A HORRIBLE DISCOVERY IN THE SEARCH FOR INGA - WHO REMAINS MISSING

Bild.de

During the investigation of a childporn ring, LKA-investigators in Berlin hit on Martin H. (35). When they searched the man's home, the officials immediately realized that they were not dealing with one of the usual child *advertiser censored* consumers.

"In the apartment we found sex dolls made of silicone, that were modeled after five- and six-year-old girls," the police said. "In addition: tools for constraining and gagging, *advertiser censored*. Material that suggested that the owner is obsessed with the idea of kidnapping little girls "

The alarm bells ring even louder when the investigators find out that the suspect comes from Stendal, not far from Wilhelmshof, where Inga had disappeared. He also owns a dilapidated farmhouse near Bitterfeld ...

In the middle of the night - in the light of bright headlights - the Berlin investigators storm the man's property, search the house. Among them also officials of the former SOKO "Inga" - they hope to find clues about the girl. "None of us had ever seen such a thing before," a detective recounts.

"The house windows were mere mockups. Behind them, he had walled up everything, he had thick, soundproof doors." They also find materials for constraining and toys for girls. "In the hiding place there was a mattress and a provisional toilet. Apparently all was prepared to kidnap children," according to a deployed officer.

But there was no trace of Inga.

Beatrix Mertens from the police Magdeburg to BILD: "Our colleagues from the SOKO-Inga were in close contact with the Berlin officials. Unfortunately, the mission has not solved our most important missing case."

But the investigators are convinced of one thing: the arrest of Martin H. (35) has saved another child from a terrible fate.

Any news about this case?

No news. There were some updates in May, at the second anniversary of Inga's disappearance. I'll post some of it later.

"I haven't found anything that would suggest a good outcome, however much I'd wish for it," says Jens-Uwe Gehricke, the father. "I still have the hope that she will be found. But the hope that she will come back alive is near zero for me."

Thanks in advance for posting updates, ZaZara. I was wondering about Inga the other day and couldn't remember her name. If she was abducted by the man in the previous post, it reminds me of the case going on in Washington state right now...three brothers obsessed with child *advertiser censored* who may have abducted and killed young girls. I hope that wasn't Inga's fate. :(

POLICE GIVE UP ON LITTLE INGA

3,w=993,q=high,c=0.bild.jpg

Bild.de (April 24, 2017)
http://www.bild.de/news/inland/krim...-51472174.bild.html#remId=1548173493256267922

All of Germany knows the picture of the blonde girl with the sweet tooth gap: Two years ago, on 2 May 2015, little Inga (5) disappeared from the Wilhelmshof in Stendal (Saxony-Anhalt).

Now the police have given up the search for the girl - and for the first time her parents speak out. Their hope: that because of the interview someone will come forward with new information about the case.

Inga's mother Victoria Gehricke says to "Stern":"My heart tells me that she's still alive." But the public prosecutor's office in Stendal has no leads that they might follow.

40 investigators pursued a total of 2000 leads. Inga is said to have been seen in Norway, England, New York and Switzerland, and every tip was checked by the police - without result.

But Inga's mother does not want to give up hope. If her daughter was dead, she'd feel it, she said in the "Stern" interview: "I've always had such a strong connection with her."

To this day, Victoria Gehricke remembers every minute of that fateful day. Together with her husband Jens-Uwe, Inga (5) and her siblings Maxim (15), Julius (13) and Freya (8), the family visited the Wilhelmshof. The Diakonie facility is home to addicts and mentally ill people.

Even when Inga had not yet disappeared, mother Victoria had a nasty feeling - when she was standing in the kitchen preparing a barbecue and Inga was playing outside:"I tried not to drive myself mad, but still it went so far that I thought: "You're buttering bread rolls while something might happen to your child."

At 6.30 pm Father Jens-Uwe saw his daughter for the last time. "Inga hauled off with two 1.5-litre water bottles. She wanted to help with the preparations."

She put the bottles down at the barbecue, walked back to the house - and suddenly disappeared. The path led between trees. The father: "It was only 100 meters to the house. But she never got there."

To this day, there is no trace of her. Father Jens-Uwe in the interview: "I still have this mistrust in the Wilhelmshof and its inhabitants to this day. This feeling that something is off there has never left me."

The family broke up because of the blow of fate, the parents have separated. The thoughts about Inga never leave either of them.

Victoria Gehricke:"We have to hope that where she is, she's doing reasonably well" her children Freya and Julius believe "that Inga is living in a family again".

