Stellar work and thanks for doing it.
Now need to be able to find it quickly.
sincere thanks, again.

From my previous experience in studying serial killers, they are all twisted and deviant to some extent. The more I hear about some of the items they are looking for, the more I feel like the victims were literally introduced to hell here on earth. Between to psychological torture he meted out to friends and family with the calls, to the hunting behaviors he displayed, I’m not sure any of us fully comprehend what he may have done to his victims.

So, it doesn't have to be uploaded to CODIS for LE to check for a match?
No, they can manually compare. They pull the dna sample from Codis and compare to the one they have on hand belonging to RH. Again, this what the article sounds like they are doing. I am not an expert in this area so one would have to confirm. This is only my opinion.

I have a theory here. Heuermann has some of the tell tale signs of being a prepper. I was not shocked when a neighbor in SC used the word in interviews.

Signs of a prepper: stock piling guns, ammo, armor, hoarding food, distrust in govt in regards to guns, collecting military vehicles, acquiring multiple plots of land to be used as a compound, building safe rooms/vaults. Though not at all indicative of anything on it's own (and please for the sake of open discussion, this is not a political attack, it is fact) preppers hold conservative views as core values. Some states have public voting records.

That said, besides hoarding food, armor, and ammo, RH checks the boxes. He may or may not have those things in Massapequa. No confirmed word on that so there is no use in assuming he does. We also know nothing about what he has stored on his other properties.

Prepper is not a derogatory word. Preppers use it to describe themselves and their "preparedness".
I believe veg gardens are also popular with preppers (e.g., greenhouse).

This one really makes me shiver.

Just saw this -- please forgive if it is a repeat:

Walk-In Vault Found in Rex Heuermann's Basement During Search of Property: Police

Police are investigating whether the 59-year-old Manhattan architect and father of two killed some of his victims at his family's home

Nearly two weeks into their search Rex Heuermann’s home on Long Island, police said they’ve found a vault inside the suspected Long Island Serial Killer’s home and have begun digging up his backyard.
Suffolk Police Commissioner Rodney Harrison told reporters Monday that Heuermann, a 59-year-old architect and father of two, kept guns inside the walk-in basement vault, which had a “big iron door,” ABC News reports.
[...]
CBS News also reports that drone footage showed investigators digging a large hole in the suspect’s backyard, as they've reportedly been investigating whether Heuermann killed any of his alleged victims at his suburban Massapequa Park home.

Thank you! This was amazing.

There are specialists who are very good at getting these types of guys to confess. Appealing to their ego, etc. One of the best interrogations I've ever seen was the one with David Russell Williams, the Canadian Air Force pilot who was a serial rapist and killer.

I want to see them send a 4’10-5 foot female cop in there to go after him in that interrogation room. He clearly likes to intimate people with his height and his victims were all shorter than 5’2 (I think? I could be wrong on one of the heights). It would be so satisfying to see a woman the same height as his victims go at him like a pit bull. See how he likes it.

Realistically yes-I know they have to use techniques and kiss his *advertiser censored* and appeal to his ego, but I can dream, right?

At a press conference outside the home where Heuermann lived with his wife and two kids, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney said police had found a "tremendous amount of information" during their search.

He declined to describe the bulk of the material, but said there was not a "singular piece of evidence" that jumped out to him.

BBM THIS scares me. Nothing jumped out to him or he won’t say?

Can locals help me out here: how do you interpret that?
Does it mean, that he got a hunting licence for hunting in Alaska - does US issue hunting licences by the state?
Or does it mean, that he got any hunting licence, be it for any random area or be it a US-wide licence, but he for some reason got it in Alaska? What would the reasons be for that? Is it, for example, easier to get said licence in Alaska, because they do not require, say, eyesight testing or something? Just cheaper?

There are lots of missing women in Alaska if he did go there to hunt after all.

IMO (and perhaps wishful thinking), I think he won't say.

Wowzers!! Thank you! Timelines are so useful and I know this took a lot of work. I wish there were a way to "pin" it for reference.

Great work!

RH says he visited Cocoa Beach, FL in 2017. There one missing girl that looks like his type. Missing: Stephanie Smith | Daytona, FL | Uncovered
I'm sorry, but it appears you've switched up Vegas and Florida:
November 2017: RH visits Las Vegas alone "for a couple days to meet some people." When asked, "so it was a pleasure trip?," RH responds "I guess you could say that, social." (pg. 133 of the EBT in Heuermann v O'Sullivan)

- January 2018: RH drives down to Cocoa Beach, Florida with his wife, mother, and daughter (pg. 131 of the EBT in Heuermann v O'Sullivan)

It varies state to state. Some states collect DNA after any arrest. In other states it's any arrest for a felony. And other states require a conviction of a felony before they collect DNA. So, it's possible that they haven't collected DNA yet. I don't know NY's laws on the matter.
Don't know for a fact that they collect DNA at the time of arrest, but to me it would make sense, especially in this case where they are looking for more victims. JMO
