What is the 'specific purpose of the party'? And regarding WS, it's been the assumption that the Wetterlings attending the 'party' was last minute. If you believe that not to be true, then what?
 
cGorg, re your deleted post from earlier I wouldn't want to delay you in your search for someone who's interested.

Additionally, a post where I defended myself from Human's wild assumptions of 'attacking the Wetterlngs.. 'playing games' .. Assuming 'declassified' meant anything to do with the police..the 'impossiblity' of egress across the farm, and 'partylines being phased out by the 60s has been deleted. Obviously this runs against open discussion.. and the spirit of the internet. I'm done here, a shame considering what I was planning to do for this effort.

Are you suggesting this was an "inside" job? Can you present your ideas and / or some information? Adding mystery to the mysterious has a tendency to make WS'ers indifferent towards it.

The party was to celebrate "the triumph of arts and crafts" of the St. Joseph Millstream Arts Festival.

Why would the Wetterlings have been expected to attend? Patty was the chairman of the Festival. Given that, I think it's pretty safe to say that others would be expecting them to attend.
 
Mario, don't go. It is hard for some to accept newcomers sometimes when you have been researching for years. Sometimes it is hard to trust people who come on the case, we don't know if the kidnapper is reading or commenting.

I for one would really like to hear what your ideas are and what you had planned.
 
If a monk or molester who knew Dan Carle talked to him before the party and Dan Carle happened to mention that he was going to attend the gathering where the Wetterlings were due to show. That gives the kidnapper an idea of the day and time that the boys would be there most likely alone. We still are not narrowing the suspect list down though. It just seems to get larger. Sheriff needs to share info.

It seems like a lot of men from Waukesha were looked into regarding Jacob.

1. 57 year old Waukesha man had holes drilled in his trunk, resembled the suspect sketch, and had an extensive record in Waukesha, Walworth, Juneau, Monroe, Jefferson, Columbia, and Crawford counties; Ashland, Superior and Duluth, MN.

2. They were searching this Waukesha parolee's car for clues in regard to Jacob's disappearance. He never had any prior child abuse allegations though.

3. Daniel Acker - convicted pedophile from Waukesha. "Police who searched the basement of 61-year-old Acker's Waukesha home this week found a model police station, featuring a dozen photos of abducted and murdered children pasted to the inside walls; journals with hundreds of pages written on Jacob Wetterling and John Zera, a boy abducted and found dead in Whitnall Park in 1975; and 1970s model cars with the names and dates of death of abducted and murdered children written by Acker on the bottom."

The 57 year old man was Ronald K Howard, a convicted sex offender in Wisconsin. He drew interest in Jacob's case because he resembled sketches of the suspect. He was a drifter that logged 8,000 miles a month, collecting placemats from dining establishments where he ate. It wad determined the closest he got to St. Joseph was Duluth.

thank you. That is an excellent article. I wonder why it was originally stated that they were at a PTA function?

it sticks in my mind because parents from the PTA at my school came and talked to me about it. Not that they had been there, but that they knew her from PTA functions in the state.

I agree we need to deal with it to prevent it.

I am a retired person. Ever since my teens, we knew of the term "jail bait". This is not a new concept.

Sex offenders are excellent at blaming everyone else.

And look on WS at all the juveniles who are killing and raping. I think a lot of us almost instantly think that a teen might be responsible if the victim is a child.

I cannot agree with Patty except that we need to get to the source.

I have no pity for a man who violated his step daughter. I bet she has plenty of issues. Ugh. it makes me sick
 
I am still astounded because I know that is was stated that they were at some kind of PTA gathering.

I tried to google references, but instead I got this interesting blog.

This woman talks about Jacob's Wings where his fliers were sent all over the place via Northwest Airlines.

It brings tears to my eyes thinking about all of the people who helped.

It doesn't help Jacob, but the monster who took him will never conquer love. Never.

No, I tried to find something online but no luck. I do have two articles, possibly three, about the man. This occurred in April 1990.
 
Does anyone have a link to the video interview of DR by a male reporter? The video was shot inside a cafeteria or lounge or something, perhaps at a school where DR is a teacher.

In the video, DR talks about the investigation, and says something like "I'm not the quarterback, I'm not Brett Favre."