Will she ever be found? The Public Prosecutor's Office insists: "If there are new clues, the investigation will be resumed immediately.

BBM

The story up till now was that Inga might have gone into the woods with other children to collect twigs and branches for the campfire. Apparently the father did not see her do that, in his perception Inga would be on her way to the house. Wouldn't he have noticed the other children at that short distance?

If the mother sensed evil in some way - and did not make that up afterwards - whoever took Inga may have been connected either to the party or to the grounds.
"Hey Inga, will you help me carry the lemonade from the car...."

THREE YEARS AFTER SHE DISAPPEARED, THERE IS STILL NO TRACE OF LITTLE INGA

Where's little Inga from Stendal? Even today (May 2), exactly three years after the disappearance of the then five-year-old girl with the blond pigtails and the tooth gap, the investigators have countless questions about the whereabouts of the child. After Inga disappeared in a forest in Saxony-Anhalt while looking for wood, the police investigators started a feverish search for the little girl - so far without success.

The search for clues continues three years after Inga's disappearance. According to "Bild" on the sad anniversary of the case of this missing girl, 2125 clues have been received by the police so far, but a hot lead has not yet been found. It is still unclear whether little Inga fell victim to a crime, was kidnapped or whether it was an accident. For Inga's parents, the three years in which there was no sign of life from their little daughter must have been an unimaginable torment that just won't end.

Police spokesman Marc Becher of the Police Headquarters Saxony-Anhalt North stated that every single tip that was received by the investigators in the Inga case over the months and years had been followed up. Even today, isolated tips would still reach the police, Becher said. The "Inga" investigation has not yet been filed, even if the special investigators in charge of the case have since been withdrawn, according to "Bild". Three years after Inga's disappearance, the police of Saxony-Anhalt North continues to provide information about the missing girl on a dedicated website. In addition, the investigators can be contacted by telephone on 039 31 - 685 291 or 110.

The "Inga" case presents the police in Saxony-Anhalt with unusual facts. Although the searches for Inga from Stendal started immediately after the disappearance of the child with a large squad of 1,000 rescue workers with helicopters and sniffer dogs and every stone was turned over in the forest area, in which Inga was last staying, the decisive trace remains missing. The missing child seemed to have been swallowed by the earth.

However, Inga's parents do not want to give up hope of seeing their little daughter alive again. In May 2017, two years after the girl disappeared, Inga's mother spoke out in an interview with the "Stern" and said that she had the feeling that her daughter was still alive. However, both the police and Inga's father see the situation as much gloomier - and assume that the little girl could have died as the victim of a crime.

They said that a man took Inga. The sighting was in Berlin. As the witness said inga was dragged and didn't want to leave.

Please can you confirm who stated this?

Found the real story with the details. Both the man and the child were located, but they had nothing to do with Inga:

Berliner Kurier
https://www.berliner-kurier.de/berl...tmann-gilt-als-der-beste-seines-fach-29776398

The eyewitness is certain: The girl she saw in Berlin's S-Bahn was Inga. A man was with her, a striking man: red, oriental headgear, white linen shirt, barefoot.

Five-year-old Inga G. from Schönebeck (Saxony-Anhalt) disappeared on 2 May 2015 on an excursion with her parents and her three siblings. The family was at a party on the grounds of a deaconry institution in Wilhelmshof near Stendal. Inga went to the forest with other children in the early evening to collect wood for a campfire - and did not return.

The eyewitness, who claims to have seen Inga in Berlin, comes from Aalen near Stuttgart. Back in her hometown, she went to the police.

Rainer Wortmann used the witness to create a sketch of the man. The 50-year-old is considered the best in his field: he trains colleagues from all over Germany, even authorities from other European countries request his assistance.

(...)

"I find it very fulfilling to contribute to this," says Wortmann, "that criminals can be taken off the streets and cause no more damage." The success rate of him and his colleagues is almost 50 percent.

The sketch in the case of five-year-old Inga did not lead to the perpetrator, but to a grandfather who was travelling with his grandchild. It wasn't a failure, though. The suspect could be excluded as the perpetrator; this saved the investigators unnecessary work. There is still no trace of Inga.

What is your theory @ZaZara?

If it had been an accident, Inga would have been found IMHO.

I'm with Daddy:

"I still have this mistrust in the Wilhelmshof and its inhabitants to this day. This feeling that something is off there has never left me."

Needn't have been the inhabitants per se, but possibly someone who was hanging around while they should not have been there. But the Wilhelmshof allowed them or they simply weren't paying attention.

