the best he can for her,and this is the thanks he gets.ICA throwing hissy fits in court ? However,I don't think he's seen the full wrath of ICA YET. When this trial is over (or before) she is going to throw him under the bus,and even if it turns out to be unfounded, the stigma may stick. JB people told you what ICA and her family were but you did not want to listen. Hope you got steady nerves, cause you are going to need them in the next few weeks. JMHO:twocents:

Yes, I predict that one of the first things she will do after she is convicted is sue JB for malpractice - and I wouldn't be surprised if our RH is representing her by then.....

For what it's worth...here's what I heard JB say: "You're acting like a CHILD."

I watched it with speakers up and fully expecting his mouth to match with what I had read ("you're acting like a 2-year old")...but IMO/interpretation... he def said CHILD.

Just wish we could have heard what she was saying at the moment the camera switched from HJBP to the DT table.

@ about 19:27 ICA gets on the laptop and turns to someone not on camera(Baez?) and points to the laptop screen and I swear she mouths "Which one? Is that my mom's?" Is CA IM'ing her during court??

For those fascinated by the interplay between ICA and Baez (I know I am) I've come across another section that bears watching again. The reason I'm so interested in this is because
1. I think the relationship between ICA and Baez is deteriorating
2. ICA is not a client the defense is able to control for the length of the trial
3. ICA seems to be using the classic "divide and conquer" technique on her attorneys all for reasons which seem unfathomable but I can only surmise that this is ICA at her game playing best
4. I honestly believe that ICA believes that something special is going on between her and Baez
5. This will come back later to haunt Baez when/if he is accused of improper conduct with his client by his client.
6. I think Baez is fully aware that this scenario is coming and could by why his visits to ICA have dwindled down to virtually nothing, I don't think he visits her alone anymore either.

Okay, so we have seen yesterdays spat and then the carry on this morning, ICA was obviously unhappy with her seating arrangements and treatment by Baez, she complained to Mason and Finnell about Baez, Mason went to talk to Baez to smooth over troubled waters so then Baez approached ICA and ICA's response to Baez caused Sims to immediately tell ICA to stop what ever she was saying. The Judge entered the courtroom thus putting an end, for now, to what was happening.

Later in the day when the new jury pool was to be brought in everyone gets up to move their seats to the opposite side of the table. This is what I see next starting at the 2.49 mark:

1. ICA gets up to move her things, Finnell kind of interrupts and motions to Mason and Baez for ICA to sit up with them, Baez must put the kibosh on it and Mason just shrugs his shoulders, you can see ICA motioning to Mason to move down but he won't
2. Eventually Finnell comes back and tells her to sit next to her which she does but she looks very unhappy
3. As the Judge is asking if the state is ready and if the defense is ready, ICA shoots Baez a look that is so sad and forlorn it's quite startling. The look is at mark 4.18.

ICA is so unhappy by what I can only imagine is her feeling that Baez is ignoring her - she's so upset and she looks ready to cry and not because the charges are going to be read out again to another jury pool but by what is happening between her and Baez. Luckily for her, her attention is diverted by the dismissal of the jury pool.

How long before the relationship between Baez and ICA disintegrates entirely?

My guess is not long and this is due partly to them spending so much time together recently and ICA inability to understand where she is and why she is there.

Just watched it and you are spot on. Her brows and forehead are furrowed and she is on the verge of tears. Not to make light of your very enlightening post, but JB better watch it. Remember Fatal Attraction?

Youre reading my mind. In the years JB has defended this unusual person- Fatal Attraction never occurred to me-but for some reason- Ive been getting these vibes as of yesterday. I think Jose is, too. IMO, his face is redder-- and he appears to be more detached to her than usual.

OMGosh...I so miss the members/former members who use to make us laugh with their parody of the characters in this case. We had entire threads filled with sheer hilarity. I wish we could have them back.

I went back and looked at this again, and you're right.....it's obvious there's something going on between KC and JB. I noticed that after KC's forlorn look at 4:18, she continues to glance over to JB several times with a very sad face. She's clearly upset.

Yes she keeps giving him these forlorn little looks until he goes over and says something to her.

I think this display by ICA over the last 2 days just goes to underscore the psychopathy within her. I don't see how it is at all possible to overcome her innate inability to control her emotions over the course of a 2 month trial unless they load her up on meds. I really don't see how the defense team are going to manage this.

Can you imagine having a client like this behaving in this manner when they are in the fight for their very life? It times like this that make me wonder is she in fact mentally incompetent and should she be standing trial at all?

But it's not a fight for her life for Casey. She doesn't fight for anything. Everyone else around her fights for her. She just wants attention. Look what's happening to me, feel sorry for me, etc. She just wants all the attention on her, and gets mad when it's not. And apparently she knows what faces to make to get attention from Baez. She is acting like a child, a spoiled rotten, selfish child. She's not mentally incompetent, she's just entirely selfish and wants it all to be about me, me, meeeeeeeeeee!

Oh I know, I can't wrap my head around her antics and can only believe that she is mentally unhinged.

Well, been readin and thinkin. She does have a thang for him but if he hadn't been so greedy to be famous then he wouldn't be in this mess. At one point he decided he better git it together (I think if was when HHJP came aboard) and JB had to quit pussyfootin around and do his job. Am sur CM has given him some "wisdom". JB is a babe in the woods.

ICA should have been reined in early on. JB laid the ground work and this is where screwed up. He realizes it is a big plate full of doodoo he dun jumped in but he seems to be tryin to be more serious now---he cant expect ICA to change the way she is---she needs to be lead gently into this---mold her.

She acts the way she is guided---he should have stopped all that playin around e-time they were in the court room----now he has just left her hangin by a thread and she dont know how to act---he has confused her. Somebody better start guiding her fast or we will see some nasty stuff durin this trial. It might be to late. She doesn't know how to act.

Guess I am talkin in circles.

The thread about the inmate dude that wrote a letter to Judge Strickland in regards to defending KC's virtues. I think his name was James, and the thread is SO buried now, but that was the funniest.thread.ever.

This whole scene is not about anything she will ultimately dump JB for, this is about, as another poster noted, "daddy" JB not giving poor KC attention when she needed it. He did something, she gave him some sass and he was put off. It does show that she feels intimate with him on a level, that she can manipulate him with the sassy/silent treatment because he'll care.

She doesn't want him gone, she wants him to fight harder for her as some sort of validation.

She'll get over the spat cause she likes JB in some weird daddy-complex way and she's an immature brat. Nuttin much to it to me but it's a lot to a juror that doesn't know them-though apparently they're fewer and further between than Pinellas & Orange.

IMO, JB somehow has had control over ICA for 3 years now, how he did it is everybodys guess.Maybe hidding a lot of facts from her and now she is finding out things while in court? I think he will somehow keep her under control during the trial. She may get mad but she will keep letting him drive her bus.

This is the forlorn look I mentioned earlier - this is when the next jury pool was already in the room and some people were thinking she was getting upset because the charges were about to be read out.

No Way! ICA was upset because Baez would not let her sit next to him when the swapped to the other side of the desk.

She seems to get along better with jb & cm than the women folk....jmo...there is a diffence between them---She is much more animated with the boys then the girls.--- half the time it appears that sims doesn't much care to chit chat with her---AF---she is there but shes not--CM seems to be the one to comfort these days.....the others not so much...
