I feel like I should introduce myself a bit since I just kind of jumped in there in the middle of the conversation. It seems like you all kind of know each other, but then here comes me lol.

I worked at Eurosport with both Janet and Raven. I didn’t see much of Janet, only a handful of times but I worked directly with Raven. So I have followed this case closely since her murder and have always felt that he was guilty. I am just so glad that he is finally on trial. I was beginning to think it would never happen.

We are so happy to have you join us MrsHopkins! I know this is probably emotional for you too. Hopefully you can give us some insight from time to time.
This trial was a long time coming, the jury must get it right.

"Janet was strong yes.....but she was also manipulated and controlled." This witness is throwing everything right back at the DT. I admire how strong and passionate she is about Janet.

My heart hurts so badly knowing how Raven controlled Janet's life and basically made her life a living hell. The words of these witnesses are touching my soul this AM......precious, sweet Janet I'm so sorry your life was this way.

The way they are introducing evidence and then not getting into any detail about it is driving me crazy. I missed this current witness's name as well...even though I heard her spell it out. She has been with the department for 27 years, I got that, 14 as a detective.

Spoke to Cathy Jordon on May 2, 2005 at request of officer Bradley. Cathy was a friend and coworker of Janet.

Now cross on this witness.

The way they are introducing evidence and then not getting into any detail about it is driving me crazy. I missed this current witness's name as well...even though I heard her spell it out. She has been with the department for 27 years, I got that, 14 as a detective.

I confess I always read the end of the book before I start one. I want to know what I'm watching for - so...ya. It's driving me crazy too! Why is the vacuuming important?
Are they hinting Raven vacuumed the LR?

Most times I've seen them set the foundation witnesses, then go on to the relevance. Does anyone know what evidence Daine Austin was testifying to?

Cathy Jordan = Cathy Cheek The DT kept calling her by her maiden name over and over. Finally the PT addressed that in redirect.

Re: the live stream

I just got an email from WRAL, after writing to them about the stream issues and the poor sound quality. He said they haven't seen any problems with the stream. I also asked him why in the afternoon links some of the witnesses and/or testimony was being left out. He said he would forward that question on to another department and get back to me on that matter.

He was an outside sales rep back east while I was in Utah. Everyone at the company knew who Raven was because in group settings he would dominate the conversations and loved to be the center of attention. I have been following this from day one.

BTW...If I remember correctly he was let go for "questionable" business practices.

Justice Junkie – what kind of background on the store (I’m assuming you’re referring to Eurosport) would you like? I’m happy to answer anything you might want to know (as long as I know the answer of course lol).

I was actually there the day he was arrested for embezzling from the company. Watched the police come and escort him from the premises. Very interesting day around there. None of us knew at the time what was happening. I was shocked when I found out though. Even though he was kind of a creepy person in general, I never saw that coming.

I really hate that her life was the way that it was and especially that it ended so suddenly and so painfully. It’s so sad that Kaiden will never know his mother and won’t be able to remember how much she obviously loved and adored him. There will only be a few pictures of them together for him to look at and the only memories he will have are going to be the ones that people tell him about her. I really hope that he is able to see her side of the family eventually. I can’t believe that he has been kept from them all this time. 8 years of that child’s life her family has missed out on. The only piece of her that is left on this Earth.

Cbaka – I’m not surprised. it sounds like all of his previous employers have such wonderful things to say about him with regard to employment with them.
