Bumping for anyone who missed it.

The piece of the puzzle (well, one of them) that's missing for me is how SM knew that HE thought she might be pregnant if they hadn't been in contact and she hadn't been leaving notes.

So, was DJ, TM's source at the Tiltied Kilt as to what was going on with HE? I think so.

Hopefully that is not a piece for the jury, it is not for me, if HE thought she was pregnant, I could not see her not letting SM know what she thought, but I doubt she would broadcast that she did.

Do you think she was the mastermind behind it?

I always have, and I still do. I didn't think he was as involved as he probably was though. Hearing that he called her right after the date and told her he left his wife, missed her, and wanted to see her really bothered me - that is just so evil and heartless.

WMBF News

Coming back from lunch, the judge is addressing Moorer about his right to testify or not testify. Moorer told the judge he will NOT testify. The jury has not been brought back into the courtroom.

NO Defense witnesses!??!!?

They are going to closing arguments!

I feel like a lot has been left out.

Collectively here on WS, we have spent 1000% more time sleuthing than the State and the D put together IMO.

Wow. Just wow. This will be over today! Maybe even a verdict???

WMBF News

The defense has indicated no evidence will be presented on behalf of the defendant.

Since Heather had SM's phone blocked is that why he used the pay phone?

Wow, just wow. I can't believe NOT ONE WITNESS, nor one piece of document from the defense.

WMBF News

The jury is back in the room and the defense has officially announced they rest, bringing to a close the portion of the trial where evidence is presented.

Comment From Jason
Is that typical for a defense not to present any evidence?

WMBF News:
Hi Jason. The defense is under no obligation to present any evidence. The burden rests solely on the state.

Sounds like it, sounds like she would not answer his calls if she knew it was him. Well - one of the reasons. Why he had to park so far from the payphone and crawl through the bushes, I dunno.

He used it so there would be no record of them having had talked. It wasn't obvious on the video that it was him. He didn't anticipate her calling her roommate and being the focus, so thought he'd never be caught on the Walmart camera.

The phone call to Bri, and HE's subsequent call to SM's phone, is what set it all in motion. In a way, Heather helped solve her own missing persons case.

Just as quickly, the jury is escorted out of the courtroom for any motions the two sides might want to present. No new motions were made and closing arguments should begin shortly.
