I was crying as I listened to the live court hearing plus reading and posting the tweets. EC was a sick twisted animal for doing what he did to Lisa and the children. IMO

No way should the judge find find him insane while committing the crimes. EC stated exactly what he remembered doing that fateful day, which fit the evidence. imo

I am not sure if the DP is even good enough for EC. imo

The way I understand it, the judge will hear the aggravating and the mitigating circumstance's, or any witness's that can corroborate those just like a jury would. Then the judge makes the decision. I have seen this done in other cases where the defendant pleads before trial.

A man on trial for killing his girlfriend and her two children could learn his fate Monday in court.

A sentencing hearing is scheduled for Edward Covington, and it comes after he fired his attorneys and told the judge he wanted to represent himself.

No jury will be present at the hearing. Instead, a judge is expected to make the decision on Covington's future.
