Because they're Malaysia. Maybe whoever responded to that question didn't actually know the answer so they made something up. It wouldn't surprise me.

They dont know how all this high tech stuff works. They didnt know why his legs looked messy. They thought the ink was wet?

Or maybe the shoebomb cause over exposure but they couldnt tell us that.

Radar..wha??

Security? huh?

Fake passports???

good points both of you

there is nothing common about sense

Umm, which dog? I have quite a few. The Great Pyrenees is outside, but I haven't heard him bark. The chihuahua is under the covers fast asleep. The oldest beagle, I 'think' she's in the living room. Youngest beagle is in the basement. Dachshund is on my aunt's bed, aunt is in the hospital. Rottweiler just went into the kitchen and got water, and is back by the bed. She passed by the bathroom, but didn't bark or go in there. No idea where the cats are.

As for going to investigate, no thanks. That is THE way to get killed. Horror movies taught me you NEVER go investigate a noise, or something strange. Nope. Stay put. Oscar taught me you can't shoot before asking questions... to ask questions, I have to investigate...since I can't investigate...guess I can't shoot. Get 'em dogs! Earn your keep for once!!!!
:twocents:

Quick shoot the light bulb. It is the less stressful solution.

The first digital camera I owned, way back in the early days, often combined a part of one picture with part of another. If two people had been standing in the same place when I took pictures of them, it would have been very possible for the bottom half of one to become the bottom half of the other.

Jeez, all of these people seem so atypical of any terrorists we've ever heard of before. It just doesn't seem possible to me that a member of the crew is responsible for this, but on the other hand, it seems like there could be no other explanation! My head is spinning.
I still say we don't know who all was on that flight. Security was so lax and anyone could have gotten fake credentials to ride jump seats. Or so lax...anyone could have gotten on the plane and no one checked them out. No one is going to come forward to say they are missing if they don't know and most terrorists' moms don't check up on them.

Ummm, the light in the bathroom just came on. The only person in the house besides me is snoring in the bed beside me. Someone go check my bathroom please!!!! But don't send Mr. Terrorist over!!

Seriously, I'm up because a female calling my name woke me up! My German Shepherd went wild, but cameras outside showing nothing! I'm the only female in my house, and my name is hard to pronounce! Blade (my dog) done a walk through and found nothing,

LOL , Now there is an app for that!

When I was a kid we had those interchangable barbie plates.

I think Malaysia was playing the barbie plate thing.

Your camera however sounds like the digitall version of the Philadelphia Experiment .

And this case of the missing plane is interesting in relation to it.

I don't think the security was THAT lax though. I'm not buying the jump seat theory, but that's just me. The jump-seat guy may not have been sure he would catch a flight on that plane, and this high-jacked plane seemed to be planned down to the last minute detail. And if the high jacking was dependent on this one guy catching a random flight, I don't believe it.

The (12 Chinese/8 Malaysian) men from the US company (Freescale, in Austin, TX) had manufacturing sites in Kuala Lumpur and in Beijing; there were also 9 other FS managers who didn't get on this flight but were to follow later.

The second article gets into the most detail concerning what FS manufactures (hi-tech aviation-related components such as radar-blocking, for one).

Maldives island residents report sighting of 'low flying jet'

Residents of the remote Maldives island of Kuda Huvadhoo in Dhaal Atoll have reported seeing a "low flying jumbo jet" on the morning of the disappearance of the Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.

Whilst the disappearance of the Boeing 777 jet, carrying 239 passengers has left the whole world in bewilderment, several residents of Kuda Huvadhoo told Haveeru on Tuesday that they saw a "low flying jumbo jet" at around 6:15am on March 8.

Hmmmm...this would put it on the path to Somalia.

Wasn't that plane white with red stripes? I doubt they could have landed it, painted it and got it back in the air by then.

There we go, his fairly basic simulator. There was a costing done on it a few threads ago and it was established that it could be done for under $5,000. If I recall correctly, a fair bit under that.

Great sleuthing thereby attempting to pull the puzzle together by producing commonalities. A confirmed Texan is on flight MH370.

Wasn't the copilot destined to be married soon? The simulator is such a huge elephant in the room that it cannot be ignored.

Investigators examining the March 8 disappearance of a Malaysia Airlines plane with 239 people aboard believe it most likely that the plane flew into the southern Indian Ocean, a source close to the investigation said on Wednesday.

"The working assumption is that it went south, and furthermore that it went to the southern end of that corridor," said the source, referring to a search area stretching from west of Indonesia to the Indian Ocean west of Australia.

The whole "assumption" thing is a problem for me. ;) They have assumed much in this case for the past 11 days and how has that worked out for 'em?!

No doubt...

I believe someone knows- but we are going to get fed "the plane is in the Indian Ocean"- no trace found story.

LOL - have just got back from taking to dog down to play with the other puppies in the park and am reading the last couple of pages of this thread re: my simulator that keeps coming up - hilarious! :floorlaugh:

I'm going to get dinner started - will keep an eye out for questions on the thread :)

I was checking shipping lanes to see if there were dead spots, and that's where I got, too.

Here is the arc where it last sent info to satellite:

And here are the shipping lanes:

There is a dead spot the general shape of a triangle under Indonesia that DOES include part of the satellite arc (which surprised me). My guess is that the plane went down in that area, and that's why nobody reported debris.

I'm doing my best to keep you from being labeled a terrorist Derryn, I promise. :seeya:
(Hopefully you don't mind me quoting you and posting your simulator all the time. :giggle:)
