I'm thinking why not just leave the van on the less traveled road.

ETA: Like it was meant to be found THERE.

I'm wondering if Sara had been saving up her paychecks? How much money did she have? When did she last cash her check?

How could she make any real money driving an hour round-trip to work? I wonder what the total cost of transportation was.

How did Sara spend her lunch breaks? How many hours a week does she usually work? Sometimes coworkers all meet up after work (at 18, Sara wouldn't be old enough to drink, go to a bar...)...might she know someone closer to her work area? Maybe have a boyfriend near her work? (But then phone records would refelct this...)

I'm at a loss here. I think I/we have speculated/considered a variety of possibilities/angles, but with little new information from LE...

C'mom, LE, give us something so we can help! As Foxfire always says, information/publicity is key in these cases!

(Hmmm...this makes me wonder, maybe they have an idea as to what may have happened and are currently in the process of investigating this? Likely not releasing anything so as to not "compromise the integrity of the investigation"...or do they have no idea, like us...)

That article was published yesterday. A little late but finally.

Exactly, over two weeks after she's considered missing is the public informed the van was white. I still can't help but wonder, why not before? I apologize for my tangent on such an issue, but certainly not everyone in that area knew her. Those people may not have thought they knew anything about her disappearance for that reason, but they very well may have noticed two people in a white van arguing at a stop sign in the area that morning. Providing a picture of the van to MSM could lead to tips . . . one such as, hey, I saw a van like that parked on this other road nearby around 700 am or whatever. LE knows this kind of information is important so I'm left wondering if there was something that prevented them from publically seeking the information.
Sorry, I'll stop now.

I am wondering-after looking around facebook posts etc....and I don't have or do facebook so I can't read posts except public ones.....IF maybe she is being 'sheltered' by some religious group or whatnot. She may have been manipulated into something by someone who is trying to 'help' her. JUST a thought to throw out there-only conjecture. I just hope this is not another scenario where she is being held against her will by some freak like Abigail Hernandez was.
I hope I am not offending or over-reaching here.

Jumping off your post, also maybe like an Elizabeth Smart type scenario...?

No need to stop :) Jumping off your post, what would be some possible reasons that they would not release the vehicle info? What could be the reasoning behind this?

Maybe they know what happened to her? Maybe they are just trying to prove it?

It's possible they wouldn't release a complete description of law-enforcement private vehicle for security reasons but in this case that's like shooting yourself in the foot.

So chances are good she might have needed to gas up.

Where would she gas up if she was going to?

Actually I was thinking more in terms of monetary stress. You have a young adult living in a new environment, making very little money, and creating expenses where she's living.

Was she contributing anything to the expenses? Was she using the van for personal reasons incurring more expense? Was her presence there in the home causing problems?

Ok, what about a possible road range incident? (Now I'm totally reaching...)

If she broke down, maybe a wrecker or tow truck driver stopped to help her (among other possible persons)....but if she called a wrecker, her phone records would reflect this...

Maybe her battery was dead and she couldn't call for help, whatever happened to her...(or she could not get reception)...maybe she forgot her charger?

As I understand it, there has not been information in msm saying her car might have had any problems/damage...?

Ok, what about this, her car breaks down/is running funny, her phone doesn't work, she grabs all her stuff, locks her car up and starts walking...maybe her car just overheated or something, and starts right back up when LE starts it, so maybe they don't know she ever had car trouble..

One thing I wondered is had anyone taken out insurance on Sara? There is a current case of insurance fraud where some guys took out insurance on a housekeeper and then murdered her. Anita something. It's being discussed here.

Anita Fox. And the discussion is even slower than this one. ;)

My dad and sister are part of a neighboring tribe which is located in SC. Many Lumbee and PeeDee Indians are related by marriage. I just say this because the people locally think this is either related to the dad being in LE, or general crime within that geographic area. No one seems to have any info, and this is odd because the gossip vine is usually rampant when something happens. Generally, everyone knows something about everyone, but no one seems to know anything about Sara. Prayers are out for Sara and her family,

That would fit the idea that it's supposed to look like an abduction and wasn't.

Unless he grabbed her, zip tied her in his trunk, and then left her there while he dumped the van. In that case he could have gone as far as he wanted. Which makes me think dumped beside I95 the way so many other victims have been :( I really really hope I'm wrong...
That, however, would require someone to drive him back. Not out of the question, just makes it more complicated.
