I was just noticing that in some of her younger photos where she's smiling, it looks like her front four teeth are bridgework and the rest looked like they were kind of sketchy (as they still do).

Maybe as she got older, they thought removing the bridge made her look more "handicapped"?

Yes, I think that is what happened.

Is the house in the video the same house D was found deceased in ?

So let's just think about this for a moment...

What if... from birth, Dee Dee latched onto the attention & benefits she received as a mother with an ill child. By the time Gypsy was in her critical years (age 2-5), the scam was already WELL underway. Gypsy was already being brought up as this sickly, frail, wonderful little angel girl with a big heart and a terribly heart-wrenching diagnosis for the future. It was already game-on.

For the next 20 years, this is how this girl was raised. She had her role and Dee Dee had hers, and that was that. There is no possible way on this planet or any other, that Gypsy would come out of this "normal". Living in a world of deception & role playing her entire life.

Not that I'm defending her in ANY way for what she did to her mother, but for anyone to expect her to just "walk out the door like any other 23 year old would" is rather unrealistic in this scenario. She is nothing like any other 23 year old. She doesn't think the way "normal" people think and this much is quite clear by the probable cause statement. Ethics and morals, if they have any place in her thought process at all, look nothing like what they'd look like to most other 23 year old young women.

Bottom line? IF this was in fact an ongoing scam all these years... Dee Dee broke this girl's mind by raising her to be donation-bait.

Wow, I am at a loss for words! Just when I think I can't be surprised anymore something comes down the garden path and blows me away! I was afraid I knew how this was going to play out but I wanted to be SO wrong! This was just a sad/bad situation!

Wow! What a crazy crime. Unbelievable things happen all the time.
I think overall Gypsy is a victim.

IF this scenario is true, then Dee Dee got what was coming to her.

Your comment seems to direct towards my past post in which I mention her age. If you're referring to my own comments, you're misquoting me. I didn't compare her to "any other" 23-year-old, whatever that even means.

However I still stand by my argument that we're giving this girl way too much credit.

She was raised as donation bait....yes. I mentioned that as well. I also wonder if at a certain point she became part of it. Whether that's true or not, I guess we'll find out. She wasn't stupid, that's a fact. Every video or interview I've seen makes it seem like she's as smart as she could be in her situation. But honestly....we're going from being raised as donation bait to being raised to kill?
If your argument about ethics and morals stands, how she's not like other women her age, then she doesn't know that murder is wrong. Yet she knew it was wrong enough to run away after she did it, and getting "hired muscle" so to speak.

We're jumping from fraud to murder here. Like I said before, the whole innocent victim who snapped thing is not clicking with me.

Sadly, I bet in a year she will be acquitted because others will believe it.

Glad someone is saying this. I can't imagine what growing up like this would be like. I wonder what kind of education Gypsy got? How much time did she get to spend without her mother around? What was their time together like when other people weren't around? Was DD living in a kind of fantasy land that Gypsy realized was messed up as she got older? Those smiles they have together in various pics looked genuine to me... I felt happiness coming through those images. But now looking at them I just want to know what was going on in each of their internal worlds.

Another thought.....if a child was born with a chromosome "issue" probably wouldn't be retested by every doctor. I would think that if a parent took a 12 or 13 year old child to a new doctor due to a move and told said doctor that the child was diagnosed with a chromosomal "issue" at birth, the doctor wouldn't see a need to retest to confirm, UNLESS, it was completely apparent that the child didn't display any of the symptoms associated with that particular "issue". There are a whole lot of chromosomal deficiencies and rare disorders that some docs never encounter. I can tell anybody that I had leukemia back in the day and if my medical records were destroyed by a hurricane, who would question something like that?

There are some medications that can really mess up your teeth. This would be my guess.

But if she wasn't sick how did she get those meds? You can't fake leukemia to an oncologist. They aren't going to write out scripts bc you claim your child has a low platelet count (going off memory, don't remember exactly how leukemia affects the body).

Can you fake muscular dystrophy to a specialist?

What meds could she have used to cause tooth loss without a prescription?

To add to my endless blabbering....

I mentioned Stockholm's a few pages back, and THAT I could jump on board with. DeeDee isolated Gypsy from her family and seemed to keep her inside a lot. But usually, those with Stockholm's live with their "captors" forever, not knowing any different.

The one thing I could think of is that she meets this boyfriend online, or any other people for that matter, and they make her realize that what she's going through isn't at all normal. In this case, with her mind as warped as it is, she would go to an extreme like murdering her mom.

My guess is that they will either acquit her or lock her up in a psychiatric facility.

I was specifically thinking anti-seizure meds, and they are prescription medications. And if you've conned doctors into believing your child is sick (and it looks like D. did), then it wouldn't be hard to get those meds (there are off-label uses and they are commonly used for things other than epilepsy.)

eta: otc meds can also cause dental damage due to improper use -- liquid medications with flavors, for example, are essentially medicated syrups. They're full of sugar, and if the child doesn't rinse or is asleep, that sugar and acid will just sit on teeth and erode them.

The only other reasons a child would lose her front teeth would be dental trauma (an accident of some kind that caused avulsion) or abysmal dental care.

I can't tell you how incredibly disgusted I am right now. People spent a lot of time and effort into trying to find her and....darn...she can go to....I'm sure you all know where she can go. I'm sorry. I'm so disgusted.

According to the FB "case" page, she tried to run away at least a few times prior. I still don't think that excuses or justifies murder, but I also think it shows her state of mind and possible desperation. I think a psychiatric facility may be the best place for her for now.
