Taking Gunther Today and anonone's posts another gander...
Anybody on this thread aware of any persons mentioned thus far that that have an address listed as being in the direction GT mentioned, or the road, Hughes, mentioned by anonone? TIA:thinking:

In re-looking at the crime scene images, tire tracks make it apparent that her car was heading eastward toward Courtland when it veered off into the side drive.
Here is a link to the Google Map image of the area...
https://www.google.com/maps/place/Co...a554e95715c6a3

There are no towns within miles in that direction...
So where could she have been coming from?

Safe house, drug house, gangbanger hangout?
Any info on what or who could live in that direction?

Is Leah's house that way?

I can tell you most certainly that deputies would not know that gas was poured in her mouth.
The protocol on the scene of cases such as this goes something like this...

Gunther, respectfully, is your EMS/LE background in Chicago? Because I can tell you from my experiences, that in small towns, the fire dept/EMS/sheriff's deputies are usually VERY tight in a small town...many deputies are also volunteer firefighters or EMTs or they are related to/friends with one another. Not to belabor the point, but I can just see the scenario of those on scene talking to or working with each other and the info being passed on at the local convenience store/diner/church, fill-in-the-blank.

but how did the info et exchanged so fast? we're talking the couple hours between the fire and her death.

I read that ex BF Bryan Rudd moved out of the area....could she have been trying to reconnect with him?
<modsnip>
Maybe she wanted to get away?

It kind of sounds like maybe several of the emergency workers, not just the tow truck driver, stopped at the gas station for drinks, bathrooms, whatever? They would have been talking among themselves and could have been overheard.

Jessica's Aunt Deborah Sanders said that she and Lisa Chambers, Jessica's mother, were with her when she "took her last breath". I took that to mean at The Med because I doubt the helicopter flight crew were waiting around for family to show up before they left.

Medivac units are way too small inside to allow passengers. so it had to be at the hospital.
I read somewhere, but can not confirm that she was on life support, (probably due to lung damage) and they ended up pulling the plug.

Is Leah's house that way?

Just some more location questions- Who lives around that area too? Does anyone (person(s) from M&M gas station) live around that area? Is it possible Jessica was heading to car wash because she wanted to clean car, but didn't know it was closed down? Has anyone definitively determined what direction Jessica took when she left M&M gas station, and was anyone in car with her? Were there any eye witnesses. It's difficult to think about where Jessica was headed because don't know the last place Jessica was, unless it was M&M and then idk if anyone knows what direction she went from M&M. If Jessica was going to Leah's then maybe carjacking perps or perp hid in her car. Jmo

At this point, your guess is as good as mine. To my knowledge, BR lived in another state at the time... I can't remember which link had that information, but i'll look when I get a chance.

She lived with Rudd for two years.
She bought 14 gals of gas...makes sense to me.

Do you mean physically reconnect with him? I believe he had moved to Iowa. Don't think $14 in gas would get her very far. Plus, I believe he left in 2012, and she allegedly had at least one other ex-bf after him, IIRC

According to Jessica's sister on the Justice For Jessica Facebook page, she did NOT live with Rudd for two years. She also put to rest some other rumors or untruths. Its hard to find her posts, I have only read the messages once and it was a post or posts she made in response to someone who posted erroneous information.

The one thing that becomes very clear to me is that whoever did this to Jessica went beyond what is necessary to kill her. I am referring to the gas/lf down her throat. That makes it personal and it indicates that the offender wanted her to suffer. I have no doubt she knew the offender as well. Jessica lived a very high risk lifestyle and put herself at risk that night by being a lone female driving down a dark road. The offender seems to have taken his time and tried to make sure any evidence in the vehicle was destroyed by fire.

I believe Jessica was set on fire outside the vehicle.
If she were sitting inside the car and an accellerant like gasoline were poured everywhere, she couldn't have gotten out. The explosion would have covered her with flames and fuel. She would have died within seconds. I may change my mind on this but at this point, that is what I see.

