Do u have a link skibs cos when we were discussing it I thought the result was it was a samsung because the bottom button looked like an ellipsis rather than a circle. At the time of the discussion I looked at my Samsung Galaxy which has the elongated button too. It's not important as it is just my opinion unless the make and type has been released previously and I missed it.

I am sure it was said by the family that Libby had a iphone on the tv special that aired a few Thursday's back. They mentioned how Abby and her would face time each other and Abby was on a iPad and Libby on a iPhone.

Correct, the NW approach to the bridge is where the trail ends. The bridge itself is still CSX railroad property. The property beyond the other end of the bridge (SE end), meaning the old railroad Right-of-Way, has been reclaimed by property owners along there.

When I was watching a video on the bridge it suddenly occurred to me if i was alarmed by a person and thought I was being trapped I would actually jump off that bridge. At worse I break a leg but I'm alive.

But I am looking at this from a adults perspective and not a 13 year old.

Because indont think they realized what was about to happen. Maybe they just thought they were in trouble for something not in danger.

I also agree. If I heard the voice taken out of context without knowing he was about to kill two people, I would never think there was anything unusual about the voice. I would say he sounded authoritative, determined with a purpose. He could be a tour guide directing his group where to walk.My impression is that he was coldly detached, his plan was in play in his mind's eye. Humans that commit these crimes are very different. There's no empathy or compassion. Only selfish determination to act out a predetermined scenario.

One possibility is that BG was pretending to be an official with CSX or the trail authorities, etc., and that he told the girls that children (or people generally) were prohibited from walking on the bridge. Hence "down the hill", because they supposedly weren't allowed to return via the bridge. But I don't know, he was so mean looking in that last photo that has come out, it is hard to imagine the girls wouldn't have freaked at being escorted across Deer Creek. But men with natural rapist tendencies probably often have a wiliness about them, same as to disarming defense emotions as to other things. And maybe they figured he would shoot them or whatever if they didn't obey.

i believe LE when they said they have found evidence. i also believe them when they say they are still waiting on the results.

But you don't believe LE when they say RL is not a suspect ...
Beliefs can be very fluid depending on our prejudices

I know many times perps that may know the victims are unidentified because it's the last person that anyone would ever think to suspect....moo

I am sure I read LE have said Libby was alarmed and had the forsight to start recording the person so Libby definitely had some idea that things were not good.

LE know a lot more than us like how they know it was Libby recording and not Abby. How they know the Down the hill commment the person is exasperated with the girls.

I've wondered just how much work had to go into cleaning up the audio, adjusting volume(s), etc., before it was released. There had to be some work involved to try to isolate the spoken words, as best they could.

I have wondered that as well. I don't think the background sounds are crunching leaves or brush. I am more inclined to think it is sound cancelling noise to block the girls voices. I can't imagine they were both quiet once he took control. Libby was clearly concerned and began recording. Their fight or flight instinct would have kicked in and certainly they would have been speaking in some manner. As far as running as he approached they sensed something was wrong and perhaps at the instant they realized the danger was definitely real, he charged at them in a blitz attack. Probably pulled a weapon out and I would say that is the moment most people would suddenly feel like "is this really happening?" It would be so sudden that the shock would probably paralyze them. Who would ever expect that to jump out at them in a place they felt at ease and comfortable. Just tragic. IMO

Who says they dont recognize him tips were called in yes?
I think le has had a lot of calls we just are not privy to it

Yes - that is the difference IMO. If they had said from the cloud I would feel certain they do not have the phone.

I also feel certain LE have the phone as the image of BG was put out more or less straight away.... obtaining information from someone's account/cloud would take more than a few days even when requested from LE

Recent media reports indicate the reward has grown to $250,000. Every time I see mention of the reward, my mind goes immediately to locals think this was some type of connection to a hit by organized crime. Just my opinion......

But it appears most of the reward has been donated locally and locals always develope their own theories and they know of the people involved. If they believed the guilty person was local and this was an easy crime to crack by DNA testing, I just don't think they'd continue to focus on raising more money.

Does LE have a certain quota they can use when it comes to DNA testing? For instance can they send evidence or DNA away for testing as many times as they like for each case?

yes, significant. Also, DNA testing takes considerably longer when they have a suspect in mind.

I remember someone was going to visit the bridge a few weeks ago and check out whether it was possible to climb up onto the bridge and also check out the deer stand. Did we ever hear from that person?

LE also served other search warrants as well I thought so he was not the only one given such treatment.

well there were over a dozen LE and FBI officers there, and they spent over 12 hours. They had canines with them as well. They carried out "armloads" of things from his home as well as taking his vehicle away with evidence tape on the doors. LE made a much bigger deal with this search. the media presence was enormous and LE put themselves in front of the camera for many interviews spelling out why they were there.
