Who knows. LE has been wanting to talk to the parents to find out who was in the house that day/night and the parents aren't disclosing that information. At least that's the way I understand it.

In the first few press conferences LE and family had stated that they had given LE a list of people to check out. I do not recall ever reading that parents were not disclosing information as to who was at the house on that day/evening.

In any event, we can assume that DB was caught in a lie here... about the three phones not working. What would be her motive to lie about this?

I think you are right. Anyone who spent time in a federal penitentiary would likely be wise enough to NOT walk around town holding an partially clothed deceased or unconscious (not crying) baby at 4 am.

True, but you would also think someone with a federal record would be wise enough not to break into cars, either. I don't think this guy is a criminal mastermind.

You know, crazy as that may sound, I actually wondered about that just last night. Even thought, maybe they had been restricted, but she paid the bill that day and just elected not to tell JI that because she didn't want play time interrupted by the pesky husband.

Yes, I don't think JT was planning to make a life on what he made taking care of a lawn. He couldn't, apparently, afford his own apartment. So whether he needed money for drugs, he needed money.

I recall the Starbucks being a 20-25 minute drive. I imagine that would be a different tower.

Well, DB's excuse for the phones not working is that the bills hadn't been paid. I would think JI would know if the bills weren't being paid. IMO, they're lying together on the dead phones.

This is the brother who was at lisa's house and went to the store with deb at 4:30. He then returned with deb to the house at about 5pm. He then left the house sometime before 5:30pm when jeremy left for work. This info is from msm.

I haven't seen anything about him returning to lisa's that night. except rumor.

I did read an article that he spoke with le yesterday.

What reason would she have had to lie? I think most people know that LE can get cell phone records and status of account. It would've taken less than 24 hours for LE to find out that the phones were not restricted.

Everyone keeps saying that JI was looking for the phones to call 911 and that's when they found them missing...even if the phones are restricted you can dial 911. I just got a new phone and they messed up activating it and when I tried to dial a number it said that I could only dial emercency numbers.

IMO the phone that wasn't restricted was the borrowed phone however she was in the process of putting the numbers in it...ETA Let me tell you how time consuming that is...took me 4 hours to do mine but I have a lot of numbers.

There's a thread on the subject regarding the parents not disclosing vital information, but then again maybe I am mistaken in the way "I" construed what I read.

JI was at work at 8:30. So that would only leave, DB, SB, or possibly PN (IF he was there).

ETA: Oh wait...you said IF the phone was in JI's possession. Interesting. But then, of course, DB would have been lying about the phones all being on the kitchen counter. (Not that I think she wouldn't lie, I definitely do!).

ETA again: But then, LE would surely know if the phone was used somewhere away from the home, wouldn't they? :waitasec:

Yeah, but the problem is, we don't know what police know. We've gotta make assumptions on the bare-bones information we have.

IMO, if DB and JI are both lying about the phones not in working order, then they could both be lying about the phones being out on the kitchen counter. If JI had that phone (I'm throwing spaghetti on the wall), he might have placed the call around 8:30 to MW for whatever reason... whatever connection the two may have.

This could be his motive for lying... he's got a friend-girl on the side that he didn't want exposed.

I don't understand why someone (or two someones) would tell such a blatant lie that can so easily be disproven with one phone call from LE to the phone carrier. They both can't be seriously stupid enough to believe that if the phones go "poof" that would be the end of the story? If they had two brain cells between them they had to have known the restricted phone lie would be discovered in a nanosecond.

I don't know. Maybe they really thought LE would show up and then immediately beat feet looking for kidnapper and would never question them/their story at all, much less check it out. I suppose that's possible (not that LE would do it, but that DB&JI would think it.)

No, I also recall this. IIRC, it was a quote from SY of LE about needing questions answered about (paraphrased) "who was coming and going".

Exactly. LE said they had questions only DB&JI could answer, such as who came and went from that house that night.

I'm right there with ya. Why not just say, "Oh, the phones pinged here and there? Okay." Why make up such an obvious, easily proven lie about phones being restricted? Doesn't make any sense what so ever. Especially if you know you used one of the phones at 8:30 that evening.

UNLESS...the phone that pinged was JI's phone, and that phone really was restricted. If that's the case, then the phone someone used to dial MW must have been the borrowed phone.

ITA, the three-phones-out-of-order story has been suspect from the beginning. Very early on, I assmed that perhaps DB is really not smart enough to know that phone calls can be traced without the phone.

This is for the theory thread, but IMO DB is the guilty party here. I'm just trying to figure out if she had some sort of accomplice who helped her cover up.. and whether all of this was pre-meditated. I'll copy and paste this thought on theories.

I do not understand how it's "obvious" she didn't wash her hands? I've showered and gone an entire day, including hand-washing, taking mc gloves on and off, and have stuff written on my hand still.

Sad that people are bent on assuming the worst about these folks.

AGAIN... my remark that it was gross that she did not wash her hands all day after caring for a sick baby was a REPLY to an earlier assertion that she had not washed her hands. It was a comment about the earlier remark... not a direct commentary on Deb's hygiene.