BBM...I am sure it wasn't your intent, but this sounds very close to victim-blaming. A woman should never have to feel she is putting herself at risk by driving down any road alone. And while she clearly had made some poor choices in her life (who hasn't), based on what we actually know as opposed to rumors, I don't know that her lifestyle was particularly more high-risk than very many other teens all over the country. This post is all just my opinion.

I just keep this little list handy.

i just tweek it every now and then.

Not that it amounts to a hill of beans but it gives me a boilerplate to revise.

Means,motive and opportunity
1)Means :burned

2)Motive :extreme rage,jealously,paraoid,desperation

3)Opportunity:Stalking (I have absolutely no information that Jessica was being stalked by anyone. I am brainstorming using my probability theory (hinky~meter)& this idea has stuck with me)
Examples:

 • i.e. Use social networking sites and technology to track you.
 • i.e. Spread rumors about you via the internet or word of mouth.
 • i.e. Use other people as resources to investigate your life. For example, looking at your facebook page through someone else’s page or befriending your friends in order to get more information about you believe more than one person is involved
 • :moo: Oh,I also believe more than one adult was involved & if given that as a possibility my heart breaks for the damaging effect it would have on any children. Boy,that was a hard sentence for me to write. :sigh:

Its called a victimology assessment.
Basically, you try to consider all factors of the crime to try and understand why that particular victim was chosen, at that time and place.

A victimology assessment looks something like this.

http://www.experts.com/Articles/Vic...gators-Experts-in-Violent-Crimes-By-Dan-Vogel

Ideally, you would want to interview the friend, family member, schoolmate...etc. one on one, but in this case we have to take what we can get.

The goal is to come up with a working hypothesis of the offender and his actions.

And I would guess that your daughter and her friends would never do many of the other things JC seems to have done.

Thinking outside our own realm of experience is necessary to understand what happened to JC.....IMO.

I don't have to think outside my own realm of experience, thanks.
my daughter, cheerleader and Jessica, cheerleader. Check.
my daughter, abusive boyfriend, Jessica, abusive boyfriend. Check.
my daughter sought shelter to get away, Jessica, sought shelter to get away. Check.

What exactly are you saying JC "seems to have done" that would be indicative of willingness to walk alone into a bar in another small town? Sounds an awful lot like victim bashing to me.

Do we know who Jessica's boyfriend was after BR?

I must have missed it!

This is an excellent link. Mr. Vogel has authored many useful articles that I remember using as references when working on my masters degree. If I recall correctly, his expertise when with the FBI was analysis of victims of violent crimes. He has lots of experience and insight into crimes such as this one we are discussing.

These places are more of a neighborhood gathering spot; playing pool and watching sports games. If she had been there much and was comfortable with the people usually there or meeting up with someone she knew, it doesn't seem too far from possible. On being underage and therefore not being served, minors in these places have others order drinks for them and drink them with an eye out for onlookers, very common. She could also order a number of soft drinks or "virgin" versions of mixed drinks.

On being outnumbered, the pics online of this place shows more female than male; unknown whether that's their norm or not. It's not a dressy swanky place. In any case, if she was meeting up with other gfs, no matter. Or maybe it could have been just an "out of the way" place to meet someone, male or female, to talk and catch up.

And lastly, Leah's House has been debunked as simply a "battered women's shelter". It's mission encompasses first time offenders, drug and alcohol abusers, and women needing a structured and safe living environment while receiving Christian counseling in rehabilitating their lives. It is probably often used as a court mandated alternative to incarceration.

Hope that helps put some perspective on things. I'm not thinking it likely JC was headed to the Backwoods Bar and Grill that night but it wouldn't surprise me. Nothing in this case does anymore.

I'm baffled what point you are trying to make. It is a fact that Jessica's car was found on Herron Rd, west of Courtland. Leah's House is south of Courtland, in Oakland, on Hwy 51. The Backwoods Bar is north of Courtland, in Sardis, also north on Hwy 51. Nobody has said Jessica was seen in any bar, anywhere, the night she was murdered.