Missing since nine years: Georgine Krüger from Berlin

A girl has gone missing from Berlin since nine years already: Georgine Krüger. Hundreds of policemen combed through Moabit in early autumn 2006 in search of her. She was seen for the last time on 25 September 2006, when she got off the bus from Line M27 around 13.50 clock on the Perleberger Straße / corner Rathenower Straße. It was only 200 meters to her home. But Georgine never arrived there.

In the evening her mother informed the police. Thereupon the police searched 240 apartments, cellars and attics, backyards and even garbage cans. Neighbors and business people, teachers and fellow students were interviewed. Even the bus driver of the line M27, with whom Georgine rode daily from her school to the stop at the Perlebergerstraße, was questioned by the officials. One thing is certain: Shortly before 14.00 hrs clock she phoned with a [girl] friend, then her mobile phone was switched off - and never activated again. The investigation into the case of Georgine is ongoing and will now be rolled out accordingly in connection with Silvio S., especially because the spot of her disappearance is very close to the Turmstraße, from where Mohamed was abducted.

The German Police have arrested a man in relation to the disappearance and murder of Georgine Krüger 12 years after she went missing. The man, Ali K., was a neighbour of Georgine. Her body has not yet been found.

Missing student Georgine Krüger - police arrest suspect

Twelve years ago, 14-year-old Georgine Krüger disappeared. Over the years, the police received hundreds of tips. Now the sensationial breakthrough..

Twelve years after the disappearance without a trace of the Berlin student Georgine Krüger, the police arrested a man on suspicion of murder. This was announced by the Berlin public prosecutor's office on Tuesday.

The 43-year-old is said to have killed the then 14-year-old Georgine on 25 September 2006. On that day, the girl had been seen for the last time when she got off a bus in Berlin-Moabit. The girl's body had not yet been found, they said.

Not the first crime of the suspect?

The public prosecutor's office stated: "There is an urgent suspicion that the man Georgine Krüger intercepted Moabit in his basement in Berlin and killed her there for sexual motives on her way home from school."

The accused was convicted of sexual assault on a young person by the Tiergarten District Court in 2012. He had lured a girl into the basement of his apartment for sexual motives.

In October, a special issue of the television magazine "Aktenzeichen XY...ungelöst" had dealt with the case. Thereupon, the police received further information.

Previously, the Berlin police had searched for a man who gave alleged clues on the phone. The police published two recordings of the man's phone calls and asked: "Who recognizes the voice of the unknown whistleblower?

The man had said he knew where the body was buried. The police searched in spring in the woods in Brieselang in Havelland, west of Berlin. Despite the use of sniffer dogs and a drone, nothing was found.

Meanwhile, in the south of Germany, 3 cases involving missing / murdered children have been reopened.
In Thuringia, a 15-member special commission is investigating whether Uwe Böhnhardt is responsible for the unexplained murders of Stephanie Drews († 10) 1991 in Weimar, Bernd Beckmann († 9) 1993 and Ramona Kraus († 10) 1996 in Jena .

Nach DNA-Spur zum NSU weitere Kinder-Morde im Fokus - Soko Peggy deutlich aufgestockt

The murder of Stephanie Drews has been solved.

Lkw-Fahrer hat Stephanie (10) sexuell missbraucht und getötet

After 26 years Hans-Joachim G. was caught as the suspected murderer of a girl. Now it became clear: He killed the ten-year-old to cover up another crime.

She had to die to remain silent! More than 26 years after the murder of Stephanie Drews (then 10) in Thuringia, a truck driver was arrested in Berlin on Sunday. Now Hans-Joachim G. (65) has confessed to having murdered Stephanie and previously abused her.

The investigators assume that Stephanie was killed "to cover up another crime", the public prosecutor's office announced on Tuesday afternoon. Before her death, Stephanie had been sexually abused by her tormentor. G. now faces a life sentence.

According to investigators, the suspect has already committed several sexual crimes in the Jena and Weimar area in the early 1990s. The investigators said in Jena on Tuesday that he had therefore been sentenced to several years in prison in 1996.

Therefore, the data of the German had been included in the files of another unsolved child murder case. An investigator then noticed that these traces matched the Stephanie murder case. Subsequently, it had been established through new possibilities in the DNA investigation that the man was highly likely to be the murderer of Stephanie.

The girl was abducted in Weimar on 24 August 1991. Two days later her body was found on the A4 motorway under the Teufelstalbrücke bridge at the Hermsdorfer Kreuz. Her killer had thrown her from the bridge into a depth of 53 meters.

Stephanie's murderer gets life in prison.

