New Leads in Hailey Dunn Case

I just listened to the raw video of BD interview. My jaw dropped too when the reporter told BD Sonja was living with SA granma. Did you hear BD say it was only SA, his grandma and uncle? Who is SA uncle? Could he have been Sonja's boyfriend? It said her probation officer made her move out because she was violating her probation because an investigation was going on. WOW! IF that is true, how coincidental is that???

We have found that Sonja Rene Callahan was the victim of a reported kidnapping from a few months ago.

Callahan reported that a man and a woman took her from Odessa to San Angelo in April of this year as they were on the way to a drug deal.

What the heck? Then SHE was kidnapped? Where are Billie and Shawn currently living?

This was name of the person I remember living at Shawn's Grandmother's house during the search. How does Sonja fit into this?

•Hailey spent the night with her dad, Clint Dunn, on Christmas, so the morning of Dec. 26 was the last time he saw her
•David Dunn, Hailey's brother, says Hailey is playing a video game at home at 9 p.m. Based on her skill level, he believes she'll be playing until midnight.
Monday, Dec. 27

•Hailey's mother, Billie Dunn, says live-in boyfriend Shawn Adkins is fired from his job after some sort of blow-up
•Affidavits show Adkins arrived to work in Snyder at 6 a.m. and left without saying anything at 6:10 a.m.
•Adkins tells authorities he went straight to his mother's home in Big Spring. However, cell phone records show Adkins phone was used at 6:35 a.m. and 6:56 a.m. in Colorado City.
•Nearly a dozen call were made from Adkins' phone in the Big Spring area from 9:38 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.
•A neighbor reportedly sees Hailey talking on the phone in her backyard around noon.
•Adkins tells authorities comes home at 3 p.m.
•Hailey tells him at 3:15 p.m. that she is going to her dad's, then to Mary Beth's for a sleepover, but neither Clint nor Mary Beth see or hear from her.
•Adkins and Dunn withdraw $140 from an ATM in Snyder Monday evening. Affidavits say the money was used to purchase illegal narcotics....

I was thinking that her story may be true, until I read this. Why would they kidnap her? Seems like the story is being embellished more and more by the minute. :twocents:

JMO...I think everything is going to come full circle. It begins with Hailey's family ( I shudder to even call them that) and ends with them. Each one of the parents have culpability in Hailey's disappearance in some way or another. If this story, of this woman's is true, the visceral disgust that I have for all the people involved can not be described with words.

If SA handed her over for a drug debt it would make a lot of sense with the troubling time line. WE also struggled with 'when/where and how' he disposed of her, but he was still there when her brother got home.

If all he had to do was meet someone at a drop point, the timeline would make sense. I think he came back to the house after after 'quitting' his job, and told her she needed to come with him somewhere really quick. Maybe he even invited her to breakfast. But all he needed to do was get her into the car and drive away to the meeting place.

As I understand it BD is living in Austin and SA is back in the Big Springs/CC area...somewhere....last I heard.

What caught my eye was San Angelo and the drug deal. PJ?....the mother of CD's gf/fiance/wife lived there..at one time..When HD went missing, didn't she come up from there to CC to help search for her? Anyone remember that?

I'm tired of all these stories that are surrounded with drugs and muck....and she hasn't been found. The FBI needs to start nailing people to the damn wall!!! Sick of it. :furious: I think this does have to do with child *advertiser censored* and not only drugs. It all goes together, and am back to thinking "other" people in authority possibly involved. JMO

ETA: In the long interview, BD stated that Sonya was known to PJ?...did you catch that? They edited her name out, but stated who Patricia was. I can never remember her last name!!!!! I lip read "Patricia" tho. What is her last name ....or initial...please if anyone recalls. TIA

To holly blue: Naomi's mother is Patricia Trichel. she lived in San Saba, not San Angelo. According to the original news story, Callahan was not kidnapped. She willingly rode to San Angelo with 2 people to pick up drugs. On the way back to Odessa, they threw her out of the car. However, grand jury did not find enough evidence to convict.

This would explain the calmness from BD: if all this is true, then she knew Hailey wasn't dead. So she wasn't upset like if your daughter was really dead (whether you were a part of it or not).

And, if this is true, then it would explain the lack of forensic evidence to suggest Hailey was harmed in the house. Maybe she was drugged and whisked off in the night to meet someone... Still doesn't explain the 'deer in the headlights' look by SA.

Sonja Renee Callahan, the woman who prompted police to investigate new leads when she wrote a jailhouse letter detailing alleged abuse against missing teen Hailey Dunn, is giving new details about what she saw.

Callahan said Hailey was taken by a drug dealer from Odessa and his girlfriend to settle a drug debt owed by Hailey's mom. Callahan called the dealer a "very, very bad man."

Maybe I misunderstood before, I thought they said Hailey's body was dumped behind the Coliseum. In this video, they do not say that. Only that this is the location of the trailer she was held at.

Billie says this is all new to her, beyond the family he is telling her about. She does know some of the family (names edited out of the video).

Billie says she has heard that someone not in Hailey's direct family, but someone connected to Hailey owed a huge debt and she was traded for that debt. She has heard that story.

Billie did not know SC was in the Grandmother's home in Dunn. She only knew the Aunt & Uncle and Grandmother were there.

Billie thinks Hailey is alive and they are now finally close to getting her back.

Billie says something about Sonja being associated with Clint's girlfriend. Is she saying this woman is part of Naomi Stewart's family?
