I hope Child Protective Services is involved for the benefit of Q's siblings.

The WSAV report on the timeline suggests that grandma wanted her daughter and the three kids out of the house. Was this an error on the reporter's part, or was this accurate? Doesn't the grandmother have legal custody of the two boys? The reporter does tend to frequently paraphrase some of the quotes shown on the screen.

Nevertheless this is a quite problematic environment for small kids.

In my opinion things were very bad for Quinton and his siblings long before he was reported missing. I suspect that something bad happened not long after he was returned to his home by the babysitter the night before.

I want to know when every adult left that home from 9:30 pm Tuesday until the police were finally called on Wednesday morning. That includes the step grandfather, LS brother and the boyfriend. I’m not accusing any of them of doing anything. I’m just saying that every possibility must be thoroughly checked out.

I would also be interested to know if there were any visitors to the home during the night. Maybe someone delivering something? If anything was delivered, how was it paid for? MOO

If grandma has custody of the boys, that explains why there is a babysitter. If she didn't trust mom's care during the days, she would have them go elsewhere to a sitter while she (grandma) was working or busy.

As someone previously mentioned, this case is eerily like Mariah Woods, 2018 disappearance (later found) in Jacksonville NC. Hoping the outcome is better in this case.

That is a great point by @Rivkah11 and by posters previously, and in the Mariah Woods case, Jacksonville NC PD and FBI got help from the Marine Corps (Backlog pushes Earl Kimrey trial to fall, 16 murder cases pending in Onslow County), and Mariah’s body was found substantially concealed on the side of a creek at Day 5.

Bringing that forward to here: Parris Island and Ft. Beaufort are less than an hour north of this location. There are thousands of vetted, strong personnel undergoing or post-basic training within a reasonable bus ride. I hope LE considers making an ask of the Marine Corps to have buses sent down to scour the surrounding property and focus in particular on any bodies of water. It’s also time to take the inside of this house down to the studs, take apart couches, empty garages, check crawl spaces. Where the Chatham County PD is most helpful is on the roads surrounding and along the route the BF took to work. Every dumpster, every waste disposal company, talking with every friend … where they have the contacts and local knowledge to realize quickly if anything is off. I hope it goes this way.

Could be that the playpen is one of those Graco Pack N Plays. Some people use them as cribs. When my son was a baby, we usually took one with us if we were traveling overnight and used it as a crib in AirBnBs, etc.

I agree it was very likely one of those and I am not sure a toddler could get out alone without maybe turning themselves falling over the top.

It was an error. Grandma was trying to evict the mum and her bf. Not the children.

I wonder if he had a car to drive to work or if he got a ride or took a bus, etc?

Reason being, it is also said that Q's mom was possibly driving a car that morning after her bf went to work. It is hard for me to believe they had 2 cars between them, but maybe they did.

I’m of the opinion that Quinton was not in a playpen at all, the morning he was reported missing. MOO
