Very astute analysis, ImpatientRedHead! This is what I know about the 9/2009 charges:

He tried to befriend a girl at a party or bar (can't remember which). He told her that he needed a play to stay because he could no longer stay with his roomates (big lie, he lived at home) and asked her if he could spend the night at her apartment. She told him no and left to go home. Later that night, she awoke to him at the foot of her bed, wearing only his underwear. She screamend, made a rucus, and he ran off. She then called the police and reported it....Yes, he was stalker in this incident!

You are one smart cookie!

Regards,
GGG

In addition to stalking, seems Leggs has some voyeuristic qualities as part of his mo - standing at the end of the bed with with woman (fantasizing?), and also standing at the end of Sarah's bed, with his pants down around his legs. (reported in the media)

Thanks for clearing up some of our questions!

About the memorial. I am glad that the location has been moved.

If I were in the family, I would not want a memorial at the location where this demon dumped, or possibly tortured and murdered my precious child.

I just have to flash back to Mark Klaas and his sweet daughter Polly. Did they have a memorial at the location where she was found?

RE: Daddy

As quoted by someone close to the family, Daddy Foxwell, was "lost" a long time ago. He has a substance abuse problem. He would get clean for awhile, (while attending church) and then mess up again. Apparently, he was in jail at the time of Sarah's disappearance. He has a record with the MD judicial system as well....

At some point in time, he attended the church where Sarah's memorial is being held, even played in the church band....

Have you heard anything on the bio mom ? Did she fight for custody ?
I have serious issues with children being 'taken' from a parent and given to someone the court/state deems 'better' only to end up dead because of their decision. How long had Sarah been separated from her mom ?

I have only heard a rumor that both her Mom & Dad were in jail, not sure if that is true or not. I have a serious problems with children NOT being given to a person fit, even IF it means going outside the family. A child deserves the best and if a family member isn't deemed capable the child should be placed elsewhere. We don't know the whole facts yet on the court/state "giving" her to the aunt. It seems unclear at this point...where the aunt was, in fact at this point. :banghead:

Her mom's not in jail now, her myspace was updated to ~RIP~ HALEY BUG
and she's online right now. I believe she also showed up for the custody hearings in court. I'd like to know her story.

The photo of Sarah is time stamped 10/17/08, which could mean she was with her mom at that time.

I certainly would too!

Actually I am not sure when these (rather useless IMHO) "memorial" piles sprung up... does anyone know??

I used to think they were ok, but lately I have begun to really feel they are a waste....especially when the toys could go to living kids in shelters

Years ago sad things happened and we did not see this huge amount of teddy bears and balloons from strangers...

I think people feel sad they want to "help"...so bring toys for living kids and light a candle or something

but stop the piles of expensive toys and flowers JMO...we see too many of them

I hear ya....I am always the :lone voice: on the "Shannon" thread..*(baby in a box)....I can't begin to understand why the state let her unfit mother keep her...nor do I understand how people support the mom and grandmother so much

seems to me in a lot of these cases we see generations of bad parenting and bad decisions....in this family we have these 2 sisters with their bad decisions..and now the 17 year old daughter is pregnant??? :banghead::banghead:

re the memorial........just going off topic a bit......here in australia people put up little wooden crosses on the edge of the roads where someone has been killed in a car accident......it can be awful driving along and seeing cross after cross......but also is a bit of a reminder to take care on the roads.......do you do that over there?????

We of course do not have as many of these awful crimes as you do......considering our population is a drop in the ocean compared to yours......so when they do happen they are massive media events.....but no one has these memorials....normally it is a cross again with a photo...

I do think putting stuffed toys etc there is a bit of a waste of money and feel maybe that money is better off going to some sort of fund or something towards abused or maybe sick children in that person/childs name....

No rumor on Sarah's bio dad being in jail. He was released on 12/23 according to court records after being held for theft charges that he committed with his own father! Sick bunch, they are...

Child predators silence their victims with threats. He was seen by Sarah's sister - how did he silence her? Did he threaten to kill Sarah and her sister, or threaten to set the house on fire, kill all the children, kill the aunt, or their animals? The threats by a child predator can silence a child for a life-time. I'm wondering what he said.

I think people just want to feel like the child is being remembered, and that is the only way they personally can show that. I like what was done in the Robert Manwill case. The stuffed animals were protected fromt the rain by a volunteer, and after a few days, they were donated to children.

Looking at this article it looks like Sarah's grandfather was home at the time of her abduction.

Wicomico County Sheriff: Sarah Foxwell's Aunt wasn't home at time of Sarah's abduction
Wednesday, 30 December 2009

We’re learning more about the events surrounding the disappearance of 11-year old Sarah Foxwell whose body was found on Christmas Day. The grandfather was home at the time she was abducted. Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis also tells WGMD that the aunt was not home at that time. He adds that the entire family including the mother, the aunt and the grandfather were all extremely cooperative, and that there is no indication that they knew the abduction was about to happen.

Lawyer: Man Denies Harming Kidnapped Girl posted 12/30/09 8:49 am

SALISBURY, Md. - An attorney for a 30-year-old Salisbury man charged in the disappearance of a girl found dead on Christmas Day says his client denies allegations that he harmed the child.

Thomas Leggs Jr., a registered sex offender in Maryland and Delaware, was charged with kidnapping and burglary one day after 11-year-old Sarah Haley Foxwell's family reported her missing. She was found dead in a wooded area days later.

Arch McFadden, an attorney from the Office of the Public Defender, represented Leggs during a Wicomico County District Court bond hearing. He says Leggs "has denied and continues to deny any involvement in this crime."

It kind of puts a new spin on the intolerance of a memorial if the property owner associated with Leggs. Which we don't know whether he did or didn't, but if he did it could shed a different light to things. Maybe a trace of guilt over letting him use his property.
This would be expected. I would feel absolutely horrible if someone I let come on my land, ended up committing a heinous crime and left the body of a precious child on my land.
I am against these displays regardless. It gets to be too much. I've seen crosses on the side of the road and these are lasting reminders. I also think a better use of resources is to donate something/or time/or money in Sarah's name to a worthy cause.
The poster on here who has memorials (sorry I can't remember your name right now) those memorials are a tasteful lasting rememberance. imo. You are very kind and generous with your resources <3

Why isn't there a thanyou button on LogicalMinds' posts? I wanted to thank for posting and couldn't.

Well, here is a thank you from me.