After 27 years, the death of Stephanie (10) has finally been brought to an end. On Friday, Hans-Joachim G. (66) was sentenced: Life imprisonment for murder.

The man wanted to get rid of the child in August 1991, after he had abducted and abused her, according to Chief Public Prosecutor Ralf Mohrmann on Friday before the Gera Regional Court. The statement that he merely dropped the girl off at the Teufelstalbrücke bridge on the Autobahn 4 was implausible. Rather, he had pushed Stephanie off the bridge with the intention of murder - for fear she could be discovered by a police patrol.

110496677_1543580313-768x432.jpg

"Murder does not become statute-barred and that is a good thing", said judge Uwe Tonndorf on Friday.

"It creeps me out how the accused talks about the incident," the lawyer of the joint plaintiff (Stephanie's mother) said. "That shows coldheartedness and lack of empathy."

The defendant's attorney explained that his client had no motive at all to kill the girl. He assumed that it was not abuse when he asked the child to undress in front of him. The accused should be acquitted of the murder charge.

RIP Stephanie Drews. May your family find closure.

Thank you ZaZara for the updates! I'm glad Stephanie's and Georgine's murders have been solved. A small consolation for the families.

Hopefully Inga will also be found one day. Her disappearance reminds me of Maelys' murder, similar circumstances, and I bet someone at the gathering that day lured Inga to their car or a neighbouring building. Have the surrounding buildings ever been searched with dogs?

The so-called Mantrailer with particularly sensitive sense of smell had been recognized for the second time on a trail in connection with the missing persons case.

Anyone got a better word for "mantrailer"

So basically sniffer dogs?

That is what I am getting. Funny how that translated!

I know this exchange was years ago but I had to smile when I read it and want to clarify that "mantrailer" really is the word used in German, it wasn't a faulty translation.

Mantrailer are search dogs used to find a specific person.

If I remember well, everything was searched. A young child may play hide and seek and fall asleep after all....

In the disappearance of little Maëlys, the family knew immediately where to look. They had wanted to go to the home of Nordahl Lelandais, but the police would not let them. A pity, because Maëlys might have been found much earlier.

I read a few other reports about the Stephanie's case. Het murder was solved because the Task Force was investigating three cold cases of murdered children at the same time. The Task force was created because at the time, a possible link was discovered between the murder of Peggy Knobloch and a deceased member of a neo-nazi group. The lead turned out to be false, a contamination of an instrument, but the Task Force continued their work. They found the man who would be Stephanie's murderer in the files of another victim.

Mordfall Stephanie: Frau Becker erkennt ein Muster - SPIEGEL ONLINE - Panorama

Claudia Becker leads the investigation of the Soko [ Task Force]. The 42-year-old has been with the police since 1995. She has already investigated sexual offences and drug-related crime. In November 2016 she came to Soko "Altfälle" [Cold Cases].

The group's initial work consisted of digitizing the contents of 300 folders. Thousands of pages of investigative work were scanned, from the Stephanie case and two other unsolved child murders: nine-year-old Bernd and ten-year-old Ramona.

The 20 folders on the Stephanie case had to be copied by hand. The documents were like sandwich paper, says Becker, and therefore unreadable for a scanner.

After the digitalization, Becker began reading. The Bernd case files alone fit into 15 boxes - and the investigator read them all for months. A hard job that was to pay off.

Because in those files Becker came across a suspect who had an alibi for the murder of Bernd. But the man had previously committed sexual offences against children that resembled what happened to Stephanie. "We have to check that," she said to a colleague. What exactly the similarity was, Becker does not want to say.

Trace 4.3.1, under this number the suspect was registered. A 65-year-old truck driver who lived in Berlin.

The alleged murderer of Georgine Krüger may hold the key to another disappearance.

Vier Monate vor Georgine verschwand schon eine Nachbarin

Four months before Georgine, a woman from the neighbourhood disappeared.

Exactly 280 meters separate the apartments of Ali K. (43) and Daniela Langer in Moabit. Since 19 May 2006, there has been no trace of the 40-year-old medical assistant. Is there a connection?

Langer disappeared only four months before Georgine Krüger (14) and only a two minutes walk away from the address of the suspected murderer ...

Does the convicted sex offender have another missing person on his conscience?

Looking back: On 25 May 2006, Daniela Langer and her friend Annemarie A. (60) plan to travel to the Baltic Sea, but Annemarie waits in vain, unable to reach her friend. Highly worried, she files a missing persons report. Interrogations of neighbours reveal: Six days before, Langer was seen for the last time.

