if you read some of the reviews of the apartments it seems that there are holes in the fence (it is supposed to be a gated community)

Gated community only means that the drive and walk through gates are "gated" - many have wooden fences at some point around the community. Many have rod iron unless they back up to another community or residential area.

I would really like to hear from some of the tenants in the complex. It sounds like several of them tipped of LE to this guy and I think I read a quote from one who said that they "knew he did it." He seems so normal, I wonder what kind of behavior led so many people to suspect him.

BBM - I had this thought also. It occurred to me that it didn't even necessarily have to be ongoing abuse, this could have been the first time. Maybe he brought her into the apartment to abuse her and when she told him she was going to tell he lost it. This guy is so sick.
