im not voh910, but in nc there arent many basements! attics yes! moo:seeya:
a little o/t but why go out if all you're going to do is sit and text all night? you can do that from home.
Anyway,Nick also said he had met her at Froggy's when she was there with a male friend - he didn't say she had been with her husband when they met. Why was she hanging out with guys versus going out with other female soldiers/peeps she met at work if husband wasn't around? She'd only been in town for a little over four months.
I haven't a clue, but I do know that the kids who come to our home will sit side by side on the sofa and text to each other so no one knows what they are talking about, so that's not so strange to me. The other part, about why she would choose to go out with a male friend who wasn't her husband instead of another woman, who knows.
Could it just be that whoever she was texting was close by and spooked her?
What can you guys see on her facebook page?
I hope and pray that young woman is ok and just laying low for some reason.
I have family there, and know for a fact that Fort Bragg has been trying to address a huge surge in violence there for years. Fort Bragg set up abuse hotlines, are more pro active counseling for soldier couples and/or families, etc. They dont like the bad rap its giving them either.
Fort Bragg officials say they are taking action. "Violence against women is abhorrent and not tolerated here," said Maj. Gen. Arthur M. Bartell, in charge of Fort Bragg when the most recent murders occurred, in a statement to PEOPLE. Since 2002 the base has doubled its mental-health counseling staff, hired victims' advocates and started a confidential reporting system for domestic violence complaints. Over the past year Fort Bragg investigated about 550 domestic violence incidents, up about 38 percent from the previous year; base officials say that higher number reflects their including unmarried couples in the statistics and their efforts to encourage people to report domestic violence.

She looks like a strong person, and definitely has better training then most of us. There are only two reasons how a soldier can be over powered;
1. Someone they know, love, trust blind sided them.
2. Equal training by fellow soldier over took them.
Old houses on Fort Bragg had/have basements. Not sure about the newer ones.

Interesting that nobody is talking about the 'something spooked her' comment anymore. It's changed to 'pull over and let me out here'. :waitasec:

Or the fact she "just left a bar" she could have been intoxicated. Nobody is saying "she was loaded or not loaded", I'm all over the place with this. If she was "texting" while at the bar "a lot", they need to find out who she was texting. According to her FB, none of those people (including her BFF's) are saying they talked to her that night, so did she have some kind of fight with the husband on her cell? Did this Nick guy do something? There is just way too many situations that this poor girl could have come across. Maybe she decided to go out that night because she didn't want to be at home out of fear?
i can see that mike changed his to a pic of the 2 of them, instead of the one he had up earlier this evening
Does anyone have a link to the Media report about the text, whether its heresay or not, where she allegedly stated via text that she was home safe....???? I know I am a pain in the buttinski....but would surely appreciate it. Was this something reported right away? I just don't want to have to start on page one and go back and read each media report to try and find it if someone can even direct me to where to begin my search for it? TIA
Greetings Sleuthers. It is good to see several familiar names. Thanks to everyone who has posted links/videos, etc. Your posts really helped me to read, catch-up and get up to speed on this case. I just learned about it today and came to WS tonight. Thanks to VOH910 for coming on WS and sharing information that helps us have information on the place, people at the bar and general information. Couple things came to mind as I've been reading and watching: 1) I also noted (like norest4thewicked) during the interview with Nick that he did not appear to have any injuries or marks on his neck, fact, arms. JMO, I believe that though Kelli is small in frame that she would have been able to inflict some injury if she was in a fight for her life. 2) the video clip showing her apts and where Nick reportedly dropped her off - they said it was a ways from her building. Small woman walking alone in wee hours - JMO would have been an easy mark for an evildoer. and 3) In the quote from her mother, mother said that something spooked Kelli and that even though Kelli did not want to get out of the car... that she did. Mother said she did not understand why K got out. My questions on this is how does Mother know this information. Just some thoughts and pondering after speed reading 13 pages of posts this evening : ). I appreciate fellow sleuthers; your ideas and opinions. I know if I were ever missing, I would want yall on the case. Hopefully as more information is revealed we will learn answers.
Young people text all the time. They text when they go out to dinner, at clubs, even while driving. It's just the way people are nowadays. Not saying it's right or wrong, but that is the way young people communicate.
I would think that Kelli would have male friends. She is in the military, after all. She works with a lot of men. Maybe Kelli was very outgoing, as are many young women. We certainly shouldn't judge her for any of this speculation.
Nick does state in his interview they had plans.
