First time poster here...

I've been following this case since the beginning and the scenario that makes the most sense to me, right now, is that of a scorned ex. Of the 6 people that we know where in the house that night, the 4 that were murdered had something obvious in common. Long-standing, close relationships with one-another. I believe the suspect knew where his intended targets would be sleeping. He waited for them to retreat to their rooms, in order to avoid detection by the a 1st floor (basement) roommates. If you look at the pictures posted earlier, of the floor-plan, you'll see that the stairwell to the 1st floor (basement) is directly off of the living room.

We know that the calls from K to J were in regards to their shared pup... Did J have the dog that night? Was he supposed to drop the dog off but never did and that's reason for the late night calls from K and M? Why would K call J about their dog at that hour unless something was up. Did he refuse to bring the dog back? DId he take the dog while they were out?

We also know from K's parents that she was in town to show M her new car. How did J take this? If what K's parent's have said is true, that K and J had plans to get back together, don't you think it would make sense that K would also be excited to show J, as well?

I've dated a few "nice guys" that turned into complete psychopaths once their insecurities were triggered, or they felt as though they were losing me. Their anger/blame extended to anyone close to me, as they were perceived as a threat.

Obviously, this is all MOO, but I think whoever did was angry at all of the 4 victims, with K being the common denominator.

Got a feeling an ex or something. Only thing those would have in common is them telling one of the girls to leave him because “he’s no good for u” and he somehow found out or assumed it. Triggered him. Just a theory

Didn’t realize the quote was plural floor(s). But considering it doesn’t “seem” that the killer ever went to the first floor, there wouldn’t be blood there, so it’s not ridiculous to infer the 3rd floor, although it doesn’t not specifically state that.

New member here. I've been reading the posts for awhile, and decided to join. This is such a heartbreaking and puzzling crime. <modsnip> I have a feeling it could be an ex-military person responsible, they seemed to know what they were doing.
It’s certainly someone who’s used a knife in this manner before, whether hunting or in LE/military. It’s hard to imagine a first time, inexperienced killer being able to pull this off at all let alone undetected.

Just analyzing the report of suspicious activity reported prior and after this crime.

Very few prior reports were reported but after this crime, people are reporting more and you can tell they are being a bit more cautious in watching their surroundings. You can feel how this has affected the community with everyone tuning their ears to any sound, possibly feeling unsafe at this time. It is good that they are on alert and reporting suspicious activities.
I feel truly sorry to the community but they can get a baby cam/ip cam on Amazon and set it up at their windows and probably lock their bedrooms with some weapons.

P.S. IMOO, You can also see that some people in the community are also stroking fears on other simply being suspicious at this time after this crime

I'm kinda reluctant to think the red liquid is blood. I believe it would coagulate before it could get outside.

I live in Texas and insects, air and water do get through the siding space down there. However the only time water has come in is when we have torrential downpours. Hundreds of gallons will shoot out from a downspout and it will back up. Homes in Idaho are likely more airtight than here.
Exactly! Of course, the blood would coagulate within minutes (unless victims were hemophilics), and any notion that human blood soaked a mattress and bedding and then penetrated floors, wallboard, insulation, etc. and presented on the masonry foundation is ludicrous.

An adult will have approximately 1.2-1.5 gallons (or 10 units) of blood in their body.

Seriously, spill a few gallons of any liquid on your floor, and good luck finding it oozing from your walls and staining your foundation!

Principles of Bloodstain Pattern Analysis

To understand how analysts interpret bloodstains, one must first understand the basic properties of blood.

Blood contains both liquid (plasma and serum) and solids (red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and proteins). Blood is in a liquid state when inside the body, and when it exits the body, it does so as a liquid.

But as anyone who has had a cut or a scrape knows, it doesn’t remain a liquid for long. Except for people with hemophilia, blood will begin to clot within a few minutes, forming a dark, shiny gel-like substance that grows more solid as time progresses.

The presence of blood clots in bloodstains can indicate that the attack was prolonged, or that the victim was bleeding for some time after the injury occurred.

Blood can leave the body in many different ways, depending on the type of injury inflicted. It can flow, drip, spray, spurt, gush or just ooze from wounds

Crucial info. Thank you! The reports of blood on the walls lead me to think that this type of analysis will be important. And time-consuming.

MOO, but a couple of points I’m make.

First, “unconscious” is the word commonly entered in the MPD Daily Activity Logs.

Second, I’ve been reading them for years & we get a lot of weird service calls. This is a college town.

What I can confidently state is that calls ~dramatically increased~ following the first presser. After many students & residents fled town.

MOO - I’ll always wonder what tips might have come in had the presser happened earlier. I don’t know why calls didn’t dramatically increase on the days before the presser.

How do we know that they had a dog? Was that mentioned somewhere? I found the listing for the rental property and it specifically said “no pets”. I did see a dog in one of the girl’s TikTok videos. But do we know for sure there was an actual dog living full time in the house with them.

Dog lived there!

Please look at the media page for this case. The dog stuff is well covered there. The dog was there and is now safe.

This was probably the guys first kill. Maybe he was just watching them, noticed that they all went to sleep, and saw that the door was open so he went to kitchen and grabbed a knife. The multiple stab wounds indicate this guy had no experience and was just frantically stabbing. Something made him snap that day and one thing evolved to another. There was some kind of rage that led the person to do it with a house full of people. A triggering event.
I don’t believe they would have used a knife there unless the victims had a K-Bar knife and left it in plain sight. They are looking for that specific type of weapon because at autopsy when looking at the wounds there was likely bruising in where the crossbar stopped and was surrounding the wound. I believe Xana’s father said she had bruising with tearing in the wound which he called defensive wounds.

Is JS the hoodie guy at the food truck? If so, he has been cleared by LE.

Agreed! The only thing that makes me feel better (? Maybe not the best choice of words) is that I imagine press has descended on Moscow like a plague, and I bet there are a lot of weird and aggressive people lurking around.

However the unknown “be safe out there” insta post really creeps me out for some reason.
