Believe it or not, I'm a 35 year cancer survivor. So I guess that makes me an expert on . . . something, not sure what. But whatever it is, I'm better at it than him.

 WTG!!!!!

Bet she was never so happy to get "sick" in her entire life. Interesting that she says she uses pscyotherapy to improve mental health.

Yes, I think it was Samuels, probably in conjunction with Nurmi, that decided on the DV route. It certainly appears that they confronted Jodi about her lying until she came up with a lie they thought they could defend. Clearly neither of them thought it through very carefully.

Probably and since they both specialize in defending sex offenders they no doubt thought that any woman can lie about being the victim of DV or SA and be believed cart blanche. Wrong! In my experience it's usually the abuser doing the lying, and I've no doubt Jodi was the abuser in this relationship. Anyway, if that is their thinking, it says an awful lot about them. WSer's know better and I'll bet the jury does also.

Well....if 35 years experience is all it takes to be an expert...count me in as an Expert on Chocolate !!!!! sigh...really...this guy is sooooooo bad !

Welcome. Lived in LaMarque when Jessica Cain went missing. Thought of her the other day when I saw a picture of a truck like the one she was driving.

Temptation... that word does not come up alot, but def a big one.

Jodi has certainly touched upon of of the 7 Deadly Sins.

Has there been anymore evidence about whether Jodi was actually named as one of the people supposed to go on that Cancun trip?

As far as I know, there's just been the report on HLN, nothing further. Guess we'll find out.

You guys are bad bad bad.....the good doc was doing his very best for m Ariass. She forgot ..... Or " mis-answered a few...so being a "good doc" <cough> he fixed the answers for her. He formed some kinda hippothothesis sump in on her in the very beginning and there will be know way he could be wrong. Right?
35 years experience has tought him a lot. Aw shucks...there we go..I knew my waders weren't tall enough for this BS....haha

:giggle: those hands give me nightmares.

And the skinnier she gets the more they look like the grim reaper's skeleton hands.

I posted before that I watch cartoons every night before I go to sleep after watching the trial coverage all day.

Her dead eyes and creepy hands...she scares the bejeezus out of me and just knowing the horror those hands wreaked, I can't stand to even look at them. I can barely stand to look at her - she's so disgusting.

And she's forever ruined one of my most beloved Christmas songs, "O Holy Night". I'll never be able to listen to it again without seeing her soulless eyes.

Just my interpretations from the court minutes:

DT originally called ALV for the sentencing phase only.
Juan asks for her notes.
DT doesn't want him to have ALL the notes - work product, they claim
Suddenly ALV will be testifying in the GUILT PHASE.
Juan still wants ALL notes

In the end -, he gets them all except three or four, but oh, the games they played with him. Over and over and over again. On every issue.

:welcome4:

That is Arias' mitigation specialist.

Well, if the woman above Juan's head is JA's Mitigation Specialist, then why does the Maricopa County Superior Court list Sue Stodola the Mitigation Specialist?

As we can see, they are not the same person.

Does this pic of prosecution expert Dr. Janeen Demarte remind y'all of anyone?

http://therapists.psychologytoday.com/rms/name/Janeen_DeMarte_PhD_Phoenix_Arizona_136525

She has a PhD in Clinical Psychology and treats individuals and families.
............................................................................................................
Defense DV expert Alyce La Violette has a Masters in Community-Psychology, which I think indicates she doesn't treat individuals but focuses on community dynamics and group interactions. If so, I don't know what she'll be able to suggest about Jodi in particular. Maybe she'll restrict herself to generalities.

Not according to "Dr." Samuels. He testified that the lawyers wouldn't understand it. It takes his 35 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE to read the scores. :floorlaugh:

Yep those test are made by real smart people. I hope when he said that the jury was insulted as much as we were. It didn't take any of us more than thirty minutes to figure out the damn test scoring, and that he was falsify the results in Jodi's favor...even though he said PTSD is not a "get out of jail" free pass. Loved the look on JW's face at that one.

I hear ya on the Christmas song........my AB FAB.....now we will see what happens to the song for me in dec......Pavoratti singing it is awesome.

Willmott asserts the "attack by stranger" she filled out on the PDS test COULD have been when she was accosted by knifepoint when she was 13. However, since that was her biggest issue on the test, it goes on to clarify a time period. I think it was 6 mo to a year, which would of course, be way off if she were talking about the incident at 13 yo.

I could be wrong but I believe it was 6 months to 3 years.

Either way, it was wth before she ever met Travis, so it's yet another stupid thing the defense team opened the door on.

I agree. I do think Cancun was salt in an already gaping wound but I don't believe that, solely in and of itself, was ever motive for his murder.

I don't believe it's a coincidence that this is an intimate partner homicide and many, many times such a homicide occurs when the victim is leaving the relationship. Or soon thereafter.

JMO

britskate, jumping off your post. how do senior citizens psychopaths behave? if ja were freed as a old lady how would her behavior differ? just curious. lol

JA definitely ruined that beautiful Christmas carol for me.

Kind of a creepy resemblance. I haven't red her creds in a while, but I believe she's fairly new - maybe 6 yrs out? So many of Willmott's questions about experience were totally directed at DeMarte. She couldn't have been any more obvious about it.

Whoops 8 years it looks like.
