"Tracks and footprints led investigators to believe Rowe and Dubose took the truck, Sills said.

Sills said the two men may be in the truck, but he did not rule out they may have split up."

Suspects in Georgia officers' deaths stole 2nd vehicle, police say

I'm thinking during transport the prisoners are shackled from wrists to a belt and down at the waist --and maybe to the floor via a metal ring or secure device ?
So they maybe had a tool smuggled in to them ?
Hope this isn't another case like the escape of prisoners Matt and Sweat.
However this happened -- guards were murdered and possibly more innocents could lose their lives.

Yes, I read somewhere they were also able to get out of their cuffs at the scene.

"The armed convicts are also believed to have gotten their hands on some cash.

We assumed they've acquired some money, some way," Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills said Wednesday."

(I'm sure these headlines will soon be edited from statewide manhunt to "nationwide manhunt".)

Another photo of the truck at his link if someone can please post, thank you!

"Monica was with the Corrections Department for nearly eight years, while Billue was a 10-year veteran of the department, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported.

Monica was picking up extra shifts to support his wife, who hasn’t been able to work because of declining health, according to a ******** page set up to support his wife, two daughters and grandchildren.

“He prayed daily for these criminals and sadly he ended up dying at the hands of two yesterday,” the page reads."

"How the two inmates managed to reach and overpower the guards remains under investigation, Sills said.

"They were inside the caged area of the bus," he said. "How they got through the locks and things up to that area I do not know."

Protocol is to have two armed corrections officers on the bus, but the officers don't wear bullet-proof vests during transfers, Corrections Commissioner Greg Dozier said."

(I'm sure the no bulletproof vests will change after this, moo. Hopefully...)

"4. Dubose Makes Numerous References to a Woman Named Jamie on Facebook

"Dubose maintained three Facebook pages. On*one,*where the last update was in January 2013 and Dubose was apparently about to get out of prison, he made numerous references to a woman named Jamie. He wrote, “I got Jamie on my mind, I love you and I’m a be home soon.” Just a couple of days later, Dubose said, “Sick of your games Jamie, it’s over.”

Meanwhile on another*page,*a female frequently posts jokingly on Dubose’s Facebook page. That couple have a baby together. The*page*with the most recent update shows a photo of Dubose from October 2015.

WSAV reported in April 2017 that the Ghostface Gangsters “are really coming on strong. They are all about profit.” The piece adds that the Ghostface Gangsters also go by 767’s."

(*there's also another image fb post if someone wants to post it.)
