what about the previous day interactions with medical personnel at a Dr. office and two separate hospitals say he was perfectly healthy normal little boy. How do you account for that?

He was being examined at those facilities for evidence of child abuse. their remarks have to do with injuries - OBJECTION JUDGE - side bar.

Mario was trying to have the Dr. say that those treaters and facilities were not looking for sudden infection they were looking for child abuse because - mom. Dr. Baden cannot speak to the intent or thought process of those medical professionals and Gallucci darn well knows that.

Whoa. Defense attorney asked the doctor if he could explain why, if Corey had been seen several times, why doctors didn't report the infection. Dr. Baden started talking about the father, and the baby and reports of whether the baby should be taken away from him.

State objects. SIDEBAR.

Dr. Baden says during those visits doctors were focused on injuries to skin.

[you know the outer bruises that seem to marry up with organ injuries as to their placement. you know the organ injuries caused by CPR  ]

Judge sustained it.

Wow, just wow. The attorney was supposed to advise the doctor THIS MORNING what he could and boyish talk about. This was one area. Hard stop.

Why did he even go there???? It wasn't an answer to the question.

Was that intentional? By the Defense?

The question Dr. Baden dodged has an answer I'd like to hear.

MOO

Mario is trying to have Baden speak to Dr. Andrew's findings. State objections. Objection denied. Bleeding in the backbone suggestive of injury to the lung found by Dr. Andrew - do you have an opinion on that? the act of autopsy can cause bleeding on backbone and in the pelvis, tht beelding is created by autopsy. like a garden hose. water can be turned off but leakage can occur from the hose after water is cut off.

So slimmy....big words to confuse. Why is this man not retired. Shame. Bloodwork was done by previous facilities.

broken heart syndrome, described by Baden as coming from extreme emotional upset and mostly occurs in women over 60 who experienced trauma.

It is not damage to the heart. that change will disappear in about 2 weeks and doesn't damage the heart. has never been identified in children. No cardio myopathy prior to CPR is Baden's opinion.

Mario is again leading the witness - judge rephrase.

Baden - thoughts on the audio recording - does the audio have any diagnostic value in form ing opinoin as to cause of death? Does the photo of Corey asleep have diagnostic value? Baden answers NO to both questions.

Dr. Baden is talking about broken heart syndrome, statistically women over 60, heart changes shape but doesn't cause damage. Dr. Baden says Corey did not have a broken heart syndrome.

Dr. Baden testifies that the various injuries to Corey did not cause his death.

Attorney is asking the doctor if he can make a medical disgnosis from ab 33 second video or the 2 pm photo of Corey. He says he cannot.

Dr. Baden says the injury to Corey's ear is not from an injury but from post mortem livitity.

"The heart mixes things in a mixing sort of way".

Gallucci trying once more to get Baden to say that the previous treaters did not see the alleged infection because they were only looking for child abuse. Objection.

Trying to get the jury to foget that bloodwork was done at New Jersey Medical late in the evening of April 1st and his white blood count was within normal range and he suffered from no fever, no cyanosis, no difficulty breathing etc.

Has anyone mentioned that it was one armed cpr? Thanks to those posting the trial.
Nurse Carnavale who was with Corey as he died, said that it was pediatric one hand CPR in her effective and concise testimony. (Which the defense could take some lessons on!)

Edit: taking the BABY from the father?? HE WAS SIX. Does Baden even know this case? (Sorry, I'm a few minutes behind, school dropoff!)

Is Baden just throwing shade at not One.... Not two... but THREE other professionals who saw Corey on 4/1? Oh, they were only focused on the abuse so they missed the life threatening LUNG INFECTION IN AN OTHERWISE HEALTHY CHILD? G t f o.
