Wow, I keep seeing this quote. I am not sure the purpose other than to build drama in an already dreadful tragedy.

Would being kidnapped not be in your nightmares? Your imagination may go elsewhere but the recording very well may not have.

In respect for these girls, I just don't like the idea of people trying to imagine, for the sake of drama, the horror they went through.

I understand your point. IMO, the relevance is less about dramatizing or trying to imagine their horror and more about speculating if they have additional audio or video that they could release to help bring in the right tip. The statement about nightmares may be suggesting they do have more but nothing that can, or should, be released. If that's the case, at least it may bring some hope that if they eventually do arrest someone, they have more information for the investigation and trial to increase chance of conviction. JMO

Sometimes I wonder if BG is going about his life without giving what he did much thought. I am saying this because I have been with not one, but two murderers shortly after their kills. They were both in the 90's. The first was my daughters best friend's brother. He was able to get a job with a delivery service even though he had been convicted of residential break in and theft. Anyway, he made a delivery one day and decided to return several days later to break in and steal. However, a 16 year old exchange student who the family was hosting was inside.

She had come home from school sick. It was her third week in the United States. He stabbed her 28 times and raped her (using a condom) when she was dead. He then flushed it down the toilet. The police would later recover the condom when they drained the septic system. Anyway hours after he killed we all had a BBQ. I will forever remember him playing the air guitar while he had the band Styx blasting from his car radio. He didn't have a care in the world while he flipped burgers while he told jokes. He had just slaughtered and he is telling jokes. It took three weeks for an arrest. We were all floored. When they went into his place they found stacks of newspapers next to his bed. He had been following the case. He committed suicide in the jail a week later while on a suicide watch.

Killer two: I worked as a supervisor for a cleaning crew in morning retail. My trash guy went to a state park, found a girl suntanning. She was getting married in a few days. He took her to the women's rest room. He hung her up like a deer and gutted her. The next day he was at work as usual. Nothing out of the ordinary. He was arrested several weeks later. A park ranger had seen a someone acting strange at the park a week earlier and wrote down his license plate. It was him. He had been casing the place. Again, we were all floored. The police had me meet with a FBI criminal profiler. They had never meet anyone who knew two murderers. They wanted to know what they had in common. They both had to things in common. They both bragged about stuff you knew they were making up but listened anyway and they both had girls friends that bossed them around relentlessly. So, BG could be going on with life as if nothing ever happened.

There was a tweet yesterday from a reporter who said LE told her that they are getting closer to an arrest. It was quoted in this and the previous thread several times. You can use the search function and search for it.

First time posting, but I've read every thread on these girls.
Regarding photos of BG:
In one pic, I clearly see the hood up. In the other, though, I definitely see thick brown hair. I have seen the inverted color (light/dark reversed) pic someone did which shows the hood visible on both pics. Also, I've read the discussions about how it must be the hood in both since the pics are assumed to be taken in quick sequence as still shots from video, and the hood wouldn't be up in one, down in the other that quickly.

With all that said, I'm wondering if people see BG in the pics with thick brown hair, when it's possible it's his hood up, so he may have blonde, black, or gray hair...they may rule out someone as a suspect thinking well he looks like BG but he's bald, or whatever. MOO

Also, my impression is his jacket is stuffed with something ("tools" etc.) So it's hard to judge his actual body shape. At first glance it looks like he is heavy set, but IMO he has a lot of "stuff" in his pockets and/or under his jacket. MOO

I know his picture has been scrutinized seven ways to Sunday, but it's just frustrating that his picture is out there but he hasn't been caught. I do believe this is the best image LE has of the guy though. I think if there were clearer images, even if they arent releasing them for whatever reason, they would at least release a description (estimated ht, wt, hair color etc.) All this is MOO!

There were days I would see those pics side by side in someone's signature here and would swear they were different men wearing the same clothes. Like twinkies. One older (late 40's mid 59's) and the other younger (30's). I chalked it up to shadows.

I wrestled with the whole hood/hat/hair thing too.

You know I don't know the answer but I speculate it is because they don't have power or control of their relationships with the girlfriends, and with a female they don't know they can exhibit their power with control.

They feel powerless to stand up to the women in their life, so they instead take out their rage on a stranger, and that makes them feel powerful instead. ("Transference").

A different subject. I used to be married to someone who was living a double life. There were no signs. There was no way to know.

I agree that if the BG is cold enough to do what he did then he probably hasnt batted an eye ever since. He probably is not hiding out or laying low.

He is probably going about business as usual just like before he did what he did.

I could even see where he may have gone right into town after the murders which may explain why her cell phone pinged over town if that was correct from the relative.

I kept thinking he would immediately hide and leave the town and now I wonder if he didnt go right into town right afterwards. He may have stayed around for a couple days even.

This is what makes it so difficult to catch him. He is not going to change his demeanor. He is not going to be nervous. He is just going to do same as before.

This may help LE though because its a little strange for people to be like that to begin with and never get rattled by anything. They may seem weird as compared to other people. Maybe someone that people normally avoid because people may think they are kind of odd to begin with. Most places have certain people like that where the town folk normally avoid a person just because they seem a little odd to begin with.

So that may end up being a clue if anyone knows anyone that never gets rattled by anything. Like if they hear news that a big building is on fire that type of person may just brush it off or laugh about it.

Because if they killed their own girlfriends they'd be at the top of the suspect list. If they kill a random person LE may never find them.

In regard to some things I've read today, but didn't multi-quote...

I don't believe the photo was reversed. As important as it is to have it as accurate as possible, I'm sure it would have been corrected long ago.

I'm not sure if it would be considered to be decompensating; I see it more that he is gaining confidence and may have been rushed when someone arrived looking for the girls. In my theory, he started out (or early in his 'career') with a single 9 year-old girl, several years later it was an 8 (almost 9) year-old and a 10 year-old girl, 5 years later a 13 year-old and 14 year-old girl, I wouldn't be surprised if he molested other young girls before the first murder (or even raped women), and I would also not be surprised if there weren't more single murders between 1996 and 2012,

I've been wondering if he happened to be passing by when the girls were dropped off and saw that they were there unsupervised. He may have wandered around a bit looking for witnesses, and grabbed them when he was sure nobody else was around.

Out of curiosity, I would assume that these murders you are mentioning are all various cases, do you have info/links to them? Would be curious to see, and to know what makes you think it's the same guy? Thank you!

I just cannot see it (cannot see a lot of them). Cannot figure out the problem. I refreshed several times. Must have something to do with a tweet? I don't tweet. Does anyone have any suggestions.