Shortly afterwards, the case goes to the homicide department. Because the otherwise so reliable medical assistant in a psychiatric practice in Prenzlauer Berg does not turn up for work three weeks later. "We must assume that the woman has fallen victim to a crime," according to Norbert Preuschoff, head of the 1st Homicide Unit, at that time called the B.Z.

To this day there is no sign of life from Daniela Langer. But the arrest of the suspect in the Georgine case at the beginning of December arouses a new suspicion. The missing person lived on Feldzeugmeisterstraße - barely 300 metres away from the apartment of the suspected killer on Stendaler Straße.

According to local residents, Ali K. was not only assaulting young girls. Also mature women are said to have been sexually harassed by him, a woman from the Stendaler street was even raped.

Daniela Langer looked younger, was very slim and had dark hair - like Ali K.'s other victims. It remains unclear whether K. has already been questioned about the Langer case. In the Georgine case, the suspected murderer remains silent.

IMHO little Inga's disappearance could be solved in a similar way, if the perpetrator tries again, or has committed a similar crime before. There is no resaon to assume (nor to deny) that Inga's disappearance would have been a first for the possible offender.

Stendal: Inga bleibt auch nach vier Jahren wie vom Erdboden verschluckt | Stendal

Stendal - Traces fade, clues are arriving only sparsely. Almost exactly to the day four years ago Inga Gehricke disappeared in Wilhelmshof.

The case has by no means been filed, the girl has not been given up, Stendal's police spokeswoman Beatrix Mertens told the AZ.

Even if the "Wald" investigation team of up to 40 officers was officially dissolved in late summer 2016. So far a total of 2150 leads have been received, a really hot lead has not developed over the years. Even a clue with an international connection, as the police jargon says, from this spring ultimately led to emptiness. The then five-year-old remains missing as if she was swallowed up by the ground.

Mertens does not want to speculate about how likely it is that Inga is still alive. "The case is still an open one." At the time, the police were searching intensively in the forest. If a loss or running away can be excluded, as well as an animal attack, then the girl might have been kidnapped and live somewhere else. The perpetrator could have been in the area purely by chance. The investigators would have considered a crime possible early on, including the variant of a "mobile perpetrator". That Inga might even have fallen into the hands of a pedophile cannot be ruled out either.

The case remains mysterious. Inga went to the edge of the forest during a party to collect wood for a campfire. She did not return. What exactly happened on the evening of May 2, 2015, only a few days before her sixth birthday, cannot yet be reconstructed due to the crucial questions. The girl from Schönebeck near Magdeburg visited the Diakoniewerk with her parents. The area is extensive. A good dozen houses are located there, apparently nobody noticed how the little girl suddenly disappeared. There have been speculations and rumours in the population from the beginning. The forensic psychiatry, in which also sex offenders and child abusers sit, is close.

Mertens is probably familiar with all these speculations and she speaks several times of various possible versions. The fact is: "The investigations were not interrupted at any time, but continued seamlessly in the Central Criminal Service, so that this case is not an old case from our point of view". And: "The Inga case is still very present to all colleagues, the officials are still being sensitive to possible clues." So far this year, only four of them have been received. The investigators continued to look for new approaches and hoped for the decisive tip. And once again: "Kidnapping is still possible as one of several versions."

If the visit in the Altmark had not been so drastic, Inga, today nearly ten years old, would probably attend a primary school in the Salzlandkreis. The sympathy, especially in the early days and in the upper part of Saxony-Anhalt, is great. There are perhaps 100 kilometres between Wilhelmshof, part of the Stendal village of Uchtspringe, and Schönebeck, which is not the world. The father, a local politician, thanked them publicly at the time. On the website of the Diakoniewerk Wilhelmshof, an institution of the help for handicapped and addicted people, you can find a prayer for Inga. In it, the Wilhelmshof community asks for strength and stamina for the police.

Police spokeswoman Mertens continues unabated explaining that "The contact with relatives will continue to be based on mutual trust". Four years ago in May, at least 1000 police officers, firefighters and helpers searched for the girl from the small town on the Elbe. The investigators used sniffer dogs, combed entire forest areas, used helicopters, and drove loudspeaker trucks through the area. They searched all over Germany and Europe. Posters in shops, petrol stations and other locations as well as several television calls were also unsuccessful. Even a reward of 25,000 euros for the decisive tip did not help.

Where are you, Inga?

Having relatives in Germany, I think regularly of Inga and hope her case will be resolved. It doesn't seem like she simply became lost in the woods, they were so thoroughly searched.
Inga, you are not and will not be forgotten.
